I don't think it has so much to do with him being gay as it is about people being okay with Cara being attacked and hurt and him standing up for Marie who is well liked. Shane has always been mean and hurtful. I don't like him myself. I am pleasantly surprised with Tony this season though. He really has been killing challenges!
