i loved the rivals 1 two day final because they were all so shocked and mad when they realized, haha. now they expect it so the shock has worn off and tbh i think they prepare for it. rivals 1 was great because you had wes and kenny use all their energy because they thought it would be over and then they suffered for it the next day. it would be a more effective tool if they would do it sometimes and not do it sometimes.

Not a fan of the two day finals, or really any of the finals nowadays. Way too grueling. My favorite ones were The Duel and Inferno 2, where you didn't have to vomit all over yourselves and eat nasty shit to win money.

I don't like the finals nowadays either. They just seem over the top for no real reason IMO. And I defenetly don't like the 2 day thing especially when they make the first day pointless by giving the first team a damn two minute head start on the second day.

I like the intense finals cause not everyone can win them.

mixed feeling about it. To win that intense final you have to be cross fit/gym junky tbh.

I'm perfectly fine with that tbh. I'd never want to see a final where a weak player could win

Here's my input. a hardcore Final that requires you to be physically fit is alright for me. for example Free Agents was the perfect example for a hard final.

the thing i like about the Free Agents Final the most was that they combined everyone's time in the end, so even though Johnny Reilly was the first one to get up the moutain Bananas still won. that's what they should have done in Rivals 1. combine everyone's time in the end. i never even watched the Rivals 1 Final, but for Kenny and Wes to get little accomplishment for beating Bananas/Tyler by 45 minutes (right?) is very annoying.

The main reason why i agree with there being hardcore finals is because yes i don't want a weak player winning the whole challenge. If Devyn had won Free Agents i would probably stop watching the challenge in general. that would be the end of me.

The point of a final, in my opinion, is to top off the season and kind of be a new competition, not a continuation of the season. If a team/player dominates the season (I.E. Emily and Paula), I feel like things should be balanced out in the final instead of giving everyone more tasks where Emily and Paula would continue to dominate.

If you made it to the final, you obviously deserve it. Either you won challenges, won eliminations, played a good social game, or were brought there because you're considered weak (sucks but it happens, oh well.). Do I think the person who dominates the season should win, usually? Sure. But I think everyone in the final deserves a chance to win. If Lebron James and Cara Maria were put in a final and a portion of it involved dunking basketballs, that's a little ridiculous, and I know it's an exaggeration but in context, that's what the finals have become.

I would kill to see another crossword puzzle in a final like from the Inferno. Nobody needs to be drinking blood, standing on rocks in the freezing cold, or putting their body through potentially serious injuries. Let it be physical with fun and puzzle aspects to it. These days it's just physically brutal with eating and torture incorporated.. Honestly it's not even entertaining to watch anymore. I'd much rather see two people hustling to remember answers to a crossword puzzle and get the pieces in place than trying to eat something disgusting.

Devyn may have been the worst physically, but she was probably the strongest mentally. That's why I like Big a Brother because you need to be physically and mentally strong at times, the Challenge only requires you to be physically beastly and you'll basically win the final.

I like Devyn but why does everyone think she will be good at puzzles? She literally never done one on the show

how was Devyn stronger mentally than Laurel? I'm not disagreeing with you or anyhting, i just want to know your reasoning. she is for sure stronger mentally than Nany, but Laurel was pretty much prepared for anything. even when Zach almost quit she did her best to keep Zach going.

If i remember correctly Camila was actaully beating her in a puzzle, but than Big Easy decided to quit.

Oh yeah my bad , the only puzzle she did she was behind the whole time. Tho you could also blame JD tbh

Honestly I like finals where anyone can take the win. It's more fun and interesting to watch when you don't know who's going to win it and I think the finals should start reflecting that more because everyone that made it to the final should have a shot at winning it. Not just some.

The only reason finals suck now is because of these damn pairs challenges imo. Rivals 2 is the only final I liked from out of all these pairs challenges the rest were over the top.

I don't think 2-day finals are necessarily a bad idea but they should involve tasks that actually have something to do with the challenge itself.  This has never happened before but I agreed with  Jenn when she said, during the Rivals 1 final, "This isn't even a challenge, it's manual labor" while doing that ridiculous loading-dirt-into-a-wheelbarrow thing.  Hey, why not have them do 13 loads of laundry for the crew while they're at it?

I agree with the other poster(s) who suggested that a cumulative time would work but that might just be because I was rooting for Wes on Rivals 1 and he/Kenny got screwed on Day 2.

I personally preferred the finals of old where the teams did a mixture of several physical things (running, biking, swimming, climbing) as well as puzzles (crossword, slider) and trivia based on the challenge and other players (like the Gauntlet 2 one where they had to use information about the players to figure out the combination of the chest at the end).  Finals like that give everyone a pretty equal chance to win since they don't rely on brute strength alone.

I dont like the timed stuff on finals ... like Free Agents i think its anti-climatic, i like to see who is reaching out first and TJ sounding the horn and annoucing the winner, not waiting 5-10minutes after everyone finished to find out who the winner is through time calculation, i was rooting for Wes/Kenny the most legit rival-pair of that final to win but yeah that 45min reduction stuff was really ****** up.

I could deal with 2 days finals if they would just alternate finals, like challenge 29: 1 day final, challenge 30: 2 days finals, vice versa but its just not fun to watch people struggling to hold on for dear life, i mean they look they are about to drop during those nights when they have stay awake in rocks and puking all over, before this finals i wanted to do one of this shows but right now i would almost die in one of this finals.

Cutthroat had the best mix of this new era IMO, you had puzzles, you had weight lifting and you had running/marathon thats just good.G2 tho that final sucked. The best ones IMO are Duel,Duel 2 and the Infernos 2 and 3 those were some good balanced finals.

Your post doesn't really make any sense imo. How can you say Wes and Kenny were screwed over when you don't agree with the Timed Finals?? if the timed Finals was in Rivals 1 im for sure Kenny and Wes would have won.

Out of the 'Hardcore' Two-Day Finals, I would say the ones that were the best would be Rivals 2 and Free Agents.

For the main reason the competitors were able to relax after Day 1 and didn't have to stand on anything or sleep in tents.

(In Free Agents did they sleep in tents or a house? i can't remember).

Standing on a rock and that crap is truly despicable.

I said that i dont like timed finals but i agreed that Kenny and Wes were screwed! So its a double-edged sword for me...
