Doubt MTV did that! It was also trending on facebook, I think promoting it as the creators from the hills and laguna beach is getting ppl that were fans of the show curious to watch that tragic trailer.
I see this going fear factor way the first 2 episodes doing decent then going down hill. But then again its airing after new episodes of teen mom it will help mantaing numbers.

There is a UK show similar to The Hills that Stephanie Pratt is on called Made in Chelsea but I had to stop watching because it's over the top and seems too scripted so I am slightly excited about this show. I do wish they would've chosen a different location and format because kids on summer break isn't too exciting to me but hopefully this is a success and we get to see them transition into careers and adulthood like The Hills.

lol ive seen some of Made in Chelsea and TOWIE but i really couldn't get into them. It was as scripted as the last 3 seasons of The Hills and then some more. Just too fake. Then there was Baldwin Hills which was just so uninteresting to me lol and Harlem & Washington Heights that were also bland af.

not scripted per say, but events are definitely orchestrated by producers so that drama will happen.
