I thought Nia's tweet which I read somewhere on Vevmo was insightful. She said that Diem was cringing and crying while lying in bed for a few days before she got medical help. I am glad they showed how solicitous and loving CT was in the last episode. I also loved how he kept calling her "D". A first, I believe, in Challenges.
I watched the podcast from last nights show and Mark was on there and he was saying that a lot of time production has no clue what to do in certain situations so they ask the cast what to do. They didn't know what to do during the CT/Adam fight I guess and the cast was like um hello are you going to do something because CT is about to murder Adam. Mark also mentioned that at night, which is appears is the time the Diem thing really goes down because it is dark when CT is yelling at production, the crew that is with them are like class B not really sure what to do people whereas during the day it is the main and top people with the cast so they know how to react better. Plus who knows if they knew her Cancer was back. Like mentioned they thought she was having problems because of the Peanut Butter. Mark also mentioned that the produces cater to Diem because she has a strict diet on what she can eat so she has food just for her which means it gave them more reason to think the Peanut Butter upset her stomach. Lastly Simone said that where the house was located was really remote like they would need to fly into the actually city of Panama and then most of the time you would need to stay in the City of Panama for the night because the flights would not leave from Panama as often as you would think.
Production and the rest of the cast may not have known but CT and Diem knew. Diem did an interview with her friend Alicia for E! News where she stated that she knew before she went to the challenge. There was also an article published after Diem passed where it was revealed Diem was rediagnosed in early July.
In the preview for next's week episode, when CT is yelling at production, you can clearly hear him say, "You have no ****** idea what's going on!" and "Your dealing with someone's ****** life!" It's obvious that he knew as well. He wouldnt have said that if he didnt know something. I believe initally they thought it was a peanut butter reaction but, once the pain did not subside and lasted for more than a few day, what was really going on became evident.
OK, so what have we learned on watching these 2 episodes....lets do a refresh:
1) Diem and CT were aware of her health condition yet she chose to compete
2) Diem is certainly in command of the relationship (where you saw a very different CT in Rivals 2) in this BOTE2 editing ......CT is submissive and protective to Diem
3) Diem is playing the Ex....some of the her comments seem almost scripted....have not kissed CT since Rivals 2, CT wants to flirt but I am cautious, if he grew up he would be fantastic (paraphrasing here)
4) CT makes the comment that Diem needs her space when she is not feeling well.....this is a snapshot of her behavior when dealing with her previous cancer battles.....highly independent
5) CT can be a difficult person and his past actions speak for themselves...but he was certainly devoted to Diem....if I am a family member and watching these episodes I would be comforted by the fact he was there and taking care of her
6) This may sound strange but what struck me was this ......Diem's previous boyfriend seems incredibly nice and successful, the perfect blend for her vision.........CT is a bundle of testosterone who lacks a fear chip, willing to jump off cliffs, helicoptors, violent.........but yet would be fully devoted to her when she allowed it.......if Diem walks into a room on the arm of CT what is the reaction? You think CT would run into a burning house for Diem, you can bet on it....thats powerful to know
BOTE2 Ep 2 highlights the beginning of an incredibly difficult period for the families and Diem.

I agree with your post. So sad.
CT was very very loving and kind this past episode. You can tell just how concerned he was and how much he loves her. What gets me, after listening to the afterbuzz interview with Mark, is that the challenge producers do not have a certain protocol that they follow for emergency situations no matter what time of day it is. If Diem had died while there, Bunim Murray might have been taken to court by Diem's family. I know cast members sign certain contracts and Diem did not inform them she had cancer this time, but still it's highly irresponsible that Bunim Murray does not have emergency contingency plans setup. They should have those procedures setup just in case....doesn't matter how far away they are from the US....they still should have a procedure put in place to quickly get somebody home if need be. Obviously my first concern is for Diem, not Bunim Murray losing money in court....just was trying to make the point that I'm surprised Bunim Murray would put themselves in that position but maybe they feel that what is stated in the contracts is enough to cover them if something were to happen. I'm just glad Diem did make it back home and made it through those surgeries. As rough as the next few months would be for her, still, at least family and friends got to say goodbye and were allowed some time to process things and get some form of closure and acceptance, which is something that would have been very hard to achieve if she had passed while on the challenge. Not that it was easy to accept her passing after her 3-month ordeal...not all, still very hard...but I'm just saying it would have been twice as messed up if she hadn't made it back home alive. To end on a positive note, I'm glad we got Diem for the time that we did....all those wonderful challenge moments and also witnessing her advocacy work on behalf of patients, interacting with her on social media and some fans got to meet her in person. We were truly blessed to know her and I think we all will remember her forever. She was so so special.
What was the story on Diem and CT's relationship? I asked why CT wasn't running a train on the girls of the Free Agents cast like he did on Rivals 2 ... and was told he had a gf back home and that that gf was Diem. Were they still together?

Nobody knows for sure but they have been spotted out together holding hands kissing, hanging with her friends and family and his family and friends so even though you do not officially know the spotting started after Rivals 2 so it is assumed they are together. Cast me members have also said they were officially together and it was also said someonewhere from one of Diems friends that when she died they were not offical offical but were planning to get married next summer when her Cancer was gone.

Also when Diem passed, One of CT's good friends tweeted like "keep my friend CT in your prayers, he just loss his girlfriend"
Heres another little clip of Diem from the mv page, the hair flip from Duel 2 always gets me its sad that the last video we see of her is her crying in pain, I just try to remember that she didnt go out like that, she came back to the US and did more interviews and participated in more charity events before she passed. But its sad to think we wont see anymore happy goofy vids of her dancing around

That video makes me want to smile and cry at the same time. Her life was so impactful and she lived it to the fullest, with such joy! I'm glad she made it back home too. It was so good to see her participating in Run For Her, doing that interview for E News and going out and accepting an award....even though the interview was sad....it was a reassurance to viewers at home at the time...here I am in this moment and I made it through the surgeries and I'm doing okay right now in this moment in time....it was like she got to take some power back from cancer. It was inspiring to see how she didn't want to just sit at home, not letting people see her physical appearance....her intention was always to be out there publicly advocating.
Did anyone else find the editing of episode 2 a bit confusing?
We'd all been told Diem "collapsed" on set but all they showed was Theresa telling CT that "Diem's not feeling well. She wants you to go there." and CT says "Uh oh" and finds Diem sick in bed.
And that sequence happened after the power couple had already made their nominations which Diem appeared fine at.
Did the collapse happen closer in time to the challenge itself? Did it occur on set of the 2nd challenge or back in the house? Had she already seen a doctor by this point? Feels like a critical sequence of the story was skipped.
Or is her collapse still to come in the 3rd episode?
Not sure that skipping the actual collapse but showing her writhing in pain in bed really makes much of a difference to the viewers (although I admit if I actually did see the collapse maybe I'd feel differently).
From what i hear i believe he is working, but it is one of those things you can leave for a month and just resume. All that does is just hurt the amount you can make. It's not like a 9-5, if what i hear is correct. He used to do it back in the day as well.
CT also went on duel 2 when he clealry wasn't right so him doing a bar appearance to me is no hint towards him feeling any better at all. Maybe this is a test to see how OK he actually is 4 months or so later. If he can handle the questions he knows will be asked etc.
I really feel for CT, lost his brother than his love in a 5 year span. He had anger issues before both too so i just hope he can find a way to be OK and find a way to be happy in his own way or however he can be. Diem saw a lot of potential in him, he needs to see this as well.

I understand that he is not feeling better. It was a bad choice of words on my part. I did not intend for it to come out that way. All I meant is that maybe he is beginning to feel able to get back out there and do things again.

I agree. I hope he finds the happiness he deserves. If he ever comes back on the challenge, I will 100% be rooting for him to win.

Tonight will be worse - she was just starting to feel unwell on the last episode.
I am guessing that she will collapse when she tries to get out of bed.
Regardless of this season outcome Diem and CT are, for me, the real winners. They are the true champions of this greater game called life.
Thank you so much to both of you for having shared so much.
Agreed thinmini.
Best post I've ever read<3
Looks like CT is feeling a little better...

Doesn't necessary mean he's feeling better--he still needs money.
Sadly, life goes on...you never forget but you have to live your life.

Rescent pic of CT, he is letting his hair grown. I wouldnt be surprised if he donates it for cancer patients:

aww His hair is like it was on the duel.
"He looks like a freaking calvin klein model" -Diem <3
I remember Diem saying that. Yes, he does.
