There's a serious problem with the casting of this show. Jersey shore was literally a format copy of Real World and it did miles better than Real World has done since the early 2000s and 90s. If they just cast crazy people with compelling stories but still having that fun and quirky personality like people on Jersey Shore did than maybe this show wouldnt suck so bad lol

It really is up to the cast. Jersey Shore, they meshed well together even though they fought. The same goes for Real World Explosion (pre-exes and even after) and of course Real World Vegas 1 and 2. I think those are 3 examples of where the cast just clicked and made it enjoyable to watch.

Simotanously you have to get people to care about the network/brand/the show itself. So promotion is def important... promotion on other networks, good promotion, good editing, good scheduling, everything needs to be top notch.

Agreed. It really is how the casts meshes well together. Like I think Portland had some great casting choices but they didn't mesh well together which made it not that great of a season.
They should just cancel real world.... bad blood got like 300k viewers all season...they have ayto that can they just take challengers from... plus it gets better ratings than real world.
and they can also just do jersey shore with new people and do it like the real world, get new italians every seasons, it would get way more than 300k views trust.
