All I know about it its supposed to be a black version of a coming-of-age film.

It was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it.

I need togo ahead and pick it up then. I missed it in theaters though

If it wasn't for my friend, I wouldn't have known about the movie. They really didn't promote it, or I was just oblvivious to it.

I know I hated the promotion. I hate how the good movies have that black banner on top of the televison preview they do with the release date. I lowkey think thats why Scream 4 and FD5 bombed.

S4 had bad promotion? I didn't realize that. I knew it was awesome and didn't know why it had a bad showing, but now I know why. Maybe it was because I was excited about it ever scince I heard they were in pre-production that I kept my eye on it. lol. I think FD4 had something to do with FD5 bombing though. I personally didn't care for the story (was in it for the deaths), but other said it sucked, so maybe it lost fans?

I feel like it. I mean tyhey hyped it up at the Scream Awards oct 2010 through March 2011 but when april came around it was like number 4 at the box office.

FD5 I liked but they were going to do 6-7 according to Tony Todd. I still feel they wrote themselves into a hole with FD5's ending.

scream the tv series is filiming in new orleans so I should sneak my *** on set if it wasnt for work.

I think April was a horrible month to release Scream 4 tbh.

If only Saw was a trilogy...tsk tsk tskThe makers of the franchise were beyond money hungry to the point that they ruined what could of been an EPIC trilogy (had the movies ended at 3). Honestly whatever storytelling that has been done was ruined and turned to complete shit ESPECIALLY after Saw 7, that movie was a punch to the throat to any remaining supporter and fan of the franchise, like wtf were they thinking ughhhh !!!! And no I'm not interested in saw 8 and no one should be since it's clear that this is just another easy cash grab for them and I see right through it, I mean wasn't saw 7 supposed to be "the final act" HA I guess not anymore.

that's what they said about Final Destination 5 ("wasn't The Final Destination supposed to be the last one? jesus")... and then guess what... they made the best sequel in the whole series!!! haha If you want 3 to be the last one, then disregard the rest lol simple as that... I think 4 had one of the best twists in the whole series and 6 was an excellent addition to the series that really developed some of the more interesting key players. Everyone agrees 7 was the worst, but I think they could definitely come back and make a good sequel... its been yearrrs since the series ended (and lets not forget Paranormal Activity took over the October yearly releases... at least Saw had some smarts about it). They definitely developed the series more than they needed to, but I enjoyed getting an insight into Amanda and Hoffman being revealed as another apprentice (definitely helped seeing as they needed someone strong for some traps and jigsaw/amanda were not).

I forgot all about Hoffman. But the cop from part 3-6 was awesome but at the end of 6 hoffman killed him like wtf

First of all, since when FD5 is the best sequel of the series ? Nah that title belongs to FD2. FD5's saving grace was the fact that it was more of a comedy horror and it didn't take itself seriously as opposed to the other sequels. Also, The Final Destination is actually the last one since FD5 is a prequel and whatever took place in the movie happened before FD1.

Saw 4's twist was okay I guess, but that didn't save the movie from being a complete smelly trash bag. Everything leading to that twist was executed horribly and majorly predictable (Eric dying for example) imo. The characters felt like puppets waiting to be killed off one by one, and most of them were literally introduced to us 5 minutes before they were killed off, I mean are we really supposed to care about these people  and quite honestly, by the 4th sequel, things started to feel quite repetitive and people only continued watching the movies from then on just for the traps which is disappointing.

Saw 4 is the start of a major downfall for the franchise. It introduced us to two major characters, Jill and Hoffman, and let me tell you, I couldn't give a single **** about them due to the actors poor execution of portraying them which only got worse as time went by (I mean did you see Jill's acting in Saw 7....WOW she really knew how to deliver them lines).

The Saw movies (4-7) also lacked the OMG moments the first three had (Gordon cutting off his leg, Amanda being thrown in the needles pit, The rack trap in saw 3, the ending of saw 3).

FD2 is NOT the best of the franchise... i still roll my eyes every time that fence goes through that guy. It had some lame *** deaths. I will agree that it was the best opening disaster though.. that highway log truck has scarred me FOR LIFE. The only deaths I liked in that one were the doctors office and elevator (i already had a fear of elevators to begin with haha so that didn't help)... mayyyybe the fire escape too. I still consider it a sequel even thought the twist was that it was a prequel.. it still followed the formula of a typical sequel, but it's deaths were a lot more creative than the past movies. The gymnastics scene and acupuncture always make me cringe... and the lazer eye surgery has scarred my friend for life haha (even thought thats not even how they do it anymore haha). I even liked the restaurant kitchen scene!! okay maybe i'd put the two on par with one another. But still, you can't deny is was good for coming after the shitfest that was "The Final Destination".

Jill and Hoffman were both introduced in Saw 3 btw... but yeah Jill was a terrible actress. I did like the stories that were given to both her and Hoffman though.. Saw 6 really develops both of them and ties them to the rest of the series very well.

Also I beg to differ that there were no OMG moments after Saw 3... Saw 4 - Discovering all events were happening congruently with Saw 3/The tricked up see-saw revealing that Hoffman was an apprentice after all... Saw 5 - Discovering that all 5 trapped ppl could have survived till the end/The final two sawing their arms down the middle to fill the beaker with their blood was the most cringeworthy scene of all (maybe on par with the rack trap)/Strahm thinking the gl*** box was a trick and throwing Hoffman into it, only then realizing that Jigsaw was telling the truth... Saw 6 - Kramer dying after all beating his traps showing how easy it is for other seemingly normal ppl having no problem killing the sick or innocent (really ties together the whole medical insurance issues the movie dealt with)/Jill putting Hoffman into the bear trap at the end and he still manages to survive after breaking his hand and lodging the mask between bars.

I don't really remember Saw 7.. only saw it once and I have refused to watch it again haha

I'm not denying that FD5 is a good movie, I liked it, but it is no way as good as the first 2 FD movies.

Yeah but Jill was only introduced via flashbacks, and Hoffman was portrayed as cop #81 during Saw 3.

None of those struck me as OMG moments though, the only one that I would consider it so wasn't even mentioned by you which is John Kramer's autopsy scene. But to each their own I guess.

I love Scream and I love Final Destination *****

Saw though...had me sleep lol. Will try to watch it again soon.

ooh forgot about the autopsy with the tape inside of him! haha that was also good... but my point is is that Saw 8 could still be a good movie, especially when FD5 managed to bring back the franchise to its roots. All i'm saying, don't knock it until you see it.

sorry but its:

Don't be a hater Mitch lol. The Purge movies aren't that bad.

another movie from TIFF that I really wanted to see!! I wish it kept it's original title though (just "Hardcore")... Hardcore Henry sounds more lame lol... looks like so much fun!!

Purge 2 was my shiiit. I hope the third meets expectations

Maybe I need to go back and rewatch the Saw series because I remember them being tragic af after the third one.

As for The Purge....the first was crap but I actually liked the second, I think they learned from their mistakes.

Nostalgic.....you did NOT put FD1 at the bottom of the list smh.

Just watched  the new Purge trailer.. ...

I usually hate when people say "omg they showed the whole movie!!!"

But god damn....like they literally took us from beginning to end lmao. Smh.

I still have hopes plus I love Elizabeth Mitchell.
