Yeah I saw that. They need normal everyday people they used to cast so good idk what happened. They also need to not have it on Friday nights I know I can hardly watch

this... they really need to change the friday spot. I always forget its on, then i fall behind and don't care to catch up... did that with the current season lol
Sounds terrible. This season is making me lose interest in the show anyone. I can't really see myself watching a season after this. If Josh/Tanner get eliminated I may even stop watching.
Also surprised that the cast was revealed so early.
I guess they want the preteen demographic, nobody over like 16 cares about vine or YouTube famous
I actually had no idea there were "vine famous" people. Clearly I'm out of touch.
Exactly. I'm 22 and definitely have no interest in it. They should do a "Reality Television" theme where they take pairs from different reality shows, or just something more appealing to a wider demographic.

I'm 18 and it's still not popular, it's more of a preteen thing, maybe they want all the fans of these people to watch every week. But as soon as they llose those fans will too.
For the 4th time? I might need a puke bucket. I already cringed when they were brought back for season 24 (along with Margie & Luke).
I'm actually not that bummed about the cast of s28. While they all may be "semi-celebrity" teams, there are however different dynamics represented. While season 26 had all dating couples, this one has multiple archetypes. Plus I occasionally watch vines so it'd be interesting to see some of them race.

I disagree. I see all the other seasons as having broad appeal and offering a variety of teams from different backgrounds with different personalities. Even the dating season had that.
Youtube and vine "celebrities" are all the same in my book. Self aggrandizing, self promoting narcissists.

I agree people who are youtube or vine famous are just obnoxious to me. Like Joey ad Meghan who were both youtube famous and extremely annoying.
I don't agree with putting them all in the same bunch. And out of the past contestants that were youtube famous I can only recall Joey being annoying. Meghan was nice, Kevin with the father (s17) was an interesting team. I'm pretty sure Kym from Kym & Alli was making fitness related youtube videos.
Ppl group together vloggers like that all the time. They are just super outgoing ppl because it's there job to be outgoing... always doing new things to gain viewers. Sorry if that's not your style, but it can make for good viewing... yes there are some terribly annoying ones, but there are also a ton of likeable ones. I'll definitely be checking out the season!
Seriously? You guys have a problem with the theme? I don't see.
They are doing this to bring on new viewers because these people are famous and have thousands maybe millions of followers. Some of them probably don't even watch TAR but if they know they are on there they will watch which could bring the show out of its 5-6 million viewers each week to like 7-8. They are even live streaming the beginning of the race tonight and having the contestants tweet about being on the show. I like it. This seasons cast sucks so hoping this one will be interesting.

They are basically trashing it up, so I take issue. I don't watch youtube "celebrities" on youtube. I sure as hell am not going to watch an entire series devoted to them. The two youtubers last time were bad enough.
I've watched since day one and it's sad to see this once Emmy award winning show sink to this new low.

RIP TAR 2001-2015
Well damn.
Can I still make a thread about it when it begins though? Lmao

Kevin i enjoyed, kym i loved but fitness videos aren't the same as stupid YouTube videos of people walking around with a camera and acting obnoxious. I DESPISE Tyler Oakley, and I hate thefact him and other annoying people like him are on the face. These people are probably not even fans of the race that is what bugs me, at least with blind dates they could have had people who applied, this time most of th cast is probably recuits.
Watched the Finale I didn't thik it was the great compared to previous years. LIke the pit stop was basically at the final task. And they both didn't need to do an individual task only one person did which it wasn't hard. I didn't think any of the tasks were difficult.

Agreed. Very boring and lackluster finale. The season as a whole was pretty boring. I think I completely lost my interest for the show, especially with next season being vine/youtube stars.

Yeah like it used to be more exciting. The detours and stuff were more exciting and intense. LIke When they had to rockclimb over the ocean on that one episode or when the cowboys had to swim to their boat super far away because they forgot something. A 5 yearold could have done these missions on the amazing race. Even the surf board one from last year was kinda hard.
Can someone PM me who won? I stopped watching when Josh and Tanner got eliminated (at least I think they did, right after the episode where they came last during the NEL?)

I actually thought the final was really good task wise compared to the rest of the season. I can't recall when they had so many tasks in a final leg.
They had the flashy task, which contained a memory task.
The physical task, which also contained a memory task.
The skill-based task, also with a memory task.
So they basically had 6 tasks. 5 of which allowed the order to be mixed up. I'd say that's pretty good.
Not like season 24 where it was like: Flashy task, screw on the lightbulbs, parachute to the pitstop
Just found out next season is going to be all YouTube and vine stars...... looks like I'm skipping it. Those are my least favorite people.
seriously? as a theme? or there just happens to be a lot of them?
Sounds like a good way to kill off the series if you ask me. Are ratings that bad right now?

A theme, every pair has at least one person whose vine or YouTube famous. A lot have both members that are.

Bring back the Cowboys and globteotters

Youtube stars and NO Jenna Marbles! FTW!
Just looked up the cast for next season and I'm rooting for Zach King since I actually like his magic vines. Lol
