What if CT never went home and stayed in the game and Cara Maria replaced Diem, since she manages to squeeze into every Challenge known to man.
They probably wouldn't even do it. How would they even spin those two as exes?
But then again they did have Mike replace Leroy on Rivals 1 and they were friends and they'd do whatever they could to keep CT on the challenge so...
CT could easily have a new partner. Laurel, Mandi, Cooke, Shavoun, Bird
At the moment calls for this challenge went out Laurel/Mandi/Cooke and Bird were done with challenges. Who knows if they change their mind in the future.
It's funny how on the first exes they were the couple that lack communication, and hate each other the most. Now they are probably the number one team with the best communication and zero tension.
Oh my goodness.....that interview....gotta watch it more than once now. She makes Chris so nervous. It's so easy to see their feelings.
I completely disagree that she makes CT nervous. I found him playful in their interview, trying to get a rise out of her. Sort of like an old married couple telling the story of how they met and what happened along the way. Reminded me of the scenes in "When Harry Met Sally" when the couples were telling their stories. They both look so happy and seemed relaxed with each other. Makes me want to watch The Duel again to see how it all started...
I felt he was a bit nervous when he was looking at the ground as she was talking (and moving around), but I agree with what you said, he was trying to get a rise out of her in a playful way too. He seemed a bit nervous around her but not like in a negative way, if that makes any sense. I agree there was a comfortability about their interactions. Can he be comfortable around her and a bit nervous too, lol, I don't know.....whatever it was, you could tell they were both in a good place again and they had an affect on one another. I think that is the main thing I was trying to get at.

Well, we have to agree to disagree. I just don't see the nervousness at all about him. I find their interaction and role play delightful. Even though he's animated, his body language and positioning is all directed towards Diem. Clearly, they are both in great physical shape and are just glowing around each other. Much different than the other team interviews and a much different team interview than Exes 1 when I would wholeheartedly agree that they were nervous around each other. Not this time. I'm so glad that their final Challenge together finds them in this place and I love that he made her laugh at the end of it with one of his classic CT lines "just keep showing up."

I thought it was so cute when he was saying about the "white picket fence". They always talk about that and I think he said it knowing that they had a plan for it.
well ct johnny bannanas wes diem and sarah are not the only vets on exes 2 theres also the new school vets like leroy and theresa jessica and dustin nany zach and joanne knight and jemme because they have alrighty done 3 or more seasons of the challenges
and according to what tj said at guantlet 3 whoever did 3 or more seasons of the challenge are vets and whoever did 3 or less seasons of the challenges are rookies
Im interested to see how CT acts this time. On Free Agents he was pretty much nonexisitant. He, Diem, Johnny, Wes, and Sarah are the only old school vets on this show. I wonder if any of these new kids try to test him?
I'm interested to see the other challenge they are in. So far we know and have seen two; the tightrope challenge and the peanut butter obstacle course. I hope the other one they are in is one where Diem could really sow off how bad *** she was such as something with endurance. And i hope they won at least one of them. It would be nice to see them win together for a final time...

In the intro of the season, you can see that they are also participating in the "Kissing" course challenge.
I think the kissing course, peanut butter, and one where they are unscrewing something (i.e where guys look like they are playing with ***** and girls like they are messing downstairs) are all part of the obstacle course. So that leaves two challenges for sure and i remember reading somewhere that she is in three episodes so she may leave the beginning of third before the third misssion.
oh yes I may have misinterpreted that. They said she would be in 3 episodes which does not exactly mean 3 challenges...so maybe she is only in the 2 that have been shown
They both look good in the video, and happy. Watching that it's so hard to believe that she would be dead in less than 4 months. They were pretty cute together there though. Reading this post, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ring she was wearing on her ring finger. I wouldn't have noticed it, except that she kept playing with it. It's probably just whatever ring she decided to wear that day, and it doesn't mean anything, but I just thought people would speculate anyway! lol.
Diem looked so gorgeous in their scene. You would have never thought she was sick looking at her.
CT LOOKED FINE!!!!!!
Yes I thought the same thing about CT looking fine as all get out, not to take anything away from Diem because she looked great as well. Man they would have made some gorgeous babies together. I hope the 3 eps Diem is in does not count ex-baggage.

I don't think (hope) so, they didn't even actual relevant footage of her in ex-baggage. I wish they could've edited her into more episodes tho ;(

Me too! Man I miss her something bad and I never even met her. I feel like I still want to do something more than what I have done. I will probably make another donation to MedGift. I hope we hear from Chris again sometime next year after he has had time to heal more. What info we have gotten so far has made me feel better, to know he is doing well and is with family and friends.
That is heartbreaking especially since if she got the chance to stay she probably would have won the whole thing and you can tell CT really wanted that too.
Diem never actually won the challenge but she really is the true winner of the challenge.
I think that line about everybody being tired of hearing her talking about cancer and her being tired of living with it was a nice little **** you to the people that had stuff to say about her last season.
I can understand being exasperated with the constant stuff with CT being forced on the viewers but if anything I want MORE of seeing how Diem deals with having cancer as that is likely pretty inspirational to people who have dealt/are dealing/will deal with it one day. On Rivals 2 there wasn't nearly enough about it...the girl was taking hormone shots on the daily and they edited her medical needs as just her being a psycho ex-girlfriend. She did and said some things that challenge that were a little iffy, but BMP really did drive the bus over her with their editing...they could've mitigated some of that.
I also don't recall her even mentioning her cancer on Gauntlet 3, Duel 2, the Ruins, or Exes (aside from the "how did you and CT get together thing). She beat it twice and dealt with it three times...she can talk about it as much as she wants.
The ending of last night's episode was heartbreaking to watch. It was awesome seeing them in the challenge and how great they get along. You can really see how much they love each other when they look at each other.
The preview for next week looks really sad. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions until I see the episode but it appears CT is arguing with production to get him help for Diem. I hope that is not that the case, especially with her history.
RIP Diem. What an amazing, beautiful, strong and inspiring woman.
I watched the podcast from last nights show and Mark was on there and he was saying that a lot of time production has no clue what to do in certain situations so they ask the cast what to do. They didn't know what to do during the CT/Adam fight I guess and the cast was like um hello are you going to do something because CT is about to murder Adam. Mark also mentioned that at night, which is appears is the time the Diem thing really goes down because it is dark when CT is yelling at production, the crew that is with them are like class B not really sure what to do people whereas during the day it is the main and top people with the cast so they know how to react better. Plus who knows if they knew her Cancer was back. Like mentioned they thought she was having problems because of the Peanut Butter. Mark also mentioned that the produces cater to Diem because she has a strict diet on what she can eat so she has food just for her which means it gave them more reason to think the Peanut Butter upset her stomach. Lastly Simone said that where the house was located was really remote like they would need to fly into the actually city of Panama and then most of the time you would need to stay in the City of Panama for the night because the flights would not leave from Panama as often as you would think.

That actually explains why in the first episode they had to wake up so early in the morning to get to their destination. It seemed far as hell.

Production and the rest of the cast may not have known but CT and Diem knew. Diem did an interview with her friend Alicia for E! News where she stated that she knew before she went to the challenge. There was also an article published after Diem passed where it was revealed Diem was rediagnosed in early July.
In the preview for next's week episode, when CT is yelling at production, you can clearly hear him say, "You have no ****** idea what's going on!" and "Your dealing with someone's ****** life!" It's obvious that he knew as well. He wouldnt have said that if he didnt know something. I believe initally they thought it was a peanut butter reaction but, once the pain did not subside and lasted for more than a few day, what was really going on became evident.

Of course he could have but I think it came down to if CT wanted a new partner. And obviously in this situation he didnt...

Can anyone make out what Diem mouthes at :41 seconds? I'm not too great at reading lips and can't figure it out. Thanks!
