It's really sad that it took Nelson to make him somehow relevant for once this season.As much as I love him ❤️, his comeback is one of the worst of all times.
How? He may not get screen time or be dramatic but he is still one of the better performers in the game. It's the same thing when people call Darrell boring, they're both there to compete and win. His comeback is about what I expected. Besides he's been boring and quiet on the show for the most part in his latest challlenge appearances.
Worst, wouldn't be the exact word, "lackluster" would have been more appropriate.
It's like he just appeared last night for the first time in the show. Darrell was definitely not boring on Invasion, because of his funny confessionals, which surprised me a lot when it first aired.
Plus, Darrell was somehow an enough relevant character on Invasion since he was showed a lot, while Derrick was near to nonexistent as **** this whole season, until last night.
That's why I said his comeback wasn't really a GREAT comeback. He's barely there (or shown).

i can agree with this. Darrell to me has always been more entertaining than Derrick anyway. Derrick was a lot more interesting to follow when he was still the underdog. But Darrell has always had funny commentary.
I would be more disappointed in Derrick if he was sucking in the competition but he's doing pretty good and that's about all I expected from him honestly.
Worst comeback of all time was definitely Alton on Seasons 2.
In terms of what they've provided for their respective comeback seasons:
1.Veronica -competitively she was expected to not do so well, but in regards to confessionals and strategic play, she's made moves that has impacted the season away from the monotonous routine.
2. Shane - has provided more to Invasions than he has to his run on his earlier seasons. and brought some drama and competitive edge.
3. Trashelle - in BoTs she provided her drama.
4. Alton - Despite not being the beast he once was, and quitted sending Nany home too, he still added some drama and a hookup that dismantled the original Newbie Alliance in BoTs.
5. Darrel - Competitive edge and funny confessionals, but not much besides that.
6. Derrick - not much as shown, but he's expected to kick ***. Doesn't add much into the general season tho.
Derrick is here because he's a beast. Who cares if he's boring? And I disagree with that. He's still a ****** competitor and that doesn't equal boring
It's a TV show first, and from that standpoint, yes he is boring. There is a reason why they didn't even put him in the final cast for Season 31. It's a good thing that he's a beast and sexy looking at that, but it's not enough for TV show which requires entertainment

I don't blame the guy for sticking to his friends and staying loyal, all I'm saying is it's made him a boring player for the past several seasons he's been on. I was happy to see him for the competitive and mostly nostalgic factor, but I'm fine with him taking another break now.

Derrick is almost Dario level boring and mention his son every other confession, don't get why he was brought back for 31.
