His conversation with Shelli and Jace was very ignorant where they discussed what they liked and Jace said he loves black women and Clay was shocked by it. His "really?! Really?!" Was very telling and then he referred to light skinned and mixed black Women as "redbones" and Shelli said they look like lattes.
