Actually he was supposed to go into the final elimination until Jordan wouldn't agree to the deal with the other vets. Jay was just being used as a pawn in Wes's game. So really Sarah & Jordan got Jay into the final by throwing Bananas & Nany into that last elimination.
Do you really think if Bananas/Nany won the final mission, they would have sent in Jay/Jenna? Not at all. He sent in CT in the final elimination before they went to the Andes. He wanted to get rid of his best competition in order to win. Jay/Jenna were 100% going to the finals by everyone since they were a layup. The only team that would have sent in Jay/Jenna would have probably been Leroy/Nia.
I actually don't think he would have sent in his good friend Leroy. CT is one of his biggest rivals on the show, so of course he sent him in.
