yep he was sent home during that challenge that he hit Shane during. They basically called a time out in the middle and said he had to go due to there being a no violence policy. Shane begged and pleaded for them to let Steven stay saying it was a playful hit and he even apologized to Steven because Shane was talking during the challenge when he wasn't supposed to ("prompting" Steven to slap him).

If Shane is really on this then I'm excited to see him. We haven't seen him since Fresh Meat 1 so It'll be interesting to see how he handles this new era of challenges.
I think if they were going to do the twist of having Champions come in later they should have tried to cast them last minute so the challengers/rookies whatever had no idea they were coming. Too many of them have talked and whatnot. But either way I think this season between the cast and the 'why haven't they left yet' mystery has got me the most excited/intrigued since about 4-5 seasons ago.
I could see this: Challengers and Rookies battle it out individually until 8 remain. The same amount as the Champs. Then champs come in and are paired with a challenger. That way at least 1 challenger wins.
I wonder if they are copying the Bad Blood format and the rookies/challengers come into the arena and the champs are standing there trying to look intimidating or the champs come running into the arena. And the challengers pretend like they had no idea this was coming just like the Bad Blood will act like they didn't know their sibling, cousin, or ex was coming.

I kinda don't like this boot camp thing. I feel like all it'll do is just give the veterans more importance than everyone else and I'm not trying to see that shit.
If the speculation is true that the champions will come in when 8 challengers remain, I lost all hope for this season. Unfair advantage to the champions who will sit out half the season and if they're trying to surprise the cast that's a waste, I heard from a cast member that they already knew which champions were competing prior to filming but I don't think they expect them to come during the second half the season because that's just unfair and the last thing we need is an advantage for Bananas again. Hopefully this speculation stays a speculation for good because I'm feeling like the cast was too good to be true.

Cue cheesy montage of his feats of strength! Oh look, it's CT! Show him backpacking. And Derrick! Wrestling montage! Here's Zach! Cut to him yelling at the camera or crying on the mountain. And Darrell! Cue some gangsta footage.
Now look over there it's Cara Maria! Show her beating Banana's. Uh-oh, they don't like each other. Ashley K! Jogging shot. Camila! Look how loud I can scream at people! Sam. Wing eating contest or potted plant smashing contest. And also some other girl that no one remembers!
Cut back to the rookies while they do their best to look impressed. And then cut to me taking a nap.
