Best 5 challenges. Honorable mention (The Duel, Battle of the Seasons 2, Battle of the Exes 2, The Ruins)
5. Gauntlet - Seemed like one of the more fun challenges. There was great drama every episode and the cast was greatly assembled. A lot of the people on here we never saw again so I always enjoy rewatching it and seeing some of my favorites.
4. Gauntlet 2 - I loved how epic this cast was. Such a great mix of rookies & veterans and it was good to have Susie back. I absolutely could not stand Kina! I loved her on RR but hated her on this season. I loved that Cara came back hot as ever. This season had so many good moments and at the time the cast was extremely fresh.
3. Inferno 2 - This was the first time we really got to see Beth in action on a challenge and she was gold. Prior to, she went home early everytime but on this season she wrecked havoc. The drama was entertaining and I loved the Mean Girls.
2. Battle of The Sexes - The very first challenge I ever watched and OMG I was hooked. I used to be on the MTV Message Boards & Tubescan talking about this when I was like 12 years old. The drama was so great & I loved Ellen & Veronica! I hate that Ellen never came back because she was such a great character. This cast was excellent.

Katie vs Veronica, Coral vs Julie, Veronica vs Julie, Road Rules vs. Katie, Coral vs Trishelle, Kendal vs. Mike, Leah vs. CT there were so many genuine rivalries. I loved Road Rules & they won so I was extremely happy. This cast was a great balance of old and new at the time. I just hate that Piggy left

Challenges:5- Battle of the Seasons 2 - Loved the fact that it was one of the only challenges where the rookies actually successfully managed to take out the vets and turn the game upside down.4- Fresh Meat 2 - Loved the fact that all season long it was all about Kenny vs. Wes and yet, in the end none of them won and Landon took home the win.3- Rivals I - Loved it for the fact that the rivalries actually were real, loved seeing the evolution of Cara Maria and Laurel's relationship.2- Bloodlines - Initially I was dreading this challenge but it is actually one of my favourite ones, with so many twists and loved the fact that this final is one of the closest finals of all time.1- Free Agents - This was by far my favourite theme, the fact that there was a draw that could mess up your plans, this challenge was very undpredictable.I don't usually watch the Real World a lot but here are my tp 55- DC - Loved the drama between Emily and Ty, one of the most dramatic casts. Didn't a guy fall down a balcony on this challenge?4- San Diego (2011) - The whole LGBT drama between Frank, Zach and Sam. They had their personal driver (Priscilla). Overall dramatic season.3- Ex-Plosion - Loved the fact that no one expected their Exes would be coming in, Cory and Ashley drama, Cory thought he was gonna be a dad.2- Skeletons - I like that their past came back and some people got to solve their issues. Love Sylvia and Tony, still want a reunion.1- Hollywood - This was the most dramatic season and I must have watched it twice. Joey's issues with anger and alcohol. Brianna's story with drugs. This season had the most potential in challenges: David, Will, Greg, Kimberly, Brianna, Brittini. MTV/BMP need to bring them back to The Challenge.
You have like the exact oppposite taste of myself. I did not watch Skeletons or Ex-Plosion but I thought Hollywood, DC, and San Diego 2 were some of the worst seasons of the Real World I have seen. Challenges as well are pretty much the other side of the spectrum. I thought Bloodlines has been the worst season possibly ever, did not like Seasons 2, did not like Free Agents. Rivals and FM2 were alright.
I couldnt accurately rank all the seasons because I dont remember alot of the early seasons. I do remember though I enjoyed the original Las Vegas, the orginial San Diego, Austin, and Sydney. Some honorable mentions to both New Orleans seasons, Las Vegas 2, Chicago.
I recently rewatched The Inferno 2 & The Gauntlet 2 and I didn't appreciate them as much as I should have at the time
The 30 minute format was better as well--competition, elimination and drama usually surrounding competition or legit relationships
The other thing that was great about those old school challenges was how much the cast changed from one season to the next...yeah, sure we had a ton of the Miz, Coral, Veronica & Abram but unlike now the majority of the cast wasn't recycled. Only 7 of the 20 people on the Inferno 2 were cast to the Gauntlet 2...veterans Derrick, Beth, Julie , Robin & Brad...along with Landon & Jodi. With is amazing given there were 32 slots. And, yes, some refused (Veronica, Coral & Rachel) because they didn't want to do a season with Beth/Julie but still impressive
Oh...and the Ruins had the best elimination rounds (diversity) and format ever....the casting was just poor

I never ******* understand that. People want more Rookies vs. Vets/Champions vs. Challenger old school vs new what have you but say ruins casting was poor. how so?

Frank/Alton would've made ruins a lot more watcheable as well as the real vets sticking together. Syrus/Veronica and some of the early 2000-ers shouldbve banded together.

Honestly I felt like The Ruins would've been better had it been Old School vs New School. Champions vs Challenges was such a shitty Idea in retrospect and given how the teams were I don't get why they didn't scrap that theme.

Angel was puTting up a Good fight. I think Susie Intentionally lost because she wasn't gonna beat angel as easily as she thought she would. Hell if it had gone any longer I could definitely see angel winning fair and square.
im not saying it was a good or bad decision for Brianna. She was new and wanted to prove herself. It didn't work out for her. All I'm saying is this "Susie is undefeated" argument gets brought up every single time that Ruins match is discussed and all I'm saying is review the tapes. Undefeated is a lot less intimidating when you realize she was only 1-0. Or 4-1 if you want to get technical.

Just finished Gauntlet 2 and thought it was weird that Kina didn't even consider Susie for the Gauntlet considering how livid she was, I don't think it had anything to do with fear though at all. Just that next to Jodi, Susie was arguably their best girl

VR wasn't a challenge. Susie is undefeated and was undefeated. See Kimberly's reaction to Brianna's stupid decision. It was stupid. You can prove yourself by beating anyone--you don't take a chance there for no reason. Take out Ibis then try to take out Susie later if you feel it's worth it

Susie's not the best competitor but she's probably the best female strategist. Only Coral, Evelyn and Veronica are even close.
Susie was their second best girl--better than Kina. We saw that time and time again in missions. Jillian was also probably better than Kina
Kina's overrated. Not Susie. If anything Susie's underrated.

If you're going to go just to pick up an appearance fee and throw the elimination don't waste the spot--JMOBrianna made a dumb move--there's no arguing that point. Susie's never lost an elimination. She's not Rachel, Evelyn, Emily or Laurel but production loves her and she's better than Ibis & Veronica. I would have liked to have seen Brianna come back but it was a dumb game move. Most people have made bad game moves.

Hell if it had gone any longer I could definitely see angel winning fair and square.im not saying it was a good or bad decision for Brianna. She was new and wanted to prove herself. It didn't work out for her. All I'm saying is this "Susie is undefeated" argument gets brought up every single time that Ruins match is discussed and all I'm saying is review the tapes. Undefeated is a lot less intimidating when you realize she was only 1-0. Or 4-1 if you want to get technical.

Just finished Gauntlet 2 and thought it was weird that Kina didn't even consider Susie for the Gauntlet considering how livid she was, I don't think it had anything to do with fear though at all. Just that next to Jodi, Susie was arguably their best girl
Susie's not the best competitor but she's probably the best female strategist. Only Coral, Evelyn and Veronica are even close.Susie was their second best girl--better than Kina. We saw that time and time again in missions. Jillian was also probably better than KinaKina's overrated. Not Susie. If anything Susie's underrated.
I think Kina's as rated as she should be, at least I don't think she's all that great, and I don't even really like her in general (Svetlana ownage FTW)
As for best girl, I meant of Kina's options for the gauntlet. But as far as the women on that team Jodi>Susie>Jillian>Kina/Cara>the rest. Not sure how Jodi wasn't captain from the start honestly/

Best 5 challenges. Honorable mention (The Duel, Battle of the Seasons 2, Battle of the Exes 2, The Ruins)
5. Gauntlet - Seemed like one of the more fun challenges. There was great drama every episode and the cast was greatly assembled. A lot of the people on here we never saw again so I always enjoy rewatching it and seeing some of my favorites.
4. Gauntlet 2 - I loved how epic this cast was. Such a great mix of rookies & veterans and it was good to have Susie back. I absolutely could not stand Kina! I loved her on RR but hated her on this season. I loved that Cara came back hot as ever. This season had so many good moments and at the time the cast was extremely fresh.
3. Inferno 2 - This was the first time we really got to see Beth in action on a challenge and she was gold. Prior to, she went home early everytime but on this season she wrecked havoc. The drama was entertaining and I loved the Mean Girls.
2. Battle of The Sexes - The very first challenge I ever watched and OMG I was hooked. I used to be on the MTV Message Boards & Tubescan talking about this when I was like 12 years old. The drama was so great & I loved Ellen & Veronica! I hate that Ellen never came back because she was such a great character. This cast was excellent.
1. Inferno - This challenge had the best drama. Katie vs Veronica, Coral vs Julie, Veronica vs Julie, Road Rules vs. Katie, Coral vs Trishelle, Kendal vs. Mike, Leah vs. CT there were so many genuine rivalries. I loved Road Rules & they won so I was extremely happy. This cast was a great balance of old and new at the time. I just hate that Piggy left

You have like the exact oppposite taste of myself. I did not watch Skeletons or Ex-Plosion but I thought Hollywood, DC, and San Diego 2 were some of the worst seasons of the Real World I have seen. Challenges as well are pretty much the other side of the spectrum. I thought Bloodlines has been the worst season possibly ever, did not like Seasons 2, did not like Free Agents. Rivals and FM2 were alright.
I couldnt accurately rank all the seasons because I dont remember alot of the early seasons. I do remember though I enjoyed the original Las Vegas, the orginial San Diego, Austin, and Sydney. Some honorable mentions to both New Orleans seasons, Las Vegas 2, Chicago.
I recently rewatched The Inferno 2 & The Gauntlet 2 and I didn't appreciate them as much as I should have at the time
The 30 minute format was better as well--competition, elimination and drama usually surrounding competition or legit relationships
The other thing that was great about those old school challenges was how much the cast changed from one season to the next...yeah, sure we had a ton of the Miz, Coral, Veronica & Abram but unlike now the majority of the cast wasn't recycled. Only 7 of the 20 people on the Inferno 2 were cast to the Gauntlet 2...veterans Derrick, Beth, Julie , Robin & Brad...along with Landon & Jodi. With is amazing given there were 32 slots. And, yes, some refused (Veronica, Coral & Rachel) because they didn't want to do a season with Beth/Julie but still impressive
Oh...and the Ruins had the best elimination rounds (diversity) and format ever....the casting was just poor
Could have had something along the lines of
Champions Men: Wes, Kenny, Landon, Darrell, Syrus, Abram & Frank R (just talking out Evan & Johnny makes it infinitely better)
Champions Women: Susie, Ibis, Johanna, Katie, Veronica, Ruthie & Cara or Jillian
Challengers Men: Chet (best bet of Brooklyn), Brad, Dunbar, Cohutta, Danny, CT & Derek M (just taking out Nick B helps a lot--Brad & Dunbar were locks)
Challengers Women: Sarah (best best of Brooklyn), Kimberly, KellyAnne, Brianna, Jenn, Paula & Brittini (no Casey/Shauvon is huge here)
I never ******* understand that. People want more Rookies vs. Vets/Champions vs. Challenger old school vs new what have you but say ruins casting was poor. how so?

Frank/Alton would've made ruins a lot more watcheable as well as the real vets sticking together. Syrus/Veronica and some of the early 2000-ers shouldbve banded together.

The Ruins had a fantastic cast in my opinion. It was the team distribution that heavily weighed it down.

Honestly I felt like The Ruins would've been better had it been Old School vs New School. Champions vs Challenges was such a shitty Idea in retrospect and given how the teams were I don't get why they didn't scrap that theme.

VR wasn't a challenge. Susie is undefeated and was undefeated. See Kimberly's reaction to Brianna's stupid decision. It was stupid. You can prove yourself by beating anyone--you don't take a chance there for no reason. Take out Ibis then try to take out Susie later if you feel it's worth it
