The Challenge: Unpopular Opinions

My favorite intro of all time is The Inferno 2. It was so classic. All of the intros from the golden era (Battle of the Sexes 1 and 2, Gauntlet 1 and 2, Inferno 1) were amazing IMO. The only intro I liked from the new generation was Seasons 2. I hate the Rivals/Exes intros.

Rivals 1 was the only time I've ever felt bad for Cara Maria.

**** she even fooled you.

i can't believe you think Cara was crying just to get attention. you seem to forget everyone on that season was targeting her, and she only started crying when Paula tagged along with Wes which made things worse.

imo the New Age started with rivals 1. so here's how i think about the intors.

Rivals 1: pretty bad, however it showed a lot more action and drama

Exes 1: i atually liked it, for the reason it was original and showed the cast members

Seasons 2012: pretty good as well

Rivals2: terrible, Rivals 2 was the first challenge i ever saw and every time i watched an episode i cringed at watching the opening intro

Free Agents: kind've poor, but was more interactive than both Rivals

Exes 2: i hated it for the reason it was the EXACT SAME as Exes 1. no difference whatsoever. i also hated how Adam K stole Leroy's move by picking up his ex, act like he was gonna kiss her, and then drop her. i hope i'm not the only one who noticed that.

Seasons 2 intro was good too forgot to put that one on the list.

I feel like Paula was better her last 2 challenges (Exes & Rivals 2) . I wanna think Laurel giving it to her/finally winning to calm her down.

Yeah but her I3 and G3 performances were solid. People really do try to make it out as if Paula sucks, maybe its because people feel like you're only good if you win. Out of her 10 showings, she only performed poorly on 3 to me.. The Duel, The Duel 2 & Exes. All of her other showings she was solid.. I dont think Paula is top teir but **** people give her no credit lol.

On the Island, she won a key by having another team help her win one and she sat on the Island and did absolutely nothing except be a follower to Kenny and Johnny.

On Fresh Meat II, she performed good in the Exile, but sucked in all the challenges.

On Cutthroat, the Red Team collectively was absolute garbage. There were thoroughly terrible in at least half of the challenges and Paula never really stood out in any of them except the first one in the gas chamber. She fell on the bed leaping challenge, fell on the surf board challenge, the red team collectively sucked on the basketball challenge, her and Dunbar fell on the tight rope, she didn't do shit with the ball balancing or Riot Act and lost the only elimination round she went into.

So Paula's only good challenge showings were The Inferno 3, The Gauntlet III, Rivals, and Rivals II.

Honestly it is hard to judge people's performances on the Island considering they all pretty much did nothing....#Justsaying

Still, the fact remains that she only had 4 out of 10 good challenge showings.

I also don't consider someone being a follower if they are good friends outside the show...Paula was close to Kenny/Bananas outside the show so of course she is going to align with them. I'm not even just referring to Paula, there is a lot of people who get called followers when it is just them aligning with their actual friends...

Being a follower is someone like Trey who just met Wes and was immeditately up his *** when he barely knew him.

Yeah I realize that she is friends with them outside of the show, but I guess it was the way she acted that annoyed me. She went into the face off with Dunbar, she was flopping around not doing a **** thing, laughing like it was some joke because she knew that she was going to either win the face off or win the vote off, which would have resulted in her getting a key either way. She would scurry around reporting everything that everyone said back to Kenny and Johnny like she was some servant. Don't get me wrong, I like JEK, but I do not like Paula at all and The Island was further proof that all she is and was, is a wannabe cool kid follower that tries too hard to be entertaining and it comes off as her being very annoying.

Riot act wasn't her fault, literally every girl there but Tori was teaming up on her.
You're forgetting Paula was the first person out of all three teams to finish bottleneck stampede. So yes she did have a standout performance.

I think Paula was a good competitor. She generally did good at challenges and was an overrall good athlete. She usually made the final and when she didn't is because she face an Elite (Evelyn, Emily x2) or queen of elimination herself Aneesa x2. Would've been interesting to see her go against girls more of her rank rather than alwyas elites lol but she did her thing. I wouldn't mind having her on my team.

And she beat Aneesa one time.

While Aneesa had a mountain on her kneecap lmaooo.

Finishing that challenge first didn't mean shit. It just means that she didn't have anyone holding her back. Melinda finished second does that mean she is good too? No.

paula and tori both got owned by camila on cutthroat statistic wise

That's sad.

Jonna is really underrated. She has done well in all of her challenges and I think she would kick *** in a final.

Jonna has done well in all challenges outside of Exes 2 where she crashed and burned in multipe missions.

*Waits for Jonna fans to argue back and once again degrade Zach.

i've lurked here for a looooong time and while people are still talking about the island, i'll post the least popular opinion ever:

i don't really get why johnny got all the heat for what happened with paula on the island? the way it looked on the show was that kenny made the deal with evelyn to save johnny, and even though he didn't stop it when i guess he technically could have, it was mostly kenny's negotiations that convinced her. yet no one was mad at him afterwards. like don't get me wrong bananas was a complete tool that challenge and there were a million things to be mad at him for... but in my opinion, not that

Bananas/Kenny were both in the wrong even though they did what they had to do to save Johnny they could have ****** Ev over when they picked the boats. But Bananas got more shit for it because Kenny was apologetic about it. I love Johnny but he was a **** on the reunion, he didn't really apologize to Paula or act like he cared. Kenny definitely did.

i guess i could see that, and he definitely should have apologized. i wonder why they didn't just drop ev when they picked the boats. seems like something johnny would do

Svetlana should have been eliminated in her duel against Beth. I know Beth broke the rules but Svetlana left the battle field before TJ even announced who won and that should have resulted in an automatic loss IMO. I really wish Beth stayed.

Does anybody remember the misson "All Shook Up" (Knocking competitors to muddy pit while hold on Parallel ropes) from The Duel 2? That mission was epic and awesome af! I remember Ruthie and Landon were killing & beasting it.

Hand down, one of my favorite missions ever! It was awesome seeing Ruthie and Landon dominate because I love both of them. Ruthie really impressed me when she outperformed Brittini and Tori in her heat because those girls are twice her size. I wish Ruthie lasted longer in The Duel II because she would've kicked *** in the individual missions, especially the ones that had to do with heights. Dangle Duo and Upside Downer were the perfect missions for Ruthie. She also would've kicked *** in the final. Even Rachel mentioned that Ruthie was her biggest competition. I would love to see Ruthie come back, she's still interested in returning!

still amazed that tori, in all of her competitive glory, did not even win a single mission on duel 2....didnt even come close

Because she is an awful competitor
