I love how people always downplay bananas wins, he always wins fair and square
I agree, the only one that's debatable is the Rivals one, I feel like production screwed Kenny and Wes on that one. But all the others were well deserved, especially on Exes and Free Agents.
Even if production screwed that up people shouldn't fault Bananas for that. He only did what he was supposed to do to get the win.
The problem of this show for me is that because these people know each other before hand, they aren't willing to backstab each other and make big moves. Also, people always form pre-season alliances and the game becomes really predictable. That's why I appreciate Wes and Theresa's gameplay, they aren't afraid of making big moves and backstabbing people, though it never works for Theresa.
Which once again..Can be stopped by them not casting the same people repeatedly.
And that's exactly the problem. If they stopped recycling casts the dynamics would be different and the game wouldn't be that predictable. Another problem is the recycling of themes. For example, on Rivals 2 and Exes 2 people already knew the teams and pre-season alliance formed. On a season like Cutthroat, you may form pre-season alliances, but if you don't end up on the same team it was all for nothing.

This I can get behind. As much as I hate Kenny/Wes I have to admit that they got screwed because of the way the final challenge was handled. They should've won that.

Kenny is the person I hate the most on this challenges, but he did deserve to win that challenge.

Rivals 2 they didnt know the format until they got on the spot, those reactions were actually genuine because of how production stretch a lot of those pairs and how the cast was divided equally of Veterans and Rookies (0 and 1 challenges) for the exception of only one veteran girl.

I can understand that, the teams were really stretched, but you get my point.
You know everyone ignores what you say about Bananas because at this point everyone knows you hate him & can't be unbiased towards him.
Even if, most of what he says, is true? Bananas should be sent home fast. He's clearly a threat with five wins under his belt, and if the rest of them don't see that, then that's another reason why Bananas wins so easily.
The people who he's casted with are stupid.
I think people are more afraid of him when he does came back that he will come after them / him / her. So they don't vote him in. It's not like they don't know his history, but apparently he's also a pretty good guy to be around with.
I've heard people say he's a good guy off the show, but nothing of what they show of him on the show is anything to write back home about, and since we ONLY see him on The Challenge, that whole them claiming him as a good guy shouldn't matter. So while that may be true, it's not really contributing to the other half of the show (competition) if you're willing to let a "good guy" win because you're afraid of what he'll do to you if someone bothers to make a good play.
Sorry if that comes across as aggressive or mean, GD. I don't mean it to.
I totally get you, but some people take their relationships off cameras into their decisions. I take Diem as an example of it. She never would've send in Wes, Emily, Bananas in an elimination round not because she was afraid of them, but they were "secretly" her closiest friend in their house and ultimatly cost her the win and viewers never got to see that.
I think BMP/MTV should include more puzzles /crapshoots in an elimination round just to scare some cross-fit junkies, encourage to make some bold plays and actually make the viewers believe that anything can happen.
Crapshoots aren't entertaining or good for competition. They are pointless and horrible to watch.
Why punish people for being in great shape....

I do get your point! It was obvious who were in alliance and who were the outsiders.

I can appreciate Wes' gameplay but not Theresa. Wes doesn't care about screwing people over and he owns his decisions and puts thought into it. Theresa doesn't own anything, she lies about it and then once she is caught she just starts crying. Theresa has never made a big move because she is too dumb to know how.

Actually I think they're great. There isn't a clear winner and it could go either way. There's a sense of unpridictability in crapshoots and lord knows this show needs unpredictability.

That's because you don't care at all about competition.
So because I want to see something different that means I don't care about competition? Wow.
If I want to watch someone win The Challenge, I want him/her to win because he/she is the best competitor at all, not only in an athletic way, but also in a smart way... To me, the best daily missions are the trivia ones, not only because they're the most funny, but also because we get to see something else besides "Who is the one that runs the fastest" or "Who can stand still the longest 200 ft. over water". Take the case of Free Agents, in the trivia game the winners were Devyn and Zach, we get to see other people win besides Laurel, Cara Maria, CT, Jhonny, etc. I get that for many people these are not the most entertaining challenges, but to me, they're necessary, since we're looking for the best competitor overall.
You know everyone ignores what you say about Bananas because at this point everyone knows you hate him & can't be unbiased towards him.

However even Crapshoots are competition and it balance out the competition and the franchise got recognized because of some challenges (with your favorite RW/RW/FM/AYTO people) were just ridiculous to watch and trivia challenges doesn't really have to do with the challengers being in great shape. So in a way, crapshoots exists in every competition show and are there just for the comical relief which every show should have.

I'm all for ridiculous missions but eliminations are wear I draw the line. The whoke making it fair thing isn't needed life isn't fair, someone will always be better than you at something.
I want to see the better competitor win not someone who got lucky.
Crapshoots can very entertaining, as we saw with Sarah G. on The Gauntlet and Katie on The Inferno.
I think people tend to forget that this show is just that, a reality show. It is definitely NOT the "fifth major sport" or any of that dumb shit. In order for it to be that, they'll need to take away the house in its entirety, the social dynamics & all of the challengers would need to be elite.
But since they haven't done that (& will never do that), then they need to do some tweaking. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the physical eliminations but the same people making it to the end with no type of challenge or difficulty whatsoever is not entertaining. That's manifested in the declining ratings.

If you make ridiculous mission than you should not stop when it comes to elimination rounds.
Sometimes in life, the strongest / best competitor (in terms of best shape) doesn't always win, sometimes it's the lucky one and sometimes the one who adaptes the best giving the circumstances. For me, that was/is/will always be part of a competition show and life that isn't unfair, especially on the Challenge.
I feel like I didn't see a lot of elimination rounds where you need your brain and were strategy was the key lately (in the beginning even the elimination rounds were pretty ridiculous), it was just who was stronger or had more gas in the tank and imo unfortunatly that took away a lot of unpredictability/fun of the series and was probably the reason why always the same guys made it far. How about you create more elimination rounds where you award those who are smarter than average? or those that get the best strategy giving the task? That hasn't something to do with slapping those who are in better shape, it has something to do with which competitor is better in eating cookies and drinking milk? as ridiculous as this sounds.

PREACH THE TRUTH!!! So many people here treat this show like it's some legit sports competition that should mirror. It's a **** Reality TV show that's designed to entertain. It's NOT sports. If it were why do they cast peoplewho aren't good competitors like Jasmine? Preston? Devyn? Issac? Katie? Casey? Why do they live in a beautiful house? Why are their social politics? That's not how real sports work. This is a **** game show. Nothing more nothing less.
And I agree about Crapshoots. I like physical eliminations too but there not every **** elimination needs to be that. There needs to be some variety. Seasons 2 did this beautifully by having 4 completly different eliminations and not allowing the cast to choose the same one in back to back rounds. This is something that needs to be done again IMO.

The promos for Exes II make it seem like we'll be getting some interesting eliminations as well. I love a variety!
I wish we could see more eliminations like Don't Toss Your Cookies. I would be a ************* champ at that!
I think this episode's elimination was a great example of an elimination that doesn't have to be completely about size NOR a crapshoot. It had a mix of everything, and anything could have happened if it wasn't done right (example being Jessica falling back). There was also that suspense factor too.

I'm not saying to not have mental or endurance eliminations.
I'm saying I don't want to see any stupid **** like infernos. Its not fun to watch it's just lame.
I think this episode's elimination was a great example of an elimination that doesn't have to be completely about size NOR a crapshoot. It had a mix of everything, and anything could have happened if it wasn't done right (example being Jessica falling back). There was also that suspense factor too.
Sure was.I actually really liked it. I was on the edge of my seat hoping that Dustin/Jessica would win it..But then Jessica ****** it all up. And the thing about it was both teams had a legit shot and it could've went either way. Those are the types of eliminations I like to see.
Even if production screwed that up people shouldn't fault Bananas for that. He only did what he was supposed to do to get the win.
Crapshoots aren't entertaining or good for competition. They are pointless and horrible to watch.
Why punish people for being in great shape....
I do get your point! It was obvious who were in alliance and who were the outsiders.
THIS
I can appreciate Wes' gameplay but not Theresa.
Does anyone else think the challenge house is reminicent of the house they were in on the Inferno 1?
I was thinking the same thing. It's my favorite house since the Cutthroat one.
So because I want to see something different that means I don't care about competition? Wow.
And I gotta admit..That Mission was scary as all ****! I would hate to be the guys and have to look down all the time in that challenge!
No you've said before competition doesn't matter much to you...
It was fantastic! The best since Knot So Fast IMO!

They really shouldn't , this isn't hurl.
