I don't think CJ is as good as everyone thinks he is. He almost beat Zach, I get that, he was the biggest guy there and CJ was practically holding his own against Zach in that entire elimination, but he isn't God because of it. Also, he's been on a whole two challenges. I don't see anything to swoon over.
The cast being " fresh " wasn't a problem for seasons imo, the cast being weak was.
But how could they predict that without seeing how it plays out first? There's no way to predict how the noobie teams will compete up against one another. Sometimes plans don't work out the way as planned, but I still enjoyed the season as a whole.
They knew the cast would be weak, they had big easy, Danny ,melinda and Jasmine. If they seriously thought people like Devyn and Sam would be athletic then they are idiots. They made athletic people like Ashlee, Leroy &?and Cooke alternates. Ashlee is the only one from Nola who has any athletic ability.
You really think they cast people based on them being athletic or not? What are you smoking and where can I get it?
I didn't say that, I was responding to timsters's claim that they couldn't have known it was a weak cast which is bullshit
If you think about it I think they purposely gave each team an anchor to even things out. Danny and Melinda have never been terrible but their anchor was Lacey. Big Easy was Fresh Meats anchor, Jasmine was Cancuns, Devyn was Brooklyns and Sam was San Diegos. That's probably why Ashlee nor Cooke were chosen because imagine if Cooke was on the Las Vegas team instead of Trishelle? The one thing they probably didn't expect was the Rookie Revolution and were probably annoyed when fan favorites like Wes and Camila were sent home early.
IMO that's stupid, having everything fair is fine on paper but it was painful to watch for anyone who values completion. The final was just horrible, it was so annoying to see every team slowed down by a weak link.
So what would you prefer? One strong team just steamroll through everyone and/or allowed to get to the end and win? Because that's what we were getting prior to seasons. That's a hell of alot more painful to watch.
Well I mean Seasons wasn't much different from any other season in how the dominant alliance got what they wanted and weren't even smart enough to take a goat in Easy to a final. The only opposition that got far was Brooklyn and that always happens (Jasmine/Jonna, Cara/Cooke, Emily/Ty). The only reason you likely enjoyed Seasons more was the cast but let's not act like it was some crazy, unpredictable season.
Um they did do that..What the hell do you think Devyn was?
And I liked Seasons more for just cast..The Drama was good. The missions weren't so damn strenious, and I liked the Eliminations and The Idea of having 4 people represent a team as opposed to 2 is awesome too. Seasons had so much going for it.
Yeah and Devyn was on Brooklyn which I just mentioned soooo? Idk how much better the drama is when the people are just as unlikable as JEK were with Frank and Zach, I mean JEK have never degraded someone's family member into a Challenge argument. Rivals 1 was the only season with really bad missions imo. Seasons 2 had a lot of potential, but we get a pretty bad result with SD2 running things. I was over the new cast by episode 5 when it hit me how unlikable the alliance was aside from Cancun qnd they weren't even proven competitors to boot. Ugh
Devyn was kept in the game because San Diego knew that Devyn would slow Brooklyn down and she did exactly that. Devyn was their goat, they didn't need Eric. Plus as been stated all 3 teams had goats anyways.
And honestly I don't think Frank/Zach were all that bad..Well not as bad JEK. Frank did say some shitty things but he doesn't have rape allegations over his head like JEK do(well..Evan and Kenny do at least) That alone trumps any hurtful words he said. And I wasn't too keen on them winning either..But that's only because I was rooting for Vegas and Brooklyn. And besides..Bad outcomes are nothing new with this show. I mean so many of these challenes has had shitty winners so it's like whatever to me.
Devyn being kept around wasn't intentional lol. Devyn went in and would have went home had Easy not decided to quit. Brooklyn went in three times and Devyn was just lucky things went how fhey did. Key word: allegations. I mean that's just the tip of his vileness....he's belittled females calling then fat,*******, ***** and even unnecessarily pushed Sam when they were clearly winning already.
It wasn't intentional then but it was intentional towards the end of the game. And JEK disrespected women too but I don't see you complaining about that.
2) everyone but the day's winner took part in the draw.
This.
eggzacklee. It seemed like this was the format and then all of a sudden they were like jk only a certain about of losers will go into the draw.
I thought that was dumb LIke KVM said. They should've made EVERYONE that didn't win that day's challenge eligible to be picked to go into the elimination. I didn't like how only certain people were safe completly from the Draw basically.
Other than BOTS, I haven't really found Frank annoying. I think his behavior is extremely funny, actually. The guy instigates fights and starts crying afterwards, *****.
I agree to an extent about Sequels There are times when the the second season pales to the first(Battle of the Sexes/Rivals/The Duel) But there are alot of times when the sequels are just as good if not better than the first. Both 2nd seasons of the Gauntlet and Inferno were excellent and are some of the best challenges ever produced(but both 3rd iterations were horrible). The Second Battle of Seasons was just as good as The First despite being in different eras of this show. And the 2nd Battle of the Exes..Well that remains to be seen. So I'm kinda 50/50 on it.
And yes CJ should've won that Arena. I thought him and Jasmine losing that was bullshit.
I don't think CJ is as good as everyone thinks he is. I agree. Plus on one of his two challenges he was kind of bad.
Seasons he was good but there weren't any top tier guys there. Even those who are historically good competitors didn't really give a shit and put forth their best effort (Alton) or got sent home on nonsense (Wes - I hate him, but make a 200+ pound guy and a 135 pound guy run at each other and it's going to happen...and Wes still almost beat him). And apart from the first day challenge where he was great, I don't really recall any standout performances on that show (day challenges only - he was great against Zach and shouldn't have been sent home on that).
It's been a while since I've seen it, but if I remember correctly Cancun was actually wining more often than San Diego and CJ was basically their leader and strongest team member.
And TBH, other then him, I felt Cancun was a pretty weak team which made their wins and his performance even more impressive.

I don't think Cancun was a weak team at all. Jonna has always done good in the daily missions and even though Derek and Jasmine aren't the best competitors, they don't suck at all. Unfortunately their downfall is eliminations because of their size.

I think Derek is pretty underrated. I wouldn't mind seeing him in an individual format or on another large team challenge.

Agreed...I still think Jonna & Derek win that final if they beat Frank & Ashley
Agreed^ Cancun easily had the best communication as well given how they all actually got along while every other team had issues there (Melinda/Danny, Easy/his team, Knight/Jemmye, STT basically being two pairs, Jd/Devyn, Dustin/Trishelle, Nany/Alton, lol does SD need an example?).

Oh for sure, there's no way in hell Zach and Sam are winning that final, and I don't see the other two teams beating them.
Cancun was definitely the best team. CJ was the leader and is a very good competitor. Jonna is good and smart. Derek is underrated. Even though I dislike Jasmine, she is actually a decent competitor for her size. She has never performed horribly. Cancun worked the best together because their season has always been close. Communication is key and they had that down. I really wish Cancun won it all. I think they deserved it.
I still am confused about why they announced it was a final 3 season, but at the F4 announced the it was the final elimination. So if Jonna/Derek happened to win would the final have 4 teams or would they add an extra round? That was messy. They'd probably eliminate a team mid-way into the final like Rivals 2.

It was always going to be a 10 person final. Whether that meant 5 pairs, 1 team of 4 and 3 pairs, or 2 teams of 4 and 1 pair (like we ended up with).
Had more teams made it to the final, 4th place would have gotten $10,000 and 5th $0.
Loving all this Team Cancun love! I too though that they were a strong team. They may not be the best indivitually but as a team they had their shit together and made it work which was more than you can say for pretty much every other team there.
I also think that had Derek/Jonna made it to the end they win. I also think that if Vegas had their whole team at the end they would've won too.
That is true. Jasmine has never realy had a terrible performance on missions Except on Rivals 2. But her major weakness as we all know will be eliminations involving strength/size.

And of all people she's had to face the beast Laurel in a pure physical elimination round TWICE once with Cara Maria, Aneesa & Rachel in a physical/endurance elimination round, Sam in a physical elimination round.
The only time Jasmine had a legit chance at winning an elimination round was in Rivals 2 against Camilla & Jemmye. She was set up to lose against Sarah/Katelyn but she can thank Jonna for that one. She's such a victim and she's never had to face weak competitors, not once. It's just so crazy because people rank Camila, Sarah, Laurel, Cara Maria, Rachel all as some of the best females on the show. Aneesa is the elimination queen. She's had to face pretty much every girl you don't wanna face except Emily & Evelyn.

That girl has no luck on these shows lmao.
that round against Aneesa and Rachel was only endurance. Not physical by any means. Plus she and even Tyrie were able to outlast Aneesa. However Rachel proved to be a beast.

Well they had to jump & duck so that's part physical. Unless by physical you mean hands on.
p.s. X-banded is one of the most boring elimination games ever. It looks like it's back again for Exes 2, if they were to recycle eliminations from Exes 1 they should've used X Marks the Spot.

Then if thats the case endurance and physical wouldnt be a seperate category. But in the Challenges when the producers mention or categorize a physical mission they mean a hands on, strength mission/elimination that involves contact.

I think Dustin/Nany would have won it all too. That would have been AMAZING.
I wish Nany would have been brought in to replace Dustin on Battle of the Exes.
Was I the only one who hoped when Aneesa cut her lip on exes that she'd be replaced by Jenn lol.
Yep!!!!
Aneesa is the lesser of 2 evils IMO
I also think Dustin said he wouldn't do the season with Cooke (which is stupid btw), so they decided to merge the teams.
Dustin actually dropped out because of Cooke. They merged the teams to get Dustin back on the cast.
He is so pathetic, I'm sure they would have won if Cooke was there.
