I guess we'll have to accept Bunim Murray doesn't know how to cast guys for Real World.
They've been doing just fine with the guys IMO.
In my opinion the last times they did a good job casting a diverse male cast in terms of personalities was New Orleans 2 and to an extend Vegas 2. Other than that the guys tend to be "best friends" with similar personalities.
Skeletons had Tony/Bruno. But other than that I agree with Witty the male cast that BMP put together is not good.
This season male cast is boring for me so fast like I see those 3 guys getting along great, without conflict between them.

If fine means casting wallpapers...then I agreeagree. The last time they did a good job casting a diverse male cast in terms of personalities was New Orleans 2 and to an extend Vegas 2/San Diego 2. Other than that the guys tend to be be friends with similar personalities.Skeletons had Tony/Bruno.
So all the guys from Portland and Ex-plosion NEVER fought with each other? They were all just buddy buddy the entire time?
And didn't Jason differ from Bruno and Tony as well? Didn't Jason spat with Tony at one Point?
And I don't know what you mean by casting wallpaper because none of the guys in recent seasons have been wallpaper(maybe this season but its only been 3 episodes so) They all have had some sort of drama/story as far as The Real World.

The guys on Explosion only fought with Brian who was not a original roommate. Jay and Thomas was up Cory's *** the whole time.
Jason didn't even have the balls to step in when Bruno acted like he was about swing on Sylvia.
The guys on Portland didn't like Jordan for like a week and then they were back in his face.

Them fighting with Brian still counts though because he was still apart of the season regardless if he was an original or not.
That was only one instance. Jason fought with Nicole twice(hey she was one of the guys right?) And didn't Bruno almost fight Tony? Besides why did Jason need to step in?
Portland still counts even if it wasn't that long.

The original guys of explosion never fought with each other, only Brian with Cory but he was an ex not an original 7 Jay/Thomas/Cory were like best buddies.

That closest we have got is Tony/Bruno but that was mostly after the show since on the show it was just a drunk fight.

You're missing the point. Brian didn't go through the casting process Jay, Cory, and Thomas did. If the Exes never came it would have been the friendship show. There were instances when Jay and Thomas didn't even agree with Cory's actions but they kept their mouth shut because they were "friends".

But Brian was ALWAYS going to be apart of the show regardless. Was he not in cast photos? Did they not hype/anticipate him and the rest of the exes coming in from the first episode? You're right in that Cory/Jay/Thomas got along but Brian came in and CAUSED DRAMA WITH THE GUYS. So it counts and it matters. You're just being nitpicky.

You don't know that. Jamie and Ashley's Exes declined and Brian could have done the same so no he wasn't always part of the cast until the day he entered the house. If Brian never came the guys would have been doing the same thing they were doing before he got there which was trying to get random girls and going to the gym. It's not being nitpicky if I want a actual dynamic cast.

But he did say yes so he was apart of the season from day 1. You are being nitpicky because you brought up the fact that he wasn't apart of the original 7 when it was known from the start that more people were going to be added. You can't just negate his drama with the guys because he came in a little later.
Anyone else think Kailah resembles crystal reed from teen wolf? Also why is it that these past few seasons they make the cast wear the same outfit for their interviews? (definetly more noticeable this season cause of cj lol)

You don't get it. It may have been known from the start that people were being added but they never knew which Exes would actually accept. Brian's drama with the guys has nothing to do with me and PinkRose original discussion about the guys who are picked who actually apply for the show. Brian doesn't even go in that category because it was Jenny who applied not him.

So you're saying his drama with the guys doesn't matter then because he wasn't apart of the OG 7 and didn't apply. Which means you're negating his drama with the guys and to me that's bullshit. That's what I am saying and that's what Your're not getting. It doesn't matter how he got on the show. He was on the show and had drama with the guys therefore it's guy drama. Period. So you can't say that that all the guys get along every(recent) season because they didn't.

But the only reason they didnt got along was because Cory **** Jenny and because the og though they were better than the exes...It wasnt because they were different, as matter of fact Jenny even said that they were really similar lookwise and personality wise after the show was done in podcats.
I still think they need to do better casting when it comes to males, have a diversity in casting and not cast 3/4 similar guys every season that will get along 95% of the times. I will take conflict with actual build up between guys that are different like Ryan L/Preston , Dustin/Mike and even Frank/zach. Over the pointless male 1 time fights we have gotten in recent seasons.

We are discussing guys who actually applied for Real World and were cast. Brian and the drama that came with him has nothing to do with that. The point is without the Exes in the equation the male roommates did not have drama and there is no interesting dynamic there like the other recent seasons.

So? It's still drama. And they don't even cast similar guys every season. Just because they get along doesn't mean they're all the same.(although in some cases they are).
And also you gotta realize that men are much more likely to avoid drama and not want to partake in it. I mean sure, there are guys who were all about the drama and the craziness(and we've had them on this show over the years) but for the most part guys don't want to deal with that shit which is probably why there's less drama between them.
Saying guys are more likely to avoid drama is a terrible excuse. Turn your TV to other channels with reality shows like VH1, Bravo, CBS, or ABC and you'll see guys who aren't scared to have a opinion.

You're right in that the OG 3 wouldn't have had drama between them and I said that. However at some point the 3 became 4 and the 4th one caused drama and it was apart of the show and it was drama. Period. Point. Blank. You are discrediting a castmembers contribution to the show because he didn't come in with everyone else.
You're saying I'm discrediting Brian when I'm simply having a conversation about something that doesn't involve him. He wasn't one of the seven strangers picked to live in a house he was a Ex. If we're talking about Ex-plosion as a whole then yes he brought something to the show but that's not what's being discussed.
Saying guys are more likely to avoid drama is a terrible excuse. Turn your TV to other channels with reality shows like VH1, Bravo, CBS, or ABC and you'll see guys who aren't scared to have a opinion.
Yeah..that's why I said FOR THE MOST PART. And besides there guys on those networks who avoid drama too.

For weeks it was just seven strangers and as I said before when the roommates signed on for the show the producers did not have confirmation that their Exes would do the show as well. Jamie and Ashley's Exes declined and Brian could have to so you can't keep saying it like he was a for sure thing.
