The Amazing Race 27: Episode Discussion

The Amazing Race 27 Starting Line

I'm happy the TMZ girls got eliminated first. They seemed like they were*******. Hopefully this cast will be as good as the one season with the dentists and Bethany Hamilton.

Didn't even watch it yet but happy tmz is eliminated

How anyone can spend 3,5 hours on a sliders puzzle is beyond me. But I guess it's one of those things where if you know the concept it's easy af but if you don't you're screwed.

I wonder if the doctor ever learned that Brazilians speak Portuguese, not Spanish.

I'm rooting for Tanner and Josh, Jazmine and Danielle, and surprisingly Logan and Chris (team paparazzi)

I'm hoping this season is good!

I love Phil's sass "you finished and before it got dark too.

I don't really like anyone that much yet. Glad the judgmental tmz girls lost, the icing on the cake is how they said how the cheerleaders weren't smart then they finished before them

I like the paparazzi and reports. But I think it is real pathetic tmz couldn't even finish the first leg of the challenge

The green guy annoys the crap out of me

Track Stars are definitely my favorite team. Team Texas can stop doing well and go home any day now..

The Texas guys aren't that bad imo. The green guy is so much more obnoxious.

agree.

i like diana but i dont like justin

I actually like team texas. Tanner and Josh aren't bad at all.

I just thought it was ******** how they placed 2nd and then had a sob story of "oh man, we're really bummed we didn't come in first this leg". It's like dude you've got 1st and 2nd AND you have the express pass, quit your whining. Congrats on outrunning a 51-year-old woman.

I took it as they were bummed that they went all out for no reason. One of them got hurt thinking that they had a chance to get first. If they knew it was only for second/third they wouldn't have sprinted. However, the whole point is to do the best each leg. I'd be a little bummed if I didn't get first and I'd take every  opprotunity to out run all of the other competitors no matter what their age is.

I agree but the edit made it seem like they were eliminated or something with all the sad music.

Justin shut the hell up!

I can't wait until they leave south America I'm so sick of hearing Justin call everyone mi amigo

Tanner and Josh are getting the winners edit I think, with the injury early on etc.

the cheerleaders (maybe??) are annoying me cause every episode they're like "omg people underestimate us they think we're just cute girls but were athletes"

I'd be ok with that. They are one of the few likeable teams IMO. Along with Kelsey and Joey and Maybe Logan/Chris and Jazmine and Danielle. But Texas and the reporters are really the only ones I care for right now.

oh yeah, me too. I wasn't ragging at all. The Logan/Chris, Tanner/Josh, and Jazmine/Danielle are the only teams I'm rooting for, so if they do actually win id be happy.

I stopped believing in the winners edit when the Candy Girls won two seasons ago. I was rooting for the, all season long and kept waiting for them to get eliminated. Granted, Amy had her leg issues going on and they were seen as the underdogs, but I never felt like they were getting an edit as winners. I knew they were going to win the second I saw the puzzle during the finale, I was the happiest person alive when they won. Totally deserved.

Still rooting for the track Stars this season, hoping they can start using their athleticism and stamina to good use. I agree with whoever mentioned the repetitive cheerleader pep talks, and the mother/son duo is starting to bother me.

what stamina ? They did sprints and jumps those don't take much stanima

Tanner & Josh were not very smart about the U-turn situation and I hope they get eliminated.

The paparazzi are getting kind of annoying. They just start arguing over little moments. lol Tanner and Josh are dumb. It's was way to early to use the express pass. Now that they don't have it and one of the guys has a little injury, their future in the race is not looking bright.

To be fair, they had to use it before the 5th leg anyway. However the fact that they used it on the roadblock was stupid

Tanner and Josh had to use the express pass at either this leg or the next. It was stupid of them to use it on the roadblock instead of the detour. However, the croquet didn't look like it took that long anyway and the paparazzi team were right behind them (they actually came in first). They wouldn't have went home anyway. Additionally, this leg of the race is continuing anyway so it wouldn't have mattered if they were U-turned or not.

I'm so incredibly underwhelmed by this season's leg designs. The tasks are like they're made for toddlers, no skill whatsoever required. They all take a fixed amount of time (for any team) so there's barely room for shuffling the order.

And of course, neither the Green team and Texas don't get first and they're both like "oh boohoo, we didn't get first and we're really disappointed with ourselves". I like the cheerleaders' "yay! we're not last!" attitude way more.

Upset at the outcome of last nights episode. Although I'm glad 2/3 of my teams are still in it, especially team paparazzi #daddy lmao

I was thinking the same thing. Usually people struggle at certain tasks and other teams come and knock it out quickly. This season seems so much easier. Plus every mission they have to wait in online or in order before they can go. Feeding the crocodiles, walking through with the lions, collecting card board, painting giraffes, dust of a buggy, bungee jumping, etc.  The tasks are just a little underwhelming to me.

Kind of upset the track stars went home. I'm starting to like the green team a little more and Logan and Chris a lot less.
