I'm alright with this Amanda girl for making Camila her son but how dare you commit such blasphemy, comparing her to a cemented Challenge legend. Amanda could NEVER.
Oh I'm not singling her out alone for it. I'm also not saying she's a bad person. She's just annoying as **** on TV, but Camilla and Nany are worse to me. I liked Nany during Vegas. I can't stand her on my TV now, they all change. I forgot I actually liked Banannas until he started on Challenges. So it's not that I'm saying it's abnormal for her to become more cutthroat and fake for a show, it's just annoying that she bold face pretends she's being genuine. JB and CT were rivals on the show because they knew they were a threat to each other. They appeared to be friends outside of the show though. When CT won JB appeared genuinely happy for him. You can like someone outside of the show without faking an alliance and playing a scared game. Sarah plays closer to Wes than JB politically and tries to pretend shes just playing like JB would.
There was just a discussion about Sarah versus CM and I was just giving my opinion on the CM versus Sarah debate. I will admit that CM reminds me a lot of myself, so I'm more likely to excuse her behavior because I understand her better. The annoying things she does are things I'm working on. Like her being overly sensitive to others opinion is drawing more attention to it. People talk **** about everyone. If you get hung up on it, it gets worse and turns into no one liking you. Even though that isn't actually the case. It just comes across/airs that way y'know. Sarah during battle of the seasons was when I actually liked her. She had a good balance between wanting to win and maintaining some sense of self in the house. Her genuine empathy for EZ falling, etc made her likeable that season for me. Yeah I'd give more in depth examples, but honestly Brooklyn was so bad it's the reason I stopped watching the real world. I tried for a couple seasons after. It's the first one I didn't watch since I started watching back in the original Chicago one as a kid.
EDIT: I agree her passion for nerdy/intellectual qualities or activities is not an act. When I say camp counselor attitude I didn't mean it that way. I was moreso talking about how she tries to act like the house mom and come up with cheesy games to play, etc. Or how she talks about those moments like she's above everyone else.

Once she finally won she became even more all about the game to me. Abram said it best on bloodlines. If you'll stab someone in the back there, you'll do it at home. If you have no regard for anyones feelings in the challenge even early on, you probably don't back home either. I think Abram's statement applies to CM too. The difference is Cara was genuinely sorry for her actions and Sarah is becoming more heartless with every challenge. Sarah faked an apology with JB just to win tears and all. Then trash talks him consistently. That's why I don't like her.
I've never heard of any castmember admitting to their fake confessional personas so I don't think it's fair to pinpoint Sarah for that (though I will definitely agree that it's fake). When I said her camp councelor attitude before I meant how passionate she gets about nerdy things (which is evident on brain candy) and not specifically her confessionals. Apparently she literally put Simone into the most recent elim for littering. I also don't agree with Abram that stabbing someone in the back on a challenge (especially Johnny) is indicative of real life morality.It seems like I have to rewatch some of her earlier stuff to see the castmate interactions/personality change you're talking about; I've been wanting to see Ruins again but Brooklyn is such a chore.
