Anyone you guys feel has a winner's edit so far? I feel like Jenn and Mike are hogging a lot of screentime.
Probably. I feel Dan might actually make the merge. He had premerge written across his forehead, but he surprise us.
I just hope Lindsey, Carolyn, and Shirin go far.
I.agree about Mike, but why Tyler?
Mike has gotten an interesting edit so far, especially with how the latest episode painted him as sympathetic, which they didn't need to. Currently, Tyler, Carolyn, and Hali stand-out as potential winners with other contenders in Joe and Jenn.
Why Tyler? He hasn't done Anything really. Same with Hali.

Tyler and Hali won't win. The first and last shown in the intro never do.
I always thought the intros were just random, they don't even bother to show them anymore
Tyler has shown to be fairly savvy and forming good relationships (see Carolyn informing him about the idol or Joaquin sharing the clue with him). Also, Hali had a great scene where she tried to get to know Nina in the second episode. In fact, it showed a stark contrast with her and Jenn and it's very well known that how you treat the outsiders/people lower on the totem pole, can be very important.
I also think anyoen from Blue Collar cna be out if they make a swap since it'll be a ***********. However, I have a feeling Kelly might be med-evac if the injury is serious since we see Sierra mention someone bleeding and Lidnsey has gotten way too big of an edit to go out this way. It would certainly explain her edit.
They are to an extent. Never let the winner be the first or last person they see.
They need to go back to airing, it's not they're missing anything in those sixty seconds.
I'm struggling with this cast thus far. I really don't like anyone, at all. Not even a little bit.
After a string of solid seasons, this one feels like a dud out of he gate. Maybe it's just me...
Hmm I don't see it as a dud, do you just prefer more strategy and not like the character scenes or you just don't like the cast at all? I think Caramoan is the dud season personally from the 25-30 stretch.
I'm not feeling this season (or cast) at all either.
There is no one to like, which means there is no one to root for. Unless something dramtically changes, it is going to be very hard for me to watch this sesaon through...
I don't know if that's even something I'm supposed to take seriously given those descriptions? I don't see how at the very least Joe, Will, Hali, Max, and Carolyn haven't come across as likable. Also, I don't really see how Jenn is an *******? I mean she was a bit snarky and rude, but based off of what we saw Nina DOES use her disability as a crutch or at least in the game she did. Besides that, can't think of anything that would qualify as an *******.

Joe is supposed to come across as likable. He's your cookie cutter survivor All American good guy. I just don't like him - specifically because of that.
Will would be likable outside the game, but in game context I don't see him as a force. He's moves have been sketchy at best and he's basically cannon fodder. Thus the "BLAH" designation.
Hali who? I think I remember her wake boarding, that's about it. She'll be a floater extraordinaire until her ticket is called and torch snuffed. Nothing to hate being she is just there as an extra.
I wanted to like Max, but he is a bit too hard on the hipster for my tastes. If he would have just played it close to the vest, he could have been a force - but his Richard Hatch nude beach homage tells me he is somewhat of a joke. Sure, it was a TV moment, but a strategic fumble.
Carolyn comes off as a little too New York for my New England tastes. That said, I probably could grow to like her over time given the choices are so limited.
Jenn is snarky, extremely entitled and rude. I at the very least "hate watch" until she is gone.
As to my favorites, I like strong strategic players like Boston Rob or Tony Vlachos. Rough around the edges, but game smart. Natalie was not a favorite, but I respected her game play and would put her in the same category. I hate floaters (e.g. Natalie White, Fabio) and players with no redeeming qualities (e.g. Colton Cumbie.) That said, I have pulled for total ******* (e.g. Hantz) if I think they have superior game play.
This season is very boring.

Exactly. And I hate the theme, its so stupid. They could have choose something better IMO. Brains/Brawn/Beauty was great. I also liked the Nicaragua theme with the ages. I think that would have been good with this cast-- if they were divided by age instead of status.
The season got a lot of hype. And it's not living up to it, at all. #Dirty30 my ***.

He seems to have an extremely good social game, him still being in after two BAD challenges is amazing.
Uh what? She's easily played one of the better games and she's had the confessional about bonding with Nina, she got strategic airtime the last episode, and explained it perfectly to Nina at TC too.
But anyway, Russell is definitely an *** but he doesn't have superior gameplay at all. Ironically floaters like Natalie White, A m***ively better player, beat him. I hope you don't have this opinion that OTT/agressive strategies are the only good ones?
I agree Jeff overhyped the season, but I still love the season and I would not call it boring at all. Probably the least accurate description imo.
We're only three episodes in tho, the.merge is where the game really picks up for most seasons. Expect for rare instances like heroes vs villains
I agree that it's probably not gonna be top 5 or anything, I mean Cagayan's premiere is superior to all 3 episodes so far but WA still has great potential. The SJDS premerge was rough as well and look how great it went.
Great may be a bit of an overstatement. Great moments maybe (Baylor's blindside, Reed's speech), but not great as a whole.
Reeds speech was just a thinly veiled way of hearing himself talk. Reed is probably one of the most arrogant annoying people ever on the show .
Natalie and her revenge story, Joncyln and their dynamic storyline, Keith ************* his way to final 4, Josh/Jeremy going back to back, the first few postmerge TCs, f9 immunity challenge, great is not an overstatement.
I couldn't care less about Nina, so bonding with her does nothing for me. That's what I am getting to in that I don't care about either side of the engagements, so it's all a blur of boring.
Natalie didn't beat him. She was just the only person there not named Russell. She is easily the least deserving winner in the history of the game as she did nothing to win beyond showing up.
No remembers her as, "Natalie White...winner of Survivor Samoa!"
Instead it is "Natalie White: Uh...wasn't that the person who won that season Russell Hantz was on with the bitter jury? Not sure. Very forgettable..."
That said, I don't necessary need an aggressive personality to like a season. I just need likable people who are not ***********************. Last season had all sorts of stuff going on comparatively. I could have gone 18 different ways. This season, nada.

U completely agree, people try and act like Natalie played Russell and was a good player. She was a face in the crowd.
