Camilla was definitely the best in the red team but the red team girls sucked. And iirc in the challenges Jenn and Emily did better than Camilla. Sarah did overall better than Cara in the challenges but she gassed out in the final. That makes her worse in my opinion. Maybe not in yours.

sarah was the top performing female on the gray team for the first portion of the season she was the fastest swimmer. 1/3 of the girls who made the jump without male assistance. Cara was getting paid 30k and has sucked all season long. She needs to do more then "keep up" to earn 30,000 dollars
CM didn't do anything bad while on the grey team, she didn't really slow them down or make them lose. Sarah attacking her and saying she was gonna ruin the final for them etc. was just hilarious because then Sarah ends up being the one who screwed over her team, not only by sucking and not being able to finish ala Big Easy, but also refusing to quit and crying on the ground and wasting time when Laurel, Luke, and CM were begging her to quit.
You may still not like her, but the one thing you can say about CM is that over the course of all of her seasons, she's shown dramatic improvement in her performances, and she's gained a lot of confidence too. She would easily wipe the floor with Sarah in pretty much everything but swimming and puzzles.
The thing I hate about Sarah as well is that there's always a scapegoat when she underperforms. Ruins, KA slowed her down during the balance beam part (true, but KA killed and carried that final the rest of the way). FMII, it was Vinny not her, even though she never had a chance in an endurance Challenge like FMII anyway. Cutthroat, it was CM, who actually overall had a better performance than her especially on the final. Rivals, she's grilling Katelynn about everything again, yet she lost that elimination for them. Seasons, it was Devyn, even though I think everyone can agree that even without Devyn, Sarah + whichever guy would've been the weakest team endurance-wise thanks to her. And finally Rivals III, she knew Bananas could **** her over, she was having major anxiety about it the whole final. But yet she has an excuse to not stand on the log; she's sick. She would have won if she would've stood out there, and that's on her as well.
Really should've put that entry in the Burn Book, but whatever.

there are some people who dont shine on the challenges until later on BUT in their case its because they didnt have the opportunity to do so due to politics, partners, bad luck, etc. in cara's case she had all the opportunity in the world to showcase what she had

And in Cara's case was her lack of confidence that impeded her. She also wasn't as good as she now. But she was always viewed as a contender and potential threat, even in her early challenges, so there was something there.

So by your logic Abram and Sarah were equal on cutthroat ? Abram and Laurel pretty much carried the team with everyone else either being average or below. Also Luke didnt do anything special but he was rarely a weak link in the team.
I still think Cara's only really good showing was on Free Agents, which given that the female competition on that show was pretty poor is unsurprising. I also think a lot of the praise thrown on her that season is based on her elimination record.
Bloodlines Cara wasn't very good. I know she won but she went up against two below average teams and she barely won. It was largely because Jamie was the only one who could eat that food and the other teams couldn't figure out the canoe. If you remove those two sections she comes in last. She was bad in a number of challenges that season (Trivia, Airpockets), admittedly weighed down by Jamie in some (mini-final), and middle of the pack for the remainder. She had a nice win against Aneesa, but other than that nothing particularly impressive.
Cara can be the frontrunner on a season where there are no top tier girls. Put a Laurel, Emily, Cooke, etc. on and she is a distant second best. She's had one top flight season and the rest were average at best.
