I mean Aneesa always did breaks and she was never a focal cast member until maybe the duel & up until that point she never did back to back seasons. At the point of the duel the regular squad of Veronica, Coral, Rachel, etc were all basically done.

I find it a suspicious he posted on his instagram shortly before departure day. His fiancé used to share his IG account and probably did most of the posting for their gym until she ended up making her own account. Since then, he has only posted rarely.
I am probably looking into it too much, but maybe his last post regarding his fiancé being strong is in regards to his sendoff while away from her and his kids maybe? They are getting married next year so maybe he wanted one last shot, especially since Derrick would be there. This is a probably a dumb assumption though, LOL.
I do remember D-Rail clearly stating on a FM aftershow and Derrick's old podcast that he would come back if it was a Duel or individual format (wonder if that still hold's true). The cast so far just screams individual players (or some type of seasons theme).
