Evil Dead and the reboot were the only ones that tried to be scary... the second (Dead by Dawn) and third (Army of Darkness) go completely camp and OTT... basically it turned into a super gory comedy (which is how it gained its cult following). You should check out the second! its sort of its own reboot to the series after the first one bombed hard and made no money lmao (only until later when the series became popular).
And yeah i'm so excited for Ash vs The Evil Dead!!! It premieres tomorrow and it's already been renewed for a season 2!!! (guess they were confident with what they saw which is AWESOME)

Both movies deliver the most important thing for me in a movie; a good freaking plot and a story. it's a shame people only expect to get startled while watching these movies, and not even pay attention or even understand the story and meaning behind the events.
If so is it gooD? I read there's a sequel and a upcoming prequel too but am interested because i heard about it having "slasher characters the audience cares about"
