The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 - Lovers In The Dark

I do wish Wes would start working out again, because Wes vs Derrick is still one of my favorite elimination rounds to watch. Not that I'm making excuses, but some eliminations just have to do with mere size ALONE, so of course he won't win against Big Easy or Leroy. And also, if you ignore his face, buff wes is hot.

General thoughts on this episode...

  • I feel bad for Wes and Theresa. They have been in my opinion the best time by far throghout this whole challenge. They (moreso Wes) played a smart game - it sucks to see the twist being done when it was done. Wes stood no chance against Leroy, and Theresa held her own against Nia (moreso the second round).
  • I am a Nany fan, but I can admit that her attitude during the elimination round was shitty. It's never classy to cheer when someone is potentially injured - same can be said for Bananas.
  • Congrats to Jordan and Sarah for locking up a spot in the final! Extra kudos goes to Sarah for pulling out one of the boldest moves I have seen on a challenge; way to stick it to Banany, and after seeing their actions during their time back, I hope they lose against Nia / Leroy next week.
  • It is also complete bullshit for Bananas to react the way he did when Sarah voted him and Nany into elimination. Eariler in the episode, you were talking to Sarah, saying that she needs to do what needs to be done to win, yet when she pulls a move that could aid her, it's the "worst move in the history of the Challenge." Give me a ******* break.
  • Jay / Jenna...from the viewpoint of a spectator, I would not want them in a final, seeing that they "skated through." However, from the viewpoint of a competitor, I can see why they would be a team to have running a final - no experience more than likely leads to last place (e.g. Mike / Leroy on Rivals I, Marlon / Jordan on Rivals II), granted that they could pull out second (like Reilly did last season), but to be honest, I don't see that happening.

How come people are putting down Jay and Jenna for making the final? I'm all aboard the mentality that someone should deserve their spot in a final, and sure Jay and Jenna never went into an elimination, but they never got last place either.. That's saying a lot, especially considering the two of the other three teams in the final four did get last place at least once.

I know hey were kept around as the "lay up," but I don't put them in the same category as say Devyn on Free Agents. She was never put in because she is a bad competitor, but had there been a "last place competitor goes in automatically" and it was an individual game, she would've been gone before the halfway point.

Wes used to be in among the best shape (just the way he's cut...he's always been iffy endurance-wise I thought) of the guys doing the show up through probably Rivals. On Exes I thought he looked a little doughy and then from Battle of the Seasons until now he just looked skinny. I think if you chopped the head off and put Duel/Ruins Wes against Wes now you wouldn't think it's the same person.

For me, honestly, I'd rather want three tough teams going head-to-head in a final. It's not that I don't want to see Jay / Jenna run a final, because again, we're not sure on how they would do in one, but I think the final would have been better off had they been eliminated and the final four consisted of Wes/Theresa, Banany, Leroy/Nia, and Jordan/Sarah. Within this group, you have three strong teams with Leroy/Nia being the ones on the outside. IDK, that's just how I view things.

But I will agree with you that Jay / Jenna are not in the same category as Devyn. She was lucky enough to be in the final, and I'll give her props for competing it, but that spot should have gone to Theresa. Or to Cara Maria before she broke her hand...hell, even with a broken hand, I think she would have done better than Devyn.

I hardly ever look at Wes (or most of these guys) for their face anyway. I mainly look at/for their backs. (if you catch my drift)

*It was so crushing to see Wes & Theresa go out in such an awful way.  I know that Wes tried his only option since there was no chance he was gonna muscle his way past Leroy.  I really feel badly for him, & even worse for Theresa.  It was sickening to see the ***** & the ********* with their smug annoying smiles watching from above.  They are 2 of the biggest pices of shit this game has ever seen.

*Nia has proven to be just another Aneesa.  Mediocre in the challenges, a force in an elimination round & a world-class shit-talker.  She is no top-tier competitor.  I enjoyed seeing her rip the house to shreds & the apology tour was disappointing.  No need to say sorry to that dirty *****.  Every word she said was true.

*Sarah needs to shut her condescending mouth.  You were never the nice girl.  You've always just been the annoying ***** of the house.  Now she can share the title with Jordan though.

*If I'm not mistaken, the first nightime challenge was in Battle of the Sexes 1, towards the end when they had to lie in those water tanks & have sea creatures dumped onto them.  Human Aquarium, I believe it was called.  Pretty sad that I have a better memory of these shows than the producers do.

*Finally Sarah does something right & sends in the 2 ********.  I love the hipocrisy coming from Bananas.  It's ok to send in a threat as long as it isn't him.  I truly believe he has no idea how stupid he comes off.  I cannot wait to see Leroy & Nia throw their ***** around in the dirt next week.  I hope karma comes for them hard for their shitty behavior.

Agree with everything in bold. Theresa really impressed me, and I actually like her a little bit. I was indifferent to her for the most part because she hasn't really done anything, but this challenge she showed something. I lost all respect for Banany after how they acted. Not that I had much respect for them in the first place. I'm glad that Sarah pulled that power move. She was just playing the game to win like Bananas told her to, and the fact that he got blindsided by her decision was great. Payback's a *****.

Agree with both of your statements. I wasn't calling you out, by the way, I just meant in general but I do appreciate you explaining your perspective. I do agree, I'd much rather see tough teams compete in a final. The difference between what you said and what others have said, you didn't say Jay and Jenna didn't deserve it, you simply stated you don't want to see them there. Which is completely understandable.

Others say they don't deserve it but never coming in last is a pretty good accomplishment.

Cara Maria or Theresa in that final would've been awesome. Cara Maria can play the victim and be made fun of for it, but breaking your hand during a competition is a huge blow to your confidence.

I get he takes his career serious, but if you plan on coming to a challenge, at least workout to get back in some type of shape.

Ok I never post my thoughts after each episode but I have a few things I wanna say:

1. Nany is ******* disgusting. I thought maybe I was being a little too hard on her this season, but her attitude during the elimination round proved how much of ******* and heartless witch she is.

2. I felt so bad for Wes, I honestly think he and Theresa would have a good chance of winning if it were any other elimination. Oh, well.

3. Theresa put up a good fight, props to her! I still don't like Theresa, don't feel sorry for her. She's been way too horrible on past seasons for me to like her just because she's against Bananas & Nany and didn't act like a complete fool for once in her life.

4. I feel like Nia really regrets the way she acted on Portland and that makes me like her even more. You can see that she really wants to be friends with most of her ex-roomates she had beef with (Jordan and Averey), but she lets her emotions get the best of her everytime. I think Averey has completely forgiven her, but I doubt Jordan ever will. I don't blame him, but I do feel bad for Nia.

5. Lastly, YAS SARAH. If she retires after this Challenge, man, what a great way to go out. Most ******  strategic move I can remember.

PS: BANANAS & NANY TO GET THEIR *** KICKED BY LEROY & NIA PLEASE DEAR LORD.

Fixed that for you.

Wes went out like a champ!!!!

Karma in the form of a friend is everything I needed for Bananas/Nany in the end. Still don't like Sarah.

People say Nia is disgusting but I was more shocked at Nany cheering when Wes got injured last night. I also will say even though I like Nia she made no sense in the previews when she was yelling at Sarah. It was really payback to Bananas and Nany for throwing Nia and Leroy under the bus in the other elimantion. Nia and Leory chances of beating Bananas and Nany are high so she should have just kept her mouth shut.

I don't understand why Nia or Leroy would be mad at Sarah. They got last place.

I wouln't be mad because Nany and Bananas were just laughing while they getting put up for elimation so I would have simply done the same and watched the two teams argue about Sarah backstabbing her friends.

Nia at this point already doesn't like Sarah so it is just another reason for her to go off on her which is dumb cause Sarah doesn't owe Nia anything.

If I was her I wouldn't give a damn, but it's her life. It honestly surprises me that anybody wants to be friends with somebody like Jordan....just an ******* for no good reason. I don't know what she sees in him but she needs to cut her losses. As long as she's good with Averey that's all that really matters; they were the ones that really threw down.

I don't think anybody has said Nia was disgusting for anything she did last night. Nany really showed her true colors though...it's one reason why I kind of wouldn't mind if some Bad Girls Club girls got on (only like 3 or 4 though), I know at least one of them would beat her ***.

I also don't understand Nia's whole thing with Sarah nor her & Jordan's infatuation with competing against the best in the final. All of them are going crazy at this point in the game.

No one said she was crazy last night but most of the time people say Nia is horrible for her time during Portland but nothing to me was worse than Nany cheering when Wes could have seriously been hurt.

I like Nia but she is making zero sense at this point. I like that she slayed Nany but going off on Sarah and ranting about this final is annoying because she isn't making sense.

Oh yeah lol I've just chalked that up to people not knowing how to take a personality like Nia's & people subconsciously feeling like so-called black girls have to act a certain way on RW. Most of those same people have all come around to her now lol

From what her Twitter says, people basically warned her about Sarah & she started seeing it for herself, plus Sarah's whole condescending thing about how she's such a "nice girl who's always played the game fairly". Still, Sarah is really not the one she should be going after.

Everyone should be able to see through Sarah at this point because she doesn't do a good job at hinding it. The girls is all for herself. There is nothing wrong with it all but she pretends it's a lie.

How she can say that after Cutthroat (the clues in the name) is completely beyond me.

It's Sarah. She's always had her head up her *** & thought she is the best thing since sliced bread.

I think people had reasons to dislike Nia on Portland even if I loved her then (threatening production, bringing someone in to jump Jordan, making a rude joke about Jordan's hand, her fight with Avery/Johnny, etc.). I definitely don't wanna go through this whole debate again, but I understand why people like her now, instead of on RW.

That is interesting. That is the second time that a cast member has been warned about Sarah. First Trashelle and now Nia. I don't think Sarah owes Nia anything but I do agree that Sarah plays this nice girl act when she is far from it. It is good other cast members see through it.

Anyone know how to embed tweets?

This whole "I warned you about Sarah" nonsense is just that

There's no saints in these games...people are there for themselves and should be.  Alliances only exist until numbers are no longer needed.

Sarah no longer needed Bananas.  Why protect him and give him a shot at win #6 when you're still looking for your first?

Bananas was all about protecting the rookies to get rid of Wes--you can't have it both ways.

In my opinion if Sarah was so tired of people screwing her over she would have been on Free Agents where there was no team. If Sarah does win this final I won't take her serious just like I didn't take Paula serious when production decided to give her Emily and Evelyn as partners.

It is more that Sarah plays this good girl card but she isn't. If she owned it, it wouldn't be much of a problem.
