Reality TV Romance: Ace Amerson and DeAnna Pappas? (Reality Television) First off, an introduction: I am a newbie in this small corner of the blogosphere, though you might have seen me on our shopping blog. Henceforth I will be aiding Amanda Brown (aka Miss Pop-o-Matic) in her coverage of all things pop culture and Atlanta. Among the many topics Miss Pop-o-Matic has covered are the trials and tribulations of Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas, who went from brokenhearted reject to delighted center of attention to blissful fiancee to coldhearted publicity hound. So imagine my surprise when, just a week ago, I interviewed Ace Amerson of The Real World: Paris fame and he told me he and Pappas are currently "talking" (and not about the weather if you get my drift). The 29-year-old bar owner—whom I interviewed for a nightlife piece for the magazine—specified that he and Pappas are not officially dating and joked that he might just be a rebound guy (Pappas and fiance Jesse Csincsak split up last month). He also said Mallory Snyder, his former flame and RW housemate, no longer returns his calls. "She's a supermodel, I'm just a bar owner," he said. And speaking of Real World romances, Amerson gave me a tour of his bar (Midtown's Flip Flops, which will be profiled in our March issue), and whom should I see upstairs helping with construction but one Cohutta Lee from The Real World: Sydney. Both Lee and Amerson, Georgia natives who played the part of endearingly Southern, boyishly handsome white guy in their respective seasons, were involved in their season's juiciest roommate couplings—which probably says something about endearingly Southern, boyishly handsome Georgia natives. I don't know much about DeAnna, but Ace is very good looking and sweet, she is a lucky girl. Who knows maybe he will be the "one" for her (down the road of course it is all still new to them).

Is in not entirely more logical that for him having added another bar to his collection of businesses that he might have seen a market opportunity and acted on it? "Frat boy" Ace would have accepted BMP's invite for a recent challenge, but "business man" Ace stayed home instead to take care of business.

Flip Flops is not new for Ace. He had one in Statesboro (where 3 of his other bars are located) for several years. He simply expanded the franchise to the Atlanta area. Recently several of the "main" bars on the strip in Buckhead were torn down so many "new" bars are popping up in the midtown area to compensate for the ones lost. It's actually a very smart business decision. Although the "sweet" comment may be a little displaced...... As for Deanna, I could write a novel. Real Estate agent? Please. Bartender in a trashy hole in the wall small town watering hole? Much more fitting. For anyone who knows/has ever met Ace, Deanna might actually be worse. Just my 2cents

Only Ace thread I could find and idk who this DeAnne ***** is but I want to see Ace come back. I think he would fit in well with these new schoolers. He's only done 4 challenges and his last appearance was Inferno 3. So he is still rather fresh IMO.

Also, who needs LaToya when we could easily get Queen Arissa from Las Vegas! She was a everything on Sexes 2 and she made the final. Plus, she has potential to not only bring drama but be a political beast as well.
