ahh i really gotta watch that!! I wanted to see it at TIFF... met Tom on the red carpet though so that was pretty cool Blum 3

Joy was just meh.... pretty boring movie tbh. Great cast and solid acting from everyone, but the story was just such a snoozefest

Star Wars 11/10

Hateful Eight 8/10

I recommend checking both of them out but only check out Hateful Eight if you don't have a problem with Taratino movies.

Omfg!! I need to watch Hateful 8 ASAP!!

I'm a big Taratino fan!! Biggrin

So excited for all the superhero movies coming out! I can't wait for X-Men, Batman vs. Superman and Captain America. X-Men is one of my favorite superhero movies but I think Days of Future Past would have been a perfect ending to the whole series.

The new Captain America trailer is amazing. I'm also excited to see Suicide Squad and Deadpool.

its sooooo good!!! It's got a bit of that Django vibe to it, but its a lot slower paced since 85% of it takes place within the same location lol... but still 3hrs passed like nothing!!! Tarantino is just a brilliant director... loved all the twists the movie had!! It was downright hilarious as well... and of course his essential bloodbath scenes were perfection haha

LOL at Channing thinking he should've been in H8teful 8

I want him to direct Battle Royale USA

Yassss that movie NEEDS to happen! Loved the book and the original movie!

Ok so now that I have watched Star Wars twice I have a better idea if I liked it or not. In general, I thought the movie was good. I'm satisfied. But I'm honestly not blown away.

I loved the acting, the actors did great. They did an awesome job with the characters to a point that I felt I liked most of them. It had what a lot of us fans were asking for: action, lightsaber battles, familiar faces, new faces, etc. I also appreciate the humour that it had. But I think what helped this movie the most was the Nostalgia factor, rather than the movie being great as itself. For example, when Han solo was first seeing on the screen, Chewie, etc, the feeling on seeing them was amazing. All of us fans got crazy lol.

BUT the movie was too "safe" and familiar, imo. I felt the pace was a little slow. It had a lot of similar plots and directions that we have already seen before so it almost felt like a remake of the originals rather than a sequel, and it barely took any risk or went the extra mile. There's a couple of scenes that you will be like "Ohh I have seen that before". Also, I think there was so much built up (which happened slowly as well) for an underwhelming "final battle". I even think Episode 1 (With all it's childish script and horrible acting) had a more exciting "final battle" and it was actually fun (I don't mean the whole movie, just specifically the final confrontation with Darth Maul, Anakin and the others). All in a all it left a lot to be desired, imo.

I still enjoyed it, I liked it, I'm happy about it, is better than most of the prequels, but I still expected more. But I understand where JJ was coming from though. Us SW fans are not easy to please so he probably wanted to play it safe with his choices which unfortunately means being too familiar with the originals that it felt repetitive. Don't blame him. It was smart and it clearly worked for most fans. I just hope that for episode VIII, it feels more innovative and we can actually be blown away.

but why? but no.. leave the original alone! besides we don't need it after nearly 5 years of hunger games movies... yes yes i know they are "completely" different, but we dont need it.

Tarantino just needs to continue making original material (or "inspired" as many would like to say)

I kinda agree bc it had perfect ending with deleting all that bs but at the same time being huge X MEN fan, I am still too upset how they managed to ruin Jean and Cyclops for me so I want to see them again. They casted Xavier so perfectly, Patrick does amazing job with it but then you have that mess with Cyclops.....Also there are so many awesome characters who I want to see in tv.

But I agree, next year gonna be awesome movies year, Deadpool and Sucide Squad too

decided to check out Steve Jobs tonight and was pleasantly surprised!! i wasn't a big fan of "Jobs" with Ashton Kutcher, but Michael Fassbender knocked the role out of the park!!! I also really liked the way the story was told.. it was unique and almost set up like a play with 3 separate acts. Very well written movie!!! Hoping that gets an Oscar nom. I knew jobs was a bit of a ******, but this movie takes him to a whole new level... but it still didn't stop him from being a visionary and doing anything and everything in his power to succeed (and succeed he did). The jobs I knew growing up and watching the keynote presentations will always be a separate character for me than the steve behind the scenes... on stage he inspired me. He believed so much in his products and the future of the company.. he truly was a visionary. Love him or hate him, you can't deny his fighting heart. Great movie!!! I didn't think we needed another apple movie, but Danny Boyle (a truly amazing director) has proven me wrong.

True mitchy but BR and BR2 will always be better than that Hunger Games travesty

The first SJ movie was great but Ashtons fell flat.

CNN is doing a movie too

So excited to see Colossus in Deadpool. He now looks like he is in comics and I am here for it. No offence to other X men version but this one is awesome, actor I believe is Russian too what makes things even more real.

My body is so ready for Deadpool.

Colossus was my favorite xmen in the series on wb with Dazzler back in1991. I was so mad when Saban the guy who does Power Rangers omittted him in Fox's Xmen series.

How many people here remember generation x? it was either a pilot series or a tv movie on Fox or WB back in the late 90s or early 2000s. I need to go see if I can even orderr that but  I hope its not rare.. I think Jubilee was in it too.

Concussion went hard. Although I lowkey wanted to slapped the ***** in the waiting area when they called for my showing and she was like to her friend "glad thats not our movie".

yES BABY YESS. more people need to get into this flick. White folk awards I mean the Golden Globes stay sleeping on Ryan Coogler. He also did Creed. For a 29 year old that's an amazing director.

Remember the part where they fought at the jail then on the train? And then he almost beat up his old manager at the grocery store? Funny as **** though I like to call bullshit on LA people knowing what gumbo is.

Anyone see the new Point Break movie yet? I will probably be seeing it sometime this week.

Save your money and watch the Keanu one. NGL, though this new one was semientertaining but doesn't hold a candle to 1989

How Sisters (though a interesting premise) did better than Concussion is beyond me.

Ew so my friends and I went to the movies to watch Daddy's Home or whatever and it was sold out so then we went to Concussion.... TRAGICCCCCCCCCC

Swear to god my neck still hurts from the nap I took at that *****!

I have already seen the original Point Break many of times. That's why I need to see how this one is.
