Knight/Jemmye could have possibly beat Jay/Jenna. Adam/Brittany they had no chance, Jay/Jenna that at least gives them a fighting chance. Zach knew that but chose Jenna over them a girl he knew for like 2 weeks. Zach sucks at the game. He may have won Seasons because of Frank but I doubt he wins this season or ever again.
I am currious why they have said nothing about how Jenna has a boyfriend.... I mean her and Jay were talking about it in the cast interview but when the actual season started nothing has been said.
I mean Jay/Jenna probaly would have beat them but that is probably the only team left that Knight/Jemmye had a chance of beating.
Correct--"had a chance of beating"...slim to none but had a chance.
And, to the person that says Jay works out all the time...he doesn't look like he works out all the time. Not saying he doesn't but I don't think he's very strong...maybe he has endurance (cardio guy) but I guess we'll see as things go on
A little late, but that's because I got a haircut. And I went to the gym. And there was apparently an hour show to watch, plus a 30 minute after show, plus an ex-ile. With that said, RIP Knight and let's begin.
I think I've narrowed down my crush this season. While Nany will undoubtedly always have a place in my heart (no matter how many times we have to sit through her crying this episode), does anyone else find Brittany kind of hot? Any chick who can take Tombstone Piledrivers in a tube top in a bar is alright with me. Unfortunately, I can sympathize with Adam here. No guy wants a girl who's way too clingy. But she's like, fun sized. That's fun, right?
Jonna & Jay's Pathetic Attempt at Airtime
Of course this season's newest, perfect, "Barbie & Ken" love are Zach and the "model" Jenna (I still need to see her 8 x 10s). They're no where close to the perfect Tumblr couple like CT & Diem, but you might be able to squeeze a few memes out of them.
This unfortunately doesn't sit well with Jonna and Jay, who are the complete opposite of the tall, incredibly good-looking couple that MTV loves to focus on. In their second pathetic attempt of the season to grab more screentime as supplementary characters, they make out at the bar to show up Jonna & Jay in this swinger's plot that they're developing. Unfortunately, Zach and Jonna don't realize that they've pretty much sealed their fate for Exes 3. Jonna, it's definitely not too late to grab Johnny Portland and make a new enemy in Averey yourself.
No Please, I Want To An Entire Episode of Nany Sobbbing
Nany was so good earlier this season. She was winning Challenges and verbally chopping down Theresa like it was nothing. She started out absolutely at the top of my own mental power rankings of the Challenge (Spoilers: She's always at the top <3), but man....did we really have to spend an entire episode watching her cry over Johnny Bananas because he doesn't like her?
You can tell production LOVES focusing on her because not only are there 3-4 instances of Nany crying about Bananas throughout the episode, but it actually ENDS the episode. Like what kind of flipping cliffhanger is that? There was just an intense elimination match between two "formidable" teams and now we end the episode with Nany sobbing...for no real reason? If this doesn't lead to her hurling a house chair or walking right into a pool then this does NOT need this much attention.
With all things considered however, Bananas is REALLY proving not only is he a veteran of the game but dealing with crazy chicks. Throughout the episode he hasn't met her with an inch of resistance at all, only fake coddling. +2 on my mental power rankings for Bananas (Spoilers: He's probably at the top already).
The 'Paint Me Like Your French Girls' Challenge
Any time a Challenge isn't at least 100 feet high and not over the chemical compound of one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms, I squeal a bit inside. This week's Challenge -- Brush It Off was okay. I could see how having to vigorously rub bodies with your ex could be a problem, but I think if it were one of the first or second challenges -- it might've had more awkwardness behind it. At this point, everyone's just doing whatever that the producers make them do for money. Challenge ******. Here are some notes about the Challenge:
Wes' body attack on Theresa might've been the most awkward thing a scrawny pale white man has done. Good lord, I hope he doesn't attack with the same ferocity while having sex.
"Jemmye's moving as fast as paint dries" is line of the night, by far. Knight's the back-to-back winner. If Knight didn't pass, they'd easily be front-runners for a Married with Children reboot.
Knight has the physique of a tube sock and he's definitely in the wrong era of Challenges. He'd be a superstar if he showed up during the era of the Battle of the Sexes / original Battle of the Seasons challenges, just from his entertainment value.
Zach and Jonna win the microwave pizza dinner, and I'm not excited. Not one bit. They're a team who could benefit from shaking things up, but think they're making the smart decision by not shaking it up. Out of everyone left, they MIGHT be the worst.
Okay, they are the worst. This entire deliberation was face-palm worthy, and while Zach thinks it's squarely on Jonna's part (lol statistically), but I don't think he realizes how bad of a partner he is. The problem with Zach is that he depends so much on being the Thor of the Challenge, that he doesn't realize how crummy his political game is. His lack of maturity in the game is the reason why he doesn't possess the tact that Bananas, Wes, or CT has in dealing with playing the political game. He thinks he's making a great play by throwing in another rookie team, but at the end of it he looks completely pathetic. It shows that he's not thinking pro-actively to reduce his competition in the game and just going with the easy decision because there will be no repercussions. Fortunately for him, no one wants to risk going up against him in a physical elimination round because they're afraid of getting wrecked. Unfortunately for him, he's kind of handicapped with the partner he has.
Jonna isn't a great physical competitor, but she's smart and has done enough of these Challenges where she can go. Just the fact that she's done four of these prior to this and have made it far means that she's somewhat seasoned in this game. But she's a middle of the road player. Middle of the road has been the story of Jonna's entire Challenge career. As long as the veterans like Bananas, CT, Cara Maria, Leroy, exist in this game....she won't make it to the end because she's not on that level. She SHOULD be on that level.
I can see why they threw in Adam & Brittany, but the thing I didn't like about it was how incredibly LAZY it was.
Wildcat Stripper Adam is the mascot for this episode
There's no excuse for MTV not having THIS song queued up for Adam's stripper escapades.
Compared to last week's utterly disappointing elimination match, this one's pretty cool. It involved strength (which is a plus!). Smashing shit (Another plus!). And actually requires teamwork (plus! plus! plus!), something that the team of Jemmye and Knight fail with flying colors in. Adam's secretly teenage Gohan trying to bring out his inner powers, and with each win he gets more confident and less gawky. With their third win, Adam and Brittany are now officially a threat folks.
A note about The Man, The Myth, The Legend - Knight
Like Diem last episode, this is the last we'll ever see of Knight in the series and it's incredibly unfortunate. When it comes to being a physical competitor in this Challenge, Knight's nowhere near the top -- and he doesn't care, that's what's so unique about him. Over the course of 26 seasons (especially within the last 7), we've reached our quota of the hyper-masculine, muscle-head goons who backstab friends to make it to the end of this Challenge. But Knight brought an entertainment factor to The Challenge not seen since the days of Puck.
Stirring shit up just to stir shit up. Incredibly insulting one-liners. I watched his season of New Orleans as it aired (it would be one of the last seasons I ever watch of Real World), and it was his entertaining relationship with Jemmye that helped save the show. They were a couple that shouldn't have worked, but somehow did, and since have always kept a genuine/real relationship with one another that can't help us crack a smile. I'm glad they covered those last moments of Knight where despite the insulting in the face of defeat, he still said "We'll be friends though". Knight and Jemmye have a special bond, and it'll be interesting to see how she carries things out on the Challenge here now that she's not tethered to him by casting.
Knight's an ******* at times, but he's the most entertaining challenger to emerge in quite some time. Thank you for the memories. RIP Knight.
Who the F**K is Zuri Hall?
Not to say she's bad (actually she's better than most hosts), but usually they keep it within The Challenge circle. With that said, welcome to the family. Nonetheless, it's bad enough that The Challenge starts at 11:00 PM, but having an after show at midnight completely sucks. I've got to wake up at 6:00am for work, and I already invest an hour into The Challenge every Tuesday - so the next half an hour seems almost painful. Like most aftershows (probably all aftershows), there isn't anything that really occurs or brings closure. But I did appreciate the tribute to Knight.
Oh Yeah, There Was An Ex-ile
Knight dislocated his shoulder, they weren't able to compete. John and Simone win. Yaaaaaay, interracial couples. </Sarcasm>
BIG FAT LIKE BUTTON as always..
Knight & Jemmye > Jay & Jenna. There's no way that JJ would've won that elimination round against KJ.
No she works out unlike Jemmye. And kvm Jay always posts about crossfit and videos of himself doing handstand push ups or human flagpoles
I could throw Jay around--so could pretty much every guy on the show right now. Maybe he's in better shape now but the Jay on this show is weak. I'd love to see him in a physical elimination

My point was he's a hell of a lot stronger than Knight so I hate people act like knight & Jemmye would beat anyone in that besides jj & Simone
His size is definitely a disadvantage and he'd probably only beat JJ Knight and maybe Thomas in something physical.

Jay/Jenna & Johnny/Averey would have given Jemmye/Knight a better shot at winning--but, yes, I agree--they lose to anyone in that house other than JJ/Simone and probably Thomas/Hailey.
You can be smaller (see Derrick) and able to win physical matchups. I don't see Jay as that guy. I don't see the mentality or athleticism. It is early though--hopefully he shows something since I'm sure he'll be back based on the edit thus far

I agree with you guys, but it would be smarter to prepare for physcihally for the mini challenges and finals than just the physichal eliminations that caters to size and strength. So it seems like Jay has been molding the best physichal version of what shape he could be in for this challenge. Although im sure most people know this im gonna say it, there is more to the challenge than hall brawl and backpacking. If not Zach and C.T would have won tons of challenges.

I don't see this at all. If this is the best shape he can be in then he should stop challenges. He's not a weak as Thomas or JJ but he's not in challenge shape at all. The guys haven't had a chance to do much but I've yet to see him do anything for even a second and think "he's an athlete".
CT would have won a ton of challenges if it wasn't for bad teammates, his temper, a stupid DQ and him gassing out once. He could/should have won The Inferno (the puzzle), The Duel (ridiculous DQ--same with Beth), G3 (Easy), Rivals (if Adam didn't throw it) and Free Agents (just bad luck that he went into the final elimination). CT's always been good at daily challenges and is an excellent athlete. He doesn't fit would you're implying at all.
Again, let's stop pretending that Jay is somehow Dan (RR-NT), Derrick or even someone like Cohutta. If this was a duel and I was sent in I'd call him out in a second and would be embarassed if he even put up a fight, let alone stopped me.
There's no excuse to show up on a challenge in less than good shape. Goes for Knight/JJ/Thomas as well. Don't waste the time of people that are prepared.
Yeah Jay is no where near a Derrick or even someone like Cohutta who excels in missions and certain eliminations. He'd probably be the first one called out for a duel unless Preston is there lol.

Idk why but I'd be scared to call out Preston. He's so tall and it kind of scares me lmao. Id much rather call Jay and Cohutta.

He did most likely start to prepare after his rw season. Not all people bother being in peak shape if there is no need to be. And im not saying that C.T is bad at daily challenges and i know he has had some bad luck/ done some stupid things, but what i was saying was that if all you had to be to win challenges was big and strong, then he and Zach would most likely have won alot since they are big and strong. And yes we all know that if you were in the challenge, you would be a beast and a political mastermind.
I re read what part you was arguing, and found a much simpler reply. Jay became the best that HE could be in the time he had to prepare for the challenge. Jay and C.T are built very differently, so im not saying that just because he is smaller he has an advantage, im just saying he probably focused on what strengths he had. No matter how big he would get he would most likely never stand a chance in something like hall brawl or something similar. So why not focus mostly on preparing for winning mini challenges and finales?

First off, if I was on this challenge it would solely depend on my partner. I go as far as the girl allows me to go. Second, if I was on a duel like challenge I'd have no chance to beat a lot of these guys unless I got a puzzle or a true endurance elimination.
Your point about CT didn't make any sense--look at the recent winner--who was the last guy to win that wasn't big/strong? Probably Wes but he had CT...other than that it has been a very long time since we no longer have team challenges.
The problem with Zach is that he has no endurance and he isn't as strong as he looks. Still strong but not Thor

I'm not saying that shouldn't be his focus--right now I don't think he's anywhere near the level someone with his body needs to be. It is his first challenge so hopefully he comes back bigger than stronger. Kind of like Isaac claimed he'd come back looking like Landon...Megatron. Isaac came back much bigger--still not an athlete but he put in work.

Im not saying that being big is a disadvantage, im just saying that it comprimises your cardio to a certain point and that Jay is not built like someone like Zach or CT so in my opinion focusing on more than just strength is smart for Jay, just as it is for everyone else. So why would he come to the challenge having only tried to get bigger?
Yeah Jay is no where near a Derrick or even someone like Cohutta who excels in missions and certain eliminations. He'd probably be the first one called out for a duel unless Preston is there lol.
Idk why but I'd be scared to call out Preston. He's so tall and it kind of scares me lmao. Id much rather call Jay and Cohutta.
Cohutta beat Preston....
He did but I might also call out Cohutta before Preston. Preston's tall--that makes me a little nervous because you just never know what will be a factor.
Cohutta has an impressive win over Wes, got lucky Syrus stuggled with the key and a win over a weak Preston...his 2 losses are also very legit (Darrell & Leroy) so he's got a better track record but Preston's length is concerning for anyone under 6-0
Knight/Jemmye could have possibly beat Jay/Jenna.
Jay may be smaller but he works out all the time, I'd be he's stronger than knight and Jenna is probably much stronger than Jemmye.
You're right, Jenna got that "model" strength.
Not saying he doesn't but I don't think he's very strong...maybe he has endurance (cardio guy) but I guess we'll see as things go on
BIG FAT LIKE BUTTON as always..
Knight & Jemmye > Jay & Jenna. There's no way that JJ would've won that elimination round against KJ.
I think that "your man card is revoked" line was most likely aimed at Wes then Adam since Wes is in the room watching him strip.
I would have have my money on jay/Jenna over jemmye/Knight...
Me too but that's more about Knight/Jemmye than anything else
Yeah I know smaller guys can win but like you said he's no Derrick. I feel like he'll be okay in physical ones like handcuffs but something like hall brawl or balls in he's screwed
I think he'd get thrown around in Handcuffs too but it is all opinion.
Probably but it depends who he's facing
Jay looks about 5'9 160 lbs. I think he'd get destroyed by all the guys.
JJ isn't destroying anyone.

Cohutta beat Preston....
