It's Booth/MTV's fault that The Challenge loses ratings when certain ppl are on BOTSeasons 2 was good asf but it sucked ratings wise cause there were too many rookies/fresh faces. Had they not built the Francis's on certain ppl then they wouldn't have this problem.
@ Debut Album yeah the Aneesa method is perfect not to mention ppl aren't tired of Herve b/c she takes breaks and manages to still be relevant.
Debut Album wrote:Lisa hasn't done much honestly. All she's done is cast old-schoolers. We still have to put up with the overused vets who refused to leave the show.
can't blame her though. those vets are the ones bringing in the ratings and the viewers. they have to include them in the franchise.. what lisa is doing is combining old vets with new people who has potential to replace the vets (once the viewers get used to seeing them as well)it's called phasing out lmao
Let me send Lisa a copy of Exes2 and show her ratings can be good without BAnanas, CAra, and Camila
Exactly. And CT was barley there too so...So like I said..She hasn't done much.
She's brought back old schoolers. Dont get those people confused with tiresome regulars such as Bananas, Cara, and Camila.
I already addressed that...
And I wasnt addressing you... I was talking to Tfunny lmao.
Y'all just got to accept that the show has to cater to the casuals over the superfans. Its about making money. Everytime the viewers drop they lose a lot of money. Theyre not going to take huge risks for the sake of a few hundred fans.
TV ratings are down across the board everywhere. Cable TV is just having a slow painful death due to streaming services and such. That being said, The Challenge these days does well for MTV and its about time they recognize it
i think they are recognizing it with all these specials.

Its unfortunately why we are stuck with John every season and camila

That's fine. But you have to think about this show long term. Those vets aren't going to be there forever so they have got to go at some point. Yes they are focusing more on newere people and that's great. But that shit should've been done a long *** time ago.

I think they are. Champs vs pros, the Miz returning, and filming the next season already even though they haven't started filming the Real World are all good sign for the show

Most shows aren't really meant to go on forever. I don't think thinking long term is the goal when you're not even sure how many more seasons there will even be. It might seem stupid to us but im sure the show has actual qualified people who analyse all the statistics and stuff.
God damn, I can't figure out if I'm a casual or a superfan guys. I've watched the show since I was in middle school...I guess super fan? But I don't hate Jenna...I guess casual? I really like the old school competitors like Derrick and Darrell, so I guess super fan? But I also like Amanda and Ashley...****, I'm casual. Then again, I hate the worthless competitors that go first every season like Simone, point for super fan! BUT WAIT! ****! I don't hate Camila! Casual it is. BUT, I favor good competition over drama...YES, I'm a super fan! Crap, I always laugh when Johnny gets under peopl's skin year after year...God ****it...casual again! But I know even the most obscure 1-time challengers! Super fan, baby! Am I super casual? **** SOMEONE HELP

Rooting for Bananas takes precedence over everything. You = Casual

Noone said this show should go on forever but it's obvious that they're going to keep it around for the forseeable future. So you start focusing on newer people so that it'll still get ratings. Like I said before...those vets aren't a guarentee.

I think they're doing a solid job of introducing new people lately. Whether Vevmo likes it or not, casual fans love Cory, Tony, Jenna and they seem to be building Ashley, Devin, Nelson, Kailah and Amanda (as a villain). I can see them trying to make Tori and Nicole R popular regulars too.

Yeah I agree. and I've said that they're focusing on newer people now. The fact that they're doing that now makes it obvious that they want to keep on with this show. They're really not in a position to can it honestly...I mean unless they want to rebrand the network or something.

Hey now, didn't say ROOTING for, I just said he makes me laugh! And you have to have respect for his game. No fan of the show, "casual" or "superfan", can ignore the existence of Johnny 6-win Bananas.
But see, that's sort of the whole thing. Having an attachment to someone who's been on the show for over a decade is the OPPOSITE of casual. "Casual" would be expecting a perennial flop to perform well. You just don't know any better.

This is exactly my point. "Casual" would be liking the people you mentioned (Cory, Tony, Jenna, etc) not Bananas, Derrick, Darrell, Cara Maria....You can dislike the old school people but liking them and knowing their full show history is not casual.

Well I liek Cory and Tony so I guess that makes me casual.

See the whole label as it is used here is dumb. I think it comes down to this: Liking a certain person has nothing to do with actually being a super fan vs. casual. Your knowledge of the show and the cast determines whether you are casual or not. Like whoever the **** you want but you better justify it up here on Vevmo and be ready to defend your choice lol

Yeah I agree. But I would say you don't have to justify who you like on this show to anyone. **** what people think or say and keep doing you..In terms of this show.

does anyone know why they didn't do an after show for invasion?
Plus another reason why ratings drop is b/c of promotion MTV sucks @ that. Have the challenge popping up everywhere.
I think they are. Champs vs pros, the Miz returning, and filming the next season already even though they haven't started filming the Real World are all good sign for the show
probably weren't getting views.
Marie Roda was eliminated first, production realized that there wasn't anything to talk about with their intended star eliminated so early.
i've always thought the promotion for the show sucked. the show could get more ratings if they actually tried to promote it a little better

it is hard to think long term in a business where u need to get as many viewers as u can season by season.
Agreed.
