The Challenge: What The Cast Is Saying On Social Media

Kailah IMO is playing the victim. She really has no real reason to be mad at CeeJai. If anything Kailah hates CeeJai because she's cool with Dione who hates her and she's cool with Amanda who hates her. She is that girl who can't be friends with someone who is friends with someone she doesn't like. Which is childish because no one should tell anyone who they can and can't be friends with. So CeeJai and all of them are better off together. And the irony of it all.... she talked the most shit about Kailah and now they cool. HA.

So a ratchet, ghetto, verbally abusive, disrespectful black male who is hated by everyone and who would probably end up getting the worst edit ever! Because we all saw what happened with Jason.

I don't know how you got all of that out what people said they wanted because aside from a few people here no one views Nia as most of those things and most people pretty much want the male version of her. Greg wasn't also viewed as most of those things and people also said they want someone like him. Jason didn't even receive a bad edit and they showed how apologetic he was. If anyone looked stupid in that situation it was Nicole because they showed how she would take abuse from Bruno and be fine with it but always snapped at Jason over the smallest things.

But then Dean could be boring on RW, and interesting on The Challenge. You never know.

Exactly. While people are trying to be cute. I see no Dean or Leroy comparisons. Like what do y'all want ****** Deleon from LHHATL on the real world? Lmao

I'd prefer Lil ******y. *****.

HELL NO! That ******* needs to just..no. I do not what anyone like that Idiot on this show. Ever.

Well I mean if you're an AA male OR female who isn't PC & you speak your mind ( and then you might have some unpopular/different/radical opinions on top of that? Mannnn) you're probably going be hated regardless. **** 'em.

Jason got the sauce though....I have faith in him when he gets on the Challenges.

But anyways I would gladly take a black guy considered ghetto over people like Leroy, Swift, Jason, and Dean who have all held back their opinion because they want to sleep with someone or be best friends with everybody.

Oh Greg was viewed as a good thing? I didn't know because what I saw was embarrassing. And Nia is great for a female but a male? You can be opinionated but as a black male on tv it's hard to be opinionated and it not come off as aggressive or rude. You see what is happening with CeeJai and what happened with Nia. The same thing would go for a black male who was like that if not worst. I don't know if I want to see that on the Real World. I think you can be interesting but I think the ones they have so far are good. Better than Greg and Ty. Jason was apologetic but people still ate him alive because in their eyes he touched a girl regardless or not if it was Nicole. You just can't do that on tv.

Oh they definitely hated Nia & Greg. How dare an AA woman get on here & be confident in herself & take control whenever she sees fit? Then she had the audacity to defend herself even though it was well warranted? Pssh....

Then Greg was just that dude lmaooo Greg gave zero ***** about people's feelings & people couldn't stand that. I still want him to jack Will up 8 years later lmaooo

Exactly. Which is what I meant but the real world is just not the place for that anymore. Back then yes and many of those guys only went so far and those who did had to completely change their appearance like Ty. Tyrie never did and no one ever liked Tyrie and now non-factor lol

Idk why what I said was taken as something offensive lol

K.

Honestly though, **** what is supposed to be "safe" for TV. It needs to be another AA male to come on with some aggression & doesn't give a ****. I'm kinda tired of seeing this whole "I don't wanna be portrayed as the angry black man" foolishness. Stand firm.

Look at Azealia Banks (even though she's a girl). She does not give a **** & I respect that so much lmaooo

Well it is only happening with CeeJai in my opinion is because she's been a little fake. Nia who I love got negative reaction because she does take it a step further than she normally should in most of her arguments and altercations. I'd rather have someone one who's not scared of what the audience will think of them because the show is supposed to be about people who are opinionated which we barely get from the black guys they cast now.

And EVERYONEEEEEEE hates her and she's made it nowhere. It's been 5 years and still no album. Like not everyone wants to be like that *****

Some of us want to be Beyonce back in the day. Play it safe and make it far hahaha

I think at the end of the day MTV wants safe and likable. They leave the outspokenness for the black females because that's a bit more common on reality tv verses seeing that in a guy unless he's gay. To think about it you don't really see any Greg or Ty's on tv at all on any show. Most men on tv now kinda play it safe and not do all the drama. Idk why.

Exactly. That statement is stupid anyway because people are going to have negative opinions about you anyway. When you sign up for Real World you are going to be dragged for being too boring, too mean, or being a fame ***** so you might as well go on giving your opinions and being yourself.

Her album came out in 2014 & was regarded as one of the best of that year lmao

I mean, that's just me though. I know they'll definitely hate me if I got on here but I don't care lol.

Then again, it could be a Darrell type who isn't dramatic but will still lay down the law and get people straight when it comes to that. I'll take that too.

if this person is confrontational and opinionated in the everyday lives then they shouldn't care what the viewers think. it's the real world where your suppose to cast different strangers and personalities that clash. if you're not a girl, people are going to hate regardless. so might as well cast someone who doesn't gaf and not people who are scared of what their edit may be or run away from the show once they see their edit

Even Greg said something like that when he got into it with Will & Dave; which was reason he didn't demolish Will like he should have for bringing up his dead father. Like you basically said, people will see you how they want to see you regardless; might as well be raw & unfiltered.

I don't think it's a MTV problem I think it's a problem the casting directors have even when it comes to casting black females only a few have been outspoken on the show. I think they know if they cast some outspoken black people on the show that are entertaining they'll likely have to keep doing it and drop that one or two black on a cast format that they like to do. It's pretty much the same thing that happened with Bad Girls Club.

Yup. I mean why wouldn't they want to do that though is my question. Do they not see the ratings Love & Hip Hop & all these other shows full of ratchet outspoken people is pulling in? RW still has one thing over all of these new reality shows & it's the fact that its still REAL, even though the format of it has changed. People definitely want to see that.

I mean if you ask most black people when was the last time they watched Real World they'll say when Nia was on. The promos were created around her and she had people tuning into the show which made it on the popular black websites like WSHH at the time. Bad Girls Club didn't even get popular until Season 2 when the focus was on Tanisha and again on Season 4 when the focus was on Natalie. Can Real World be saved? I honestly think the ratings could see a dramatic increase if they catered more to their urban audience. These are the people who getting shows talked about on Twitter and Instagram.

I agree with the black guys on The Real World. They need to start casting black men who will not give a **** and will speak their mind regardless. But I kinda feel like they think that's too threatening and too real for the show so they don't do it. They rather play it safe.

If you want further proof just ask Jon Murray why the Real World hasn't been to Atlanta yet. He can try to blame it on the former mayor but she has been out office since 2010. He knows if Real World being filmed in Atlanta was announced what people would be expecting.

ALL OF THIS. Which is why they need to do a season in Atlanta with a majority (if not the entire) cast being "urban". They want ratings to shoot back up? Cater to the "urban" crowd. Kind of sad to say that but it's just that simple.

But I mean it's not like the cast would need to be ALL black. They would just have to cast more than 1/2 which is something they've done before. And they can't be the regular PC types the go for..People are going to be looking for some ratchetness and they can deliver on that as well.

Honestly, I really feel like MTV/BMP hold thier own shows back from what they could be.

Exactly & I was going to say this as well. They know if they go to Atlanta (or Houston) they're going to have to bring it & cut the bullshit. You can't have no ******* Diones in Midtown & Castleberry Hill.

I would also like to clarify when I say urban I'm also including Latinos and Whites. The days where casting people like Chris and Sabrina are long gone. No one wants to see people coming on TV sharing their journeys like those two because it's been done a million times and there are other networks like A&E and TLC that cater specifically to that. We want to see people with interesting backgrounds but we want to see a house where everyone is vocal and not holding back. Like Real World has become Sesame Street compared to the reality shows they are now competing with.

Which is what they should be doing in the first place.

I agree. I've always said I would be okay with them making it where there were atleast three black people on the show plus throw in a fiery latino or two and we have a show. I mean most people were so excited during the casting special when they showed the potential replacements yet they chose Dylan out of the three. I think they should have replaced Sabrina with Karimah and brought in Dahiana as the 8th roommate and this season would have been lit.
