Being A HUGE horror fan myself, I usually don't like watching sucky horror movies because they end up disrespecting the genre.
I seen it online yesterday while it started out in spanish then english it made it seem like it was good but like others have said the found footage genre is shit. And I didn't like that Kathie Lee's daughter was in it. Hate the *****.
In my opinion it is always going to suck watching it online on a computer for the first time. Instead of watching it in theaters with a big crowd. I will be forming my own opinion when I see it tomorrow night.

I too wrote a script when I was younger about a bunch of friends being trapped in a cabin (so cliche right...I know) for 4 days. I think I called it "95 hours", It was full of stereotypical characters and cliches lol (I was 15-16 for crying out loud) but I REALLY think its better than some of the garbage that is being thrown around in cinema, I mean did anyone watch OUIJA ? YEAH that was trash !

I thought the Gallows was decent, especially after all the mixed reviews I heard about. Is it the best horror movie, hell no! But overall it had a good story with a twist & kept me entertained the whole time. Definitely not as bad as some people tried to make it out to be. Another plus is the hot blonde Cassidy Gifford lol. I could see a possible sequel in it's future. If you're a horror fan you should see it for sure, so you can form your own opinion.
Also I am pretty sure the Green Inferno got picked up by Blumhouse productions. That's probably the only reason there finally releasing this movie in September.

BUT it's no REC or Blaire Witch, it does have a bunch of problems but nothing to the point of taking you out of the movie.
I LOVED the diffrent use of found footage in this film, they used a style that was never been done before and was very refreshing.
ILOVED the atmosphere the movie bulit, you can feel the creepy vibe in the air from the get go.
I LOVED that it was a documentary, it reminded me of "Lake Mungo" which is another awesome horror flick (if you haven't seen it, definitely go and watch it !). It also helped the movie feel more realistic.
I LOVED the "cause of problems" in this movie ( I don't want to spoil what it is) It was very unique and different.
There are NO false jumpscares in this movie so thats a plus, and the scares were.....scary which is a bigger plus.

Someone must be trolling you lol. It wasn't that serious. But the movie is definitely ripe with horror clichés.
They did get some things right though. All in all, nothing to write home about.

My biggest issue with this film was the acting...god the acting was awful
, but the movie still was enjoyable regardless IMO.
Another big issue for me was the questionable actions made by some characters.

if you are a big horror movie fan, definitely go and watch it !
Although, this type of movie may not be everyone's cup of tea, if you like Lake Mungo, you WILL probably like this aswell.
Still haven't seen this movie yet. But have always heard good things about it.
Which one ? The Bay or Lake Mungo ?
I recommend Lake Mungo before The Bay, but they're both cool !
