MTV would have the press release out immediately if it cracked a million
TBH- I don't know how they measured ratings because the ones online are from nielsen boxes are not totally accurate . I was looking online for example siesta keys always always got 400k-650k on those weekly ratings online, but according to MTV and articles online the first season got to the 1.07m Mark:
Wait since when did they count DVR data? That means EVERYONE with a dvr is counted towards ratings? I know nielsan was always dumb but I thought that was the ONLY way they measured ratings. Now I'm confused and intrigued.
This is all a mess because it seems like they only messed up Tuesday's ratings and everything thing else seems to be fine. But I know they didn't crack a million so whatever.

So I am pretty sure The Challenge have gotten over the million mark this season in w.e mechanism they used.
1.07 is not the number of viewers in millions, it is like the rating share for it or something. When you post one of those tables, we tend to automatically look at the number of viewers but that's not the most important thing for ratings, it's that number. I don't know what it's called but I THINK it's like what percent of TVs (that have Nielsen of course) are tuned into that show at that time. I /think/. And then they can break it down into demographics too. That's the more important number over number of viewers
I didn't know this show had such bad ratings until I came to this site. Shocked it hasn't been cancelled--unless others are worse.
It's actually one of the best for MTV rating wise. lol. Shows how trash MTV ratings are. Also if you compare them to a CBS show like Survivor or Big Brother it is comparing apples to oranges cause CBS shows will always get much more just due to the network
wait i'm reading 1.7 million for Dirty 30 last night. Is this right or not? I already snatched my wig off and can't put it back on.. so..

The 1.7 million rating is wrong..
Oh jk I see what you're saying. RIP I got all excited for nothing. I typed out a long speech & everything ugh ofc
