I actually thought Ryan was hilarious. He cracked me up in some of his confessionals and he's not that weak of a competitor as some people make him out to be.

I liked Ryan. He had a idgaf attitude that I really liked haha. There were a few moments I wanted to slap him though.

Ryan was useless and served no purpose on these shows. I don't even get why they kept casting him after Fresh Meat 1.

He was Paula's roommate/friend with benefits and as such, he was automatically part of the JEK alliance.  And since it was of the utmost importance to production that JEK make it to/win every possible final, the more sacrificial lambs for them to lead to the slaughter, the better it would be for JEK and the ratings (according to BMP).  Hence, Ryan on umpteen challenges.

I cringe everytime i see the cast or an episode of the island, the first time i watched i thought the concept was really cool but a lot of people were pretty dumb and sheep on that challenge, did the other boat really thought that they could beat the red boat with Johnny,Kenny,Derrick and Ev? lol...if only Abe and Rachel stayed they could have changed the game big time...

But still i think that Abe staying would only mean that the red boat would be Abe,Derrick,Kenny and Paula (since that Ev thing wouldn´t have happened).

I wish Frank had whooped Dustin on Battle of the Seasons. do you think that would have happened?

Nah. I think Dustin whoops him. I feel like Frank can't fight.

Maybe thats because the vibe that Frank emits but i also agree with DA that it feels like he can´t fight but he can also be that type of person who is scary good at fight but not having the looks xD

Lmao was Paula really ******* him? She used to be so trashy & desperate so it wouldn't surprise me.

Basically you're correct though because while they tried to claim that Shane was just sooooo boring, they went & got his even more boring old **** buddy to replace him. Any other explanation for it doesn't make sense.

Yep. He was just another sheep. And boring and useless one at that.

i also feel like Frank can't fight. I remember when that fight was happening Frank was like "Zach, let's go!" Lmao!! He so needed Zach during that fight. It would've been Zach vs Dustin with Frank's ***** *** jumping in tbh.

Yeah he needed Zach to be his bodyguard lol

Ryan said on The Island reunion that while he's full-on gay, he's not afraid to "take a dip in the lady pool" (or words to that effect), with the implication being that the benefits I mentioned were just of the oral variety.  I think it might have been from a daily for The Island that he made mention of this as well and he said that he liked "the power" of it.  And you're right about Paula and with her and Ryan being roommates, there's not a doubt in my mind that there were some benefits being exchanged!

I forgot who it was but I remember there was an interview where a castmember was making fun of Frank because he was acting all tough. They said something like "you know he's never been in a fight when he starts punchung plants and chairs"

Wait people think Dustin can actually fight? Lol I wish we'd have seen those two get into it for what a hilarious fight it'd be since I don't think either of them can actually fight.

I think both Dustin and Knight would whoop Frank

That's ridiculous, Shane was never boring unless nice equals boring for BMP. He was likeable, cute and attractive. Ryan is just revolting. I remember an old aftershow where Shane talked about Ryan. He called him a superfan and I recall he said Ryan hooked up with him in order to get on the show. That itself is disgusting.

You already know that's often the case with them.

It was somewhat talked about a lot during the Speakreality days, but it was said that Shane actually asked the producers why don't they put him on more Challenges & they had the gall to tell him "so we can film you reading a book?". Yet they had no problem with Ryan, who was more boring than Shane ever was. Ryan was good at creating the illusion that he actually did shit by hanging around certain people + his confessionals (which he got way too many of). The producers during the JEK era & now are clearly on drugs, but during the JEK era they were on some hard shit that made them completely dumb & delusional.

Shane was supposedly an alternate for the RR team on Seasons 2 though.

I think Frank would have gotten handled. He's a keyboard warrior.

It looks like u, me, MCM, and I bet five bucks Challenge17 all agree. Neither of those two can fight. I bet Frank would have won though cuz he's more athletic and managed to push Dustin on the ground.

I loved Ryan. But Shane in my mind is totallyyyyy the new Ryan!

He would toss up Dustins loose ***.

As been said Dustin and Frank both probably can't fight. That would've made it hilarious if they actually did fight.

As soon as he said "Come on Zach" I realized he was all bark. Do you really need Zach to go down and argue with Dustin and Nany? Dustin would have whopped him.
