I find it hard to believe they'd choose Wes to be a Mercernary over Derrick. They'd want Wes to be on the actual show.

Wes has a good elimination record, so I could see why they would choose that. But judging from the rest of mercenaries it looks like they just chose people who could be straight up physical and imposing if they wanted to.

People love to talk about the Young Bucks but what have these older ************* (besides Wes/The Kang/Abe of course) EVER been about? lol they started the show for us...or I guess I should speak for myself. They started the show for me and are the reason I got hooked. Their lives and storylines will always mean a lot more and seem a lot more real then the newbies. I love some of the new people too (Marie, Jenna, etc) but everyone from the Golden School era will always be my go to's. <3

I'd say no not just nostalgia...I legit like seeing them again and like to see more of thier stories. Have Veronica back, seeing where she is in her life...the same with the others and seeing them blend back into the mix of things and create good tv made the past few seasons for me. (as well as Marie alone in the redemption house...that was tv gold). All of them that have returned have been relevant and def needed each season.
I could give two ***** about these people from Big Brother...I don't watch their show...I have not interested in watching it and I don't need them on this one. Same goes for the new crowd...while I like some of them, many of them just annoy me and they seem to be trying to hard. That's why I can't stand people like Nelson. Once again, must my opinion, but I hate the people that say the old schoolers aren't relevant based on age or use age against them. If they're good tv, they're good tv. Who cares what their age is if they're there to compete and can get the time off let them come back.
Imagine believing Joss is an amazing cast member while knocking down Nelson every chance you get? Or do you “fans” not know the difference between cast member (reality tv personality) and competitor? Cause Joss was a great competitor (albeit way overrated and didn’t do much outside of the first challenge which was a race and this elimination when he has 50 pounds of muscle on Diesle so it SHOULD have been an easy win) but far from a great cast member to the series. He wasn’t even great on Ex on the Beach. He was just this good looking dude that was more background than main.

I love that Jordan and Jonna are close friends. His picture last year with her daughter was the cutest Challenge related post I’ve ever seen.And to be honest, Derrick would beat Wes in a physical elimination these days. Glad Wes gave up on the steroids but he would lose today.
This is still one of the dumbest takes ever. How do people still not get the difference in someone just using weights and actually doing a cycle? Wes looked no different than any average male who lifts in their early 20's. If you want to see someone who is roided up and does cycles look at jeremiah on florabama shore. He is abnormally big.

I will say the good thing Derrick did during Dirty 30 was taking Bananas out of the game! As well as making Nelson look like the fool he is ;)
