Great Ayanna post! She definetly intense and ******* nuts as well. She was definetly a real one and a far cry from all this tepid bullshit of the challenges today.
I wish I grew up watching Road Rules and I don't remember anything about the Extreme challenge so I wish I could recall all these Ayanna moments but that BOTS2 speech still is fresh in my memory.
Great entries about Ceejai and Jillian. Jillian is in my book how a competitor should be nowadays they all need to workout a lot and do that crossfit shit to overcompensate their lack of personalities (and still flop) however Jillian was for me top tier competitor and was never overexposed and only did three seasons. Still don't know why she never had a solid alliance and a lot of the cast would target her. Glad she had at least 1 win on her belt she and Frank deserved that.
I wish i could see Ceejai on the challenge and hopefully she can be casted and have a good showcase.
Ayanna and her "voodoo"...I remember that ***** going insane. I was on Pua's side, she went off the deep end with some witchcraft! She was saying some gibberish smh
Very often it's talked about how production ***** up by not casting the right people and trying to make people stars at the expense of every other castmember but there are times when production gets it right and gets people who are intersting and can add to the challenges. Not only that but the formats and challenges they do as well. Here's some things I think production got right.
-Not leaving out Old Schoolers back in the golden era(Granted they couldn't but when RW/RR started getting in the double digits they easily could've left alot of old schoolers behind).
-Great formats like Battle of the Seasons, Inferno, Battle of the Sexes, Free Agents.
-Great Casts like Battle of the Sexes 1, Gauntlet 2, Inferno 2, Battle of the Seasons 2, Battle of the Seasons 1 and Battle of the Sexes 2, Challenge 2000.
-Casting people like almost everyone in the golden era, Nany, Cory, Tony, Marie, Jordan, Marlon, and some more newer castmembers.
-Doing fun interesting missions like Auto-body Rally(Free Agents) All the missions from The Gauntlet, Inner Tube Tango from Battle of the Seasons, Demolition Derby from Challenge 2000 etc.
There are a host of other things but I'll stop there.
But yeah..Production has gotten alot of shit right despite doing alot wrong also and I think that should be touched upon more.
Ayanna (RR Semester at Sea, Extreme Challenge, Battle of The Sexes 1 & 2)
This Ayanna post is PERFECTION! Although I wouldn't call her crazy, I would call her eccentric. She was always super passionate and wore her emotions on her sleeve which is why we see her fly off the handle so easily. I also think it's good that she only did a few challenges though because her passion/eccentricities can easily grow tedious to an audience if we see too much of it. (For example, Camilla.)
He only did one challenge, but Colin was great in Battle of the Sexes. He was pretty hilarious in his confessionals like when he commented on the lady judge telling Antoine "nice *****" and he had a spot on impression of Jonny Moseley. He even made it to the end and won despite having an injury for most of the challenge. Plus he had a sweet friendship with Ruthie and it was a little touching seeing them hug after the final was over and how proud he was of her and how he wanted her to win with him.
COLIN! I loved him on Sexes 1. I mean like you said the guy spent the whole season injured and still made it to the end and won. Not to mention he was funny and a good narrator. He's solid proof that you don't need to be some drunken idiot to be entertaining.
He appeared on The first offical Real World/Road Rules Challenge. He didn't do a whole lot on it but he was a pleaseant presence on the show. He had a hook-up with Janet which was cute as ****. Production basically confirming him banging Janet and him running away saying WE DID NOT! was halarious. I liked him and I do wish he did a couple more shows.
I just LOVED the faceoffs between seasons! Loved seeing old faces from previous season compete against the new kids/real world! Campus Crawl playing the prank on Real World Las Vegas was HILARIOUS! Darrell's plan was awesome and worked out so well! Steven Hill is such an idiot lmao. The faceoff between Campus Crawl/South Pacific and South Pacific/X-Treme were so much fun to watch. Seeing Pat from X-Treme take on Abe in a boxing match was so ******* awesome and pat kicked his ***. They had to stay awake for like 48+ hours during the faceoff between South Pacific and Campus Crawl and Darrell was always trying to sneak around with the camera to catch the South Pacific kids asleep lmao. Overall these faceoffs were so much fun.
It's about time casting did the right thing and stepped up their game instead of giving no effort and just casting the same tired regulars. We're finally getting fresh faces from the last 3 RW seasons and we're also getting the return of Latoya and Marie. To top it all off, they're bringing back classic Road Rulers and old schoolers. No more Leroy and Nany or Sarah or the same people who do nothing original anymore. Only thing I wish is that Camila, Jenna, and Johnny weren't on but that's my only complaint. Well done, MTV.
At the very least my excitement is much different for this one compared to Rivals 3 where I didn't know or care to know all the AYTO additions that were crowding last season.

Yeah..I just hated last season's cast. Only reason I watched because a bunch of my faves were on it.
This was one of the best endings of any reality show IMO. The ******* vets who spent all this time "Trimming The Fat" (AKA getting rid of people they couldn't control) ended up losing in the end because they didn't bother to trim the ACTUAL fat on the team which was Eric(Fresh Meat 1). I hate Backpack but he was right in when he told them that Eric would drag them down and he did just that. I know he, Beth, Coral, and Katie were at home laughing their ***** off when this all happened. I know I was. And they deserved it too...That entire team acted like *******s the entire season (especially CT) and they didn't get rid of Eric so they DESERVED to lose. So satisfactory.
She wasn't on the season that long, but Lindsay was one of my favorites from Battle of the Seasons. She had an adorable voice, a lovable personality, and was a great team player. Even when the Real World team decided to send her home because of Stephen, she was a good sport about it and even tried boosting the team morale after they were split on sending her home. Had she been given a different partner other than Stephen, I think she would have made it to the end. Still, it was cool seeing her host the reunion with Mark.
I think its already been said here before, but Ill just repeat it. Inferno II is def one of my favorite all time seasons. I need to watch the first battle of the seasons and the gauntlet! Really love the miz

Mine too. I did an entry in here about it. Sucks it was taken off of youtube.

Agreed about Inferno 2. That season is in my top 5.
This season was amazing IMO. You had great characters in Amaya, Piggy, Heather B, David, Los(He was cringy but he did contribute), Mike(Miami), Piggy and many more. Had great moments like Heather catching Piggy smoking on the no Smoking Challenge. The Fake mission Real World played on Road Rules, Amaya closelining the shit out of Veronica, Piggy smacking the shit out of Los and many others. This also had good missions too like te bungee jumping one and the demolition derby one as well.
Also to note: This was Veronica's very first challenge. So you get to see how the girl who would go on to become a challenge legend started out.
Overall this was a fun challenge and I think this season had one of the best casts in challenge history. I recommend any challenge fan to watch this one. Top 5 Season in my book.
Honestly this was the weakest of the golden era seasons but it still had it's good things about it(not to mention this season was miles better than the garbage of the Fresh Meat era). The cast was very interesting to me because it was a good mix of regualrs, first timers, and people who don't do a whole lot of shows. This season also had alot of fun missions(Melt with you being one of them), Ayanna's speech( I SLEPT IN MY UNIFORM LAST NIGHT BECAUSE I WANTED TO WIN TODAY!), The Men dominating and so much more. Also this was the debut of furture challenge regulars Brad, Robin, and Derrick.
I miss Ayanna.

I bow down to that Ayanna post, it was perfection, just like her.

THE GOOD CHOICES THAT PRODUCTION MAKES.

Damn. I was gonna do an entry on that.
**** It. I'll still do one. Later on though.
Go for it. There's a couple of other things I forgot to mention in my post anyway
I'll probably do mine when the whole cast is revealed and 100% confirmed. Probably a little before that.
ill wait til the season is about to premier and i see the king on the trailer.
At the very least my excitement is much different for this one compared to Rivals 3 where I didn't know or care to know all the AYTO additions that were crowding last season.

THE ENDING OF THE GAUNTLET 3.
This was one of the best endings of any reality show IMO. i downloaded it off of piratebay. I have The inferno - The Duel on my PC here. Need to find The Gauntlet.
