I don't care that only one team has went home from elimination because the drama in the house has kept me fully entertained. Like I said before it's nothing to complain about because they will eventually get to the eliminations before the season is done.Do you really expect there to be a elimination every episode when there are teams who DQ'd or voluntarily left? It is better to stretch out the first few episodes for character development of new competitors than having a elimination every episode despite the DQs and then stretching out the final episodes with the last teams left.

okay but the fact that there's only gonna be like 5 eliminations in a (what, 13?) episode season... It's sad. That's not "The Challenge"

This is The Challenge. You guys used to talk about how the older seasons focused on more besides competition and who's the strongest which is what they are now doing again. I'd rather have a better understanding on house dynamics then for them to remove that footage just to have eliminations every episode.

I'm not part of the "you guys" though? I don't watch The Challenge for the house dynamics and character development. I watch for the challenges. Save the house dynamics and character development for the real world. That's what I'd like to see, not one elimination in 6 episodes just to show house dynamics

Not realy. It's pretty clear who the strongest team is.

House Dynamics and Character develpment are apart of the challenge. Always have been and always will be.
And In case you haven't noticed alot of these people came from The Real World and this very show itself is a spinoff of that and Road Rules. So shit like that is going to be apart of the show.
Sometimes I feel like People forget that RW and Challenges are linked together.

I agree with all of this. If you are want to watch something just for competition I recommend watching sports or something like American Ninja Warrior.
I am sick of everyone complaining like production can't help when people go home. If all these people went home and we still had eliminations we would basically be at the final already. Is it annoying yes but it is not MTV/BMP fault that 3 teams left/got DQed. A team was eliminated basically every episode since we 5 teams are gone like when you want 9 gone already so you can have eliminations it wouldn't even be a 10 episdor season.
On a different note it is somewhat a good thing Wes/nany & tomy/camilia didn't go in elimination would it have been an awesome elimination yes but you we would have 1 really good top entertaining team already gone out of the house and you people would be complaining about AYTO still there like you can't win.

Exactly. I never understood why people watch this show soley for competiton....This is a reality show. Characters and Drama are gonna be apart of the deal because that's what draws people in. Hell the very premise of this show(at first) was to see various RW/RR castmembers interact with each other.

To be honest, the same argument could be turned against you guys, if you want to see character development I recommend watching films, series, the real world even.
At the end of the day, this show is called The Challenge, so when there is barely that after multiple episodes of petty drama, expect the viewers to be upset.
Nobody only wants competition, we just want a balance, we're 6 episodes in and only one elimination has even mattered. Eliminations are my favorite part of the show and it sucks not to see them.

Like I said before this is REALITY SHOW. There's gonna be character developement involved because THAT'S WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE IN! When you watch a show like this you need to actually care about the people that are on it and root for or against them..that's what character development(and the drama) comes in. Every Reality show Similar to this one does it..Survivor/Big Brother/TUF/Rednekc Island..all of them.
I swear it's like people don't get how reality shows work.

Oh so he's not extra ? Let me take a guess ow why is that...oh he's a real worder. Next.
I never said he wasn't extra so you can **** off with that crap. Next.
But that doesn't prove my point to be false lol. Which is that you're a hypocrite.
You haven't proven a god damn thing. You're another one who seems to think that we're all supposed to like every single ******* person that's extra. We can never like one person over the other or find someone entertaining over the other...Espeically if the person is from RW and the other is AYTO. If someone likes a RW person over an AYTO person then its always about them being AYTO and never JUST NOT LIKING THEM AS A CHARACTER. No. It can never be that. It's always them being AYTO. No other reason.

There is balance though. Yeah the first half of this season has been about drama but the other half will obviously be focused more on politics and competition.
You need character development on a show like this esp because it isnt a whole new cast every season. Thats what makes this show great is you do get to watch some of these characters grow personality wise and competitivley. I do wish that what they are doing this season storyline wise, they did last season with bloodlines and introduced the bloodlines better because the majority of them are forgettable now.
To be honest, the same argument could be turned against you guys, if you want to see character development I recommend watching films, series, the real world even.

The argument can't be flipped because I never said I only wanted to see drama and story development like the other user who stated they watch just for competition. I like the mixture which is what The Challenge is. Some episodes will be focused more on competition and others more on drama.

The overuse of "character development" is hilarious. The challenge is different from the other reality tv game shows, because it brings people that the audience knows and is familiar with, so there is no point in "character development" (lol) if the character has already been developped. And even then, you guys act as if we have never seen these players before, most of the cast has been doing these challenges for multiple seasons, but now all of the sudden we need "character development" ? That's just a scapegoat.

Yes, the challenge has always been a mixture of drama and challenges, but you can't deny that on this season the petty drama overshadows the competiton. That is why some people are frustrated and you can't blame them. I'm okay with what the show has become and have no problem with it, but I can also see how someone could view this season as a "flop" I guess.
The DQs, injuries, and shit are ruining this season because we are getting like no eliminations and it totally sucks :-(
It just seems like things are being dragged out and I can't even tell you how many teams are left lol
6 episodes in and only one team went home from an elimination. Are y'all still gonna defend this?
EDIT: Not including Devin & Chey in this because they came back, so their elimination is null.
Bye Simone see you never.

I'm not complaining just disappointed by all the sudden departures.
Wasn't talking about you. I am slightly disappointed as well but looking at it from production's standpoint it makes sense.
Oh my god, don't you ever get tired of being you? Who gives a ****?
I liked how Tom put in some effort to instigate Vinny and then later Bananas said two words to Tom and got under his skin.
