If the victim was anyone but Johnny Bananas I feel like everyone would be signing a different tune. Great move but Sarah was wrong and shady. Her own partner didn't even truly agree with her decision in that moment.
You'd be wrong, at least for me. Great gameplay is great gameplay. Yes, the fact that Bananas was on the losing end of it is hilarious because it's rarely to see the King turned into a pawn, but you do what you got to do to win. It's the obvious game choice. This is a competition for money. They weren't teammates. She won, you lost, stop crying Bananas. All is fair in love, war, and challenges. Sometimes you eat the bar, sometimes the bar eats you. Add any other goofy cliche.
That's why part of me doesn't get why so many people want all these old-schoolers back. Alot of them have moved on and/or just don't want to do them anymore. We can't expect these people to be on TV forever.
You realize that most have expressed an interest in returning for a season or two--no one is saying they need to do every season
Someone like Darrell would be more than happy to come back once every 3 seasons or so...lots of others as well. You still have a life outside the challenge when you spend, at most, 3 months over 30+ months doing challenges
Whom besides Darrell(whom is pointless to bring back IMO) Is willing to return?
Darrell isn't pointless no matter how many times you make that ridiculous point. Rachel Robinson is, Tina is, Mallory is, Elka is, Arissa is/was, Cameran is/was, Randy is/was, Robin would be back in a second, Veronica would come back if conditions change...**** if conditions change pretty much everyone is willing to come back...Brad, Landon, Christena P, Mark obviously...
Why in the world do you think people aren't willing? When the old schoolers got calls many were very excited but then MTV got involved.
Frank, Nehemiah, Danny, Melinda...I could probably go on all day
The only reason I would want Darrell to return is to redeem himself after his last two appearnces. Rachel is pointless IMO. Tina wants to come back? I thought she was done. I'm fine with Elka/Arissa/Cameron/Randy returning. Robin I'm on the fence with. If she's in a better place then yeah. Veronica is done and so is Landon and probably Brad too. They wouldn't even ask Christena and I don't see them asking Mark either.
I don't understand why everyone is looking into why Sarah is done. Why is it so hard to believe that she's done with the challenges because she wants to move onto something different. Yeah, she loved the challenges, and it's something I'd have a hard time letting go, but she wants to make a life outside reality TV. It's not that unfathomable that people change over time and their preference and priorities change. Yeah, being on the Challenge might be surreal, but it comes with a cost (a two month hiatus on your life back home). For someone that wants to be a school teacher or has family, that doesn't come as easily to others like CT or Bananas, who have no real commitments at home (I'm ***uming here). Yes, many have had families and children and jobs and school and still have participated, but where are they now? They left, because their priorities shifted into focusing on that. I'm not hating on anyone that have been doing this for 11+ years, its fun, but I question, what will they do once it's all done?
Wes has his 74 companies (he probably got another 74 after Rivals 2) and Darrell and Emily opened up their gym. Jamie Chung got into hollywood and one guy go into Politics. Veronica and Rachel tried starting their t-shirts thing a while back. I guess Johnny has his t-shirt line too...mmm..
the school teacher thing is so moot as ive already explained
anyways... yeah as someone else has already said, more than half of those people are willing to come back and the vasty majority dont do what jamie is doing. just because someone says that theyre done in their final confession doesnt mean they actually follow through. most end up fading into their sedated, run of the mill lives for a few years and express that they want to come back on twitter after theyve gotten a taste of the flavorlessness of real life and the new season airing which inspires nostalgia and what they missed while they look down at their microwaveable frozen costco dinner or mcdonalds dollar store burger that theyve had for 4 nights straight in a row after coming home from an 8 hour shift at work(that theyre probably apathetic about at best) where they had to deal with their insufferable, nagging boss that they almost went mike tyson on but cant cause theyll get their *** fired and kicked to the curb
i wouldnt worry about CT or bananas at all. if they want to settle down into american invisibility theyll have plenty of time to
go to school....get into student debt....get good grades....get a "good job"....commute 9-5 (7-6) till were 65 and past our prime....get a mortage....get married and hopefully with someone that you actually love and find almost perfet and not someone thats just convenient and "meh" enough to "settle" with cause youre desperate and the clock is ticking....pump out kids in our increasingly consumerist society that promotes narcissism and greed and unappreciation for the parent....raise them from the sweat of your own back whilst paying off your debts.....potential divorce(40-50% chance in america)
maybe try to seek escapism every once in a while(or more like every time they can) by watching "the challenge" or posting on forums and twitter about it...oops!
if they envy us they can follow anytime but i have reason to believe that theyre not ******* their pants in anticipation for dat life

Not many, but some people are happy about it and want to move on. I still don't understand how hard it is for you to believe that poeple might not find doing the challenges as apeaing anymore.
It's like smoking weed and binge drinking (i'm in college now). Yeah, its a ******* good time, but sooner or later, I'm not have the time to do it all or even want to do it. Yeah, I'll remember the good times, but that doesn't mean I'll do it. Perhaps once in a blue moon. But that takes less commitement than going away for one/two months.
I get it, you get paid, have fun, compete, but I've always heard it's physically and emotionally draining to be in the challenge, Maybe some people are done for good. Others might express willingness to return, but that doesn''t mean they'll do it in the end. Have these people express they want to return as of recent, and i'm not talking about, like a year ago, i'm talking about like yesterday. Can 24 hours is a long timeand you can change your mind about 300 times before they actually get a call.
But enough about this. At the end of the day, we might not see Sarah for a while, which I'm perfectly fine with. I wish Bananas took at least a two season break now..
If Sarah changes her mind and wants to return in a few years (if this show even exists in a few years), this move won't prevent it. One sore loser chirping and a couple of his friends currently backing it up won't matter. ****, the majority of the contestants that would be on the show at that point wouldn't care either way -- they might even like Sarah for not being afraid to take a swing at the King.
It was an easy decision for Sarah to make, and the only "repercussions" came in the few days between dropping the hammer and Bananas' elimination. If she ends up winning $125K, that uneasiness will be well worth it. ****, even if she wins $35K it's still worth it. Bananas is just a dude, nothing more, nothing less.

Right. Living in a house with 30 people in a foreign country, sometimes without air conditioning and always without TV, internet, etc., and sleeping in bunk beds in rooms of 4-8 people gets old. I mean, I had fun living in a dingy house with a bunch of randoms in college and drinking every day, but I sure as **** wouldn't want that to be my life now. Maybe for a weekend every so often for nostalgia sake, but people grow up, move on, evolve. I don't think challengers are any less prone to "growing up".

They aren't and we've seen that time and again so I don't get why people think people don't move on, grow up and end up walking away from these shows. I mean the picture V123 is painting is rediculous.

i dont know about the timing but expecting a declaration to come back within the past 24 hours as definitive proof that they will is just unreasaonable considering some cast members dont even tweet every 24 hours. they expressed interest somewhat recently, that clearly shows that theyre missing it or regretful of their initial decisions to "retire". whether or not they would follow through because they NOW have kids or responsibilities that they cant leave is another story.

And I wasn't talking about proof. You just seemed to be so certain these people want to come back. I was simply making a statement, that even though they may have said they wanted to comeback, they could have easily changed their mind.
Also, I wansn't talking about addiction, that's a totally different ball game than recreational usage. Anyone watching TV or a video is detaching themselves from the "real world", that's why television and movies are so successful, it provides that escapism from our daily lives. Also, going hiking or swiming or being active povides that too. I just happen to be posting right now. But that doesn't mean people dislike or hate their life because they participate in these activities.
All I'm saying that is you seem so sure about people regretting their decision to "retire", that the Challenge is too apealing to give up and do more normal things like working a 9 to 5 to many. All I'm saying is that, priorities change. What they like today may not be the same thing they like tomorrow. Maybe Sarah really does want to focus on creating a family and a career in teaching. Who knows but herself.
Not to mention the bad living conditions they live in that several castmembers have spoken about. These challenges aren't as glamorus as they seem to be and that's been evident for years now.

I don't think challengers are any less prone to "growing up".
a lot of things that you think you "dont want to do" are only categorized in your conscience that way because you have repercussions from your parents and society. im pretty sure you prefer your weekends to your weekday "realities"
i do think that the challengers are less prone to growing up. look at the type of people they cast. most of them arent exactly studious, study bug, law abiding scholar material. they ae like the bananas and CT personalities...the alpha male type...and these kinds in general are less vulnerable to outside stressors or what people think about them and how they need to "grow up". theyre basically like kids, they just act in accordance to what makes them feel best at that moment in time and yeah "growing up" traits arent typically ***ociated with that
Also, I wansn't talking about addiction, that's a totally different ball game than recreational usage. Anyone watching TV or a video is detaching themselves from the "real world", that's why television and movies are so successful, it provides that escapism from our daily lives. Also, going hiking or swiming or being active povides that too. I just happen to be posting right now. But that doesn't mean people dislike or hate their life because they participate in these activities.
recreational usage is basically just a minor form of addiction. you could be doing something to perfect or improve yourself anytime youre smoking pot or drinking or watching the challenge or posting on this forum.
and yeah TV and movies like "the notebook" are so popular because people probably role play wanting their love lives to be like that lol. you can call it whatever you want and if "dislike" or "hate" makes you feel too emotional and bitter about it then avoid that and do whats best for your self-esteem

I think the real question is, v123, are you having some regrets on life decisions?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like you're projecting your own doubts and perhaps unconcious regrets on to other vevmo users. mmm...
no its called being realistic and living in the real world and not pumping myslf up with false delusions because it makes you feel better about yourself. i cant stand politically correct, cheesy hallmark card delusionists
i mean if you really enjoy your "studies" then why else are you watching this show and obsessing over it? lol go do your homework or maybe a math problem instead

why? because youre uncomfortable with how its making you feel about yourself and your own life?
Seriously dude, you need to relax. You shouldn't be getting all upset about people disagreeing with you on a board devoted to reality television. Lighten up buttercup.
I love my weekdays and my weekends equally, i'd hope most people are able to find joy in the activities they partake in. Of course some get stuck based on the way life progresses, many do not though. I almost always love my job, just as much as I enjoy relaxing or working out or seeing good friends.
since youre taking my posts as aggression and an assault on you then i would advise you to relax for being so easily threatened
notice how its sometimes...such as in this situation... the sensitive people that tell others to relax because when THEY are the ones feeling uncomfortable anxiety and heat about the situation like theyre scared that something is going to pop off. nothings gonna happen...dont wory, i wont hurt you lol
besides, look up. youre the one who told me to sit out after i made some empirical observation about your normal life. dont be so sensitive. save all your zeal for sarah since you seem to be thoroughly obsessed with fighting for her honor when it comes to bananas....maybe you know her in real life...i dont know but its just reality teleivision

curious but whats your job?
also if someone told you that you wouldnt ever have to work again but could be compensated financially for the rest of your life would you purposely go to work 40 hours a week voluntarily for free?
and bertha, stop wasting bandwidth with your trashy gifs and posts that dont have anything worth saying. stick to being up sarahs *** unless you can make a point more logical than that of by a 5 year old. ur so basic

I'm an audience coordinator with a casting company. So I coordinate the audience for various tv shows. No I wouldn't do 40 hours, I never have and I wouldn't start. However, I like working, I act occasionally, background and other stuff and I played poker professionally for awhile. Now I only play when I am in the mood.
They wouldn't even ask Christena and I don't see them asking Mark either.
the school teacher thing is so moot as ive already explained
anyways... yeah as someone else has already said, more than half of those people are willing to come back and the vasty majority dont do what jamie is doing. just because someone says that theyre done in their final confession doesnt mean they actually follow through. most end up fading into their sedated, run of the mill lives for a few years and express that they want to come back on twitter after theyve gotten a taste of the flavorlessness of real life and the new season airing which inspires nostalgia and what they missed while they look down at their microwaveable frozen costco dinner or mcdonalds dollar store burger that theyve had for 4 nights straight in a row after coming home from an 8 hour shift at work(that theyre probably apathetic about at best) where they had to deal with their insufferable, nagging boss that they almost went mike tyson on but cant cause theyll get their *** fired and kicked to the curb
i wouldnt worry about CT or bananas at all. if they want to settle down into american invisibility theyll have plenty of time to
go to school....get into student debt....get good grades....get a "good job"....commute 9-5 (7-6) till were 65 and past our prime....get a mortage....get married and hopefully with someone that you actually love and find almost perfet and not someone thats just convenient and "meh" enough to "settle" with cause youre desperate and the clock is ticking....pump out kids in our increasingly consumerist society that promotes narcissism and greed and unappreciation for the parent....raise them from the sweat of your own back whilst paying off your debts.....potential divorce(40-50% chance in america)
maybe try to seek escapism every once in a while(or more like every time they can) by watching "the challenge" or posting on forums and twitter about it...oops!
if they envy us they can follow anytime but i have reason to believe that theyre not ******* their pants in anticipation for dat life
Not many, but some people are happy about it and want to move on.
Not to mention the bad living conditions they live in that several castmembers have spoken about. These challenges aren't as glamorus as they seem to be and that's been evident for years now.
Backpack needs to take more than a two season break..He needs to take a long *** hiatus.
Exactly, which is why I find it so easy to believe people actually want to stop being a part of these shows.

They aren't and we've seen that time and again so I don't get why people think people don't move on, grow up and end up walking away from these shows. I mean the picture V123 is painting is rediculous.

I'm a dude actually, but appreciate the support

i dont know about the timing but expecting a declaration to come back within the past 24 hours as definitive proof that they will is just unreasaonable considering some cast members dont even tweet every 24 hours. they expressed interest somewhat recently, that clearly shows that theyre missing it or regretful of their initial decisions to "retire". whether or not they would follow through because they NOW have kids or responsibilities that they cant leave is another story.
and your weed and drinking indulgences might come sparingly to you but addiction to any activity that removes you from reality for a lot of people is a real problem. besides just smoking weed, posting on a forum and watching this show shows that youre trying to detach yourself from the real wordl AKA your studies anyways

And I wasn't talking about proof. You just seemed to be so certain these people want to come back. I was simply making a statement, that even though they may have said they wanted to comeback, they could have easily changed their mind.
