I was so excited for this season. The Freak Show theme was incredible and perfect for AHS, and it was the reason I decided to start watching again. It really fell short. Actually it wasn't even a fall, it was a plummet.
I'm not writing off season 5 just yet. I'm praying for American Horror Story: Reservation and for there to be a Native American theme.
I really want that to be what season 5 is about as well. Plus have story lines on Bigfoot & Skinwalker lore.
I don't believe next season will be about a reservation... that said no one knows anything yet... but from the clues dropped in the first few eps, no one has made that conclusion. The most common theory going around is it will focus on Area 51.. I don't believe that will be the case. Recently the AHS instagram account posted a photo of a lighthouse asking fans if they have caught any clues. My wildest dreams would have it set in a seaside hotel in a small tourist town in Maine... I came up with that idea shortly after S1 aired, and I'm still holding out that it happens. There is so much they could do with that! A murder on the premises sparks mystery and intrigue, from the family that inherets the hotel to the odd guests and wacky staff members.

There is always so much they could do with a lot of ideas. But Ryan Murphy seems to not care about any of that. He would rather fill the season with half *** story lines & way to many boring characters that have nothing to do with the overall story of the season.

This. Murphy comes up with great ideas the first season or two, then half ***** later on expecting to thrive on the same boring tropes and weak "all-star" casts and cameos. If you have no interest or intentions on seeing something through to the end, don't start it to begin with.

At least AHS is an anthology and not a continuation... he's not asking us to watch and enjoy every single season. Everyone has different preferences. He sees each season to the end... despite some, in my opinion, being incredibly weak. But at least I can go back and watch seasons I did like without the worry of those storylines being messed with (well know that they are connected, I don't know haha). But yeah... thats my opinion on the matter... I thoroughly enjoyed S1 & 2 while there are a handful of people that enjoy 3 & 4. To each their own, i guess!
I still have hope that he will think up a fun season with a cool premise that works. Coven and Freakshow didn't do it for me, but at least he can still start from scratch.

I think maybe if he is bored with AHS currently that he should let some fresh writers come in & see what kind of horror ideas they can come up with. He can still produce & have final say, but just let some others be creative with the overall story line of the season.
**** a lot of ****** up deaths & **** has happened to the freaks on the last few episodes. No one is safe on this show lol.
Evan Peters is safe....the fake hand thing at the end was so predictable....my wife called that as soon as they were talking about wooden hands and she barely pays attention--haha

Looks like a blood bath next week with Dandy being the culprit. Maybe Evan Peters will put a stop to it lol. Poor Emma Roberts getting cut in half by the crazy magician.
Thank God. Though... I'm still not expecting much.
I read article, but they don't really go into detail with how there going to reinvent the show. So I am not sure I have faith in Ryan Murphy accomplishing this feat, especially now with his other new show Scream Queens starting in the fall.
so glad that dreck is over with lol... a lame finale to go with a lame season. Next season they really do need to focus in on a smaller cast.. or at least a little more focused storyline. Season 1 was great for characters & plot... Season 2 was great for character arcs and horror... Season 3 was.... and Season 4 was just no.
I'm looking forward to Scream Queens, because at least Murphy knows how to make a good first season! Hope that continues with SQ & ACS
I'm still really hoping for a season revolving around one of the following:
- An oceanside hotel/b&b that is inhereted by a family after the late owner, a mysterious relative, is murdered on the premises.
- A NYC storyline set in the early 80s with irish mobs, women's rights activists, and werewolves
- A small Vermont town comes under threat when a deadly serial killer returns to his childhood home, in which a new family resides, during one of the worst winter storms ever recorded
- A masked vigilante stalks a family's lake house during an annual reunion and the neighbouring camp that has just opened up after being closed for twenty years for a massacre that left many dead. (probably too similar to F13, but you get the gist)
I'm interested... but my hopes are not set too high. Apparently Murphy likes to have big casts, and yet again it seems like we have way too many characters to handle. But it is set in a Hotel, which I have speculated and hoped for for so long now, so I have to give it a chance. Praying it's at least somewhat watchable... it's giving me a bit of Asylum vibes, which is good.
I haven't been this excited for a season since Asylum. It can't be worse than that mess of a season that was Freak Show.
That was my first season, I only saw the first 4 episodes and gave up. It was horriblw, then I watched asylum and the one of the hpuse both were great.

NPH carrying the episode worked out great so far...there's still not much happening though
Doesn't that describe the season in its entirety (well near-entirety since it hasn't finished yet)?
Pretty much even know some people seem to like this season for some reason.
Wait, FreakShow is still going on?
Yeah it took a break during the holidays & tonight was the first night it was back on. There are only a few episodes left.
lolz now the show doesnt even register to me on wednesdays.. whoops

‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 Will Be a ‘Large Reinvention’ of the Series

I liked the finale. I thought it ended the season perfectly. I enjoyed this show and I'm officically and fan. Can't wait for next season.
Have you watched the other seasons--this was by far the worst
Yeah that final for season 4 sucked. Worse season yet.
The finale seemed rushed after everything else was dragged out

Lady Gaga joings Season 5
Setting will be in a Hotel!!!! Ahhhhhh that is what I wanted ever since season 1!!! WOOOO finally
Nailed it with ******* 100% perfection.
