Are we sure they stopped getting prizes for taxes? I would assume since the ratings are a lot lower companies don't care to advertise via challenges. I remember in the Golden Area everything was about the "T-Mobile Sidekick 2". I think they just aren't getting the promotions/advertisements like they used to.

There were a bunch of prizes in the Golden Era. Battle of the Sexes 2 had like $500K in prizes. The first Battle of the Seasons (the good one) had a bunch of missions where you won Saturn cars (they were ALL about the Saturns along with the Sidekick back then). The first Battle of the Sexes had some nice prizes too.
Svetlana also won a bike, I believe. In the water pressure tank mission.
