Theres a reason why the dark ages of survivor are the seasons after HvV up until arguably BvV with Philipines being the one gem in that period. Unpopular opinion but I didnt like that season a lot just because of a lot of the people on it but the format and gameplay was fantastic so that was a MAJOR positive for me. Ultimately the reason why I stopped watching a couple years ago plus I wasnt really into it as much as when I was in high school
Kaoh Rong is like a top 10 season for me ATM. I need to rewatch older seasons and reevaluate but I'm still bitter at how Kaoh Rong turned out with that dumb twist at the end and the winner when we could have had an epic showdown between the 2 that ran that merge.
San Juan del Sur has one of the best merges? Natalie Anderson is a Top 5 winner in Survivor history and I will gladly contest this with anyone. Not to mention that Missy, Jaclyn and Natalie is literally the strongest Final 3 in the history of the show on a strategic light. There was a case made for each of them to win and all of them would have made top tier winners in their own ways.

it really annoys me when people refer to Jaclyn as Jon's girlfriend like she didn't play a stronger game, like she wasn't the one who decided who they'd vote for and when. Jaclyn was the reason Natalie sided with them, she couldn't stand Jon. Jaclyn is her own person, if anything it was Jaclyn and her boyfriend.
Which ties into another rant which is girls on the show get either twice the shit guys do for the same moves or their moves get ignored completely if they weren't in your face running everything second of the game.

Jaclyn would have made an amazing winner if she won. She was basically running half of that merge and then her strong ties to Nat allowed her to sneak into the Final 3. But Jaclyn killed it and it's seriously stupid that producion called Jon for Cambodia but not Jaclyn when I think Jaclyn would do super well if given another shot.
trish definitely deserves lot more credit for tonys game. i feel like a lot of what you are saying challenge 17 could be blamed on how they edit and show things. like remember last season sunday made someone play an idol and it flushed out the idol? i forget the entire situation tbh

Honestly, Sandra showed up this season. She did more in her few episodes than what most of these duds ever did on their time in the show. Cirie's merge approach has been the right one but how can she combat 100 idols and vote stealers? Like stop trying to kill the game with these twists. If Cirie loses this game it'll be because of all the twists and idols, not because of her gameplay but this is hers to lose as of now.

GC peaked for me when tony and sandra gunned for each other. im glad that even after everything they are on friendly terms with each other. thats the difference between russell and tony...tony is socially a lot more likeable and a better person than russell ever was

I totally feel like everyone has been super hesititant post merge to make a big move but once the first one happens they'll come at us rapid fire.
