For me, watching this show is like eating potato chips. I will love it regardless of its comparitive quality, so just keep doing what you do, MTV/BMP/etc.
It's just not a life changing amount of money. Because it has changed none of these people's lives as they are all still doing these shows over and over again.
The opening interview segment is always crucial to pay attention to. People featured in this season's: Johnny, Sarah, Leroy, CT.

I love Diem's advice sessions with the weak ones. Hallmark of the show that we don't bring up enough.
Jenna's butt; Good but not great. Averey must have a terrible personality/really screwed Johnny over if the guys are choosing Jenna as the hot rookie they want to get with this season. They aren't even comparable in terms of hotness. Always pick Averey
Jessica in response to the Jay/her joke rumors decides to do the most Jessica thing possible and be a humorless troll. Noted.
Simone, continues about how hot she is, while squinting and wearing a too tight top in her confessional. Noted.
THE ACTUAL CHALLENGE AND AFTERMATH
The Challenge was kind of boring this time. Wes and Theresa, Johnny and Averey, CT and Diem, and Thomas and Hailey are the only 4 who complete it. Wes and Theresa have a strong bolt out. I think Thomas and Hailey were the surprise of that group. The teams that were more even in weight definitely had a better time in this challenge. Girls like Jonna and Brittany had no shot here.
Bonus points for how scary Wes's face looked during the challenge.

Theresa is right; she is hard to like and a terrible politician, but she is knows what she is saying; Don't go after Bananas, idiot.

Putting Dustin and Jessica really isn't a bad call though for them to make. Still not the call I would make but not bad.

The size disparity looks bad again for Adam and Brittany in this elimination which again; looks just okay.
Dustin and Jessica fall because idiot Jessica leans back. This is sad because they were obviously more athletic/ better at this but they screwed up. And if we are being honest, neither of them are people we can live without.
Adam's "I love you" was hella cringey. Brittany's reaction reconfirmed why I declared my love for her 3 minutes ago.
The twist is alright to me. I don't think its going to be a gamechanger until way later on. Like their is no chance Dustin and Jessica are going to make the final now. Now someone who loses shockingly/accidentally midway in the season (someone like Zach or Leroy), is the one who stands to benefit.
MY DIEM THOUGHTS
I haven't been reading Vevmo the past few months but I know we are all really sad about Diem.
But I just want to bring up Rivals 2, and how the main late season storyline was Diem going nuts, and how a solid half of people watching turned on the by far best/most interesting person the show has ever had. Personally, I loved Diem and defended her when all that happened (but then again I liked Jessica last season). Whatever, we are the lame fans of this show doing it on a message board so it doesn't matter.
But I think reverting Diem's character into an angel this season after a contrived vilifying her on Rivals 2 is REALLY TACKY. It looks like kind of a desperate grab for ratings after all the publcity her cancer battle has drummed up for this fledgling show, has little continuity,. But then again, It is a good thing they are doing it because I think Diem was an awesome person but It still doesn't sit completely well with me. Rant over. Loved the episode. Happy to be back.
Loved your analysis! I'm happy that the Diem edit this year is closer to her true self. Although sad, knowing what was to come, I am thrilled that CT & Diem appear happy and loving in their interactions. Reminds me of how their chemistry ignited on the Duel and followed in subsequent challenges.

For me Jonna looked the hottest on Free Agents, she had a more natural look.
I agree. Though, something about her during the mission on this episode looked really good. Her hair looked good in a ponytail, and the light blue jersey complemented her skin really well.
