I'm apart of that group as well lol. I mean just looking from The Duel to now, what exactly has Johnny done to warrant him now being on his 11th challenge? I mean you know why people like Coral, Beth, Tonya, Katie, Veronica, CT, Abe, etc. hell even Darrell has had some blowups & you know he's a hothead & plays no games with people. With Johnny it's just the whole Bananas schtick and...other people. If He's pretty been riding The Island & Cutthroat Backpack moments & will until the wheels fall off unfortunately.
Johnny's greatest moment was sending in a written complaint to both MTV & BMP about not even receiving an availability call for BOTSeasons. That unjustifiable sense of entitlement should earned him a spot on The Challenge blacklist, and allowed the real faces of the franchise a chance to make their presence known once again to this new crowd of viewers.
Lmao some straight loser shit. with all the money he's won you would think he would have some other ventures outside of the challenges besides bobbleheads.
It's just hilarious that the "face" of the show now was always the 3rd/4th wheel in his group & was wasn't a factor at all in his first 3 challenges (if only to get a confessional complaining about Tyler or Susie & Cara - speaking of which, the latter really needs to come back even if Susie has to be with her. They got under his skin like no other). It's the equivalent of making Austin Danny or Ms. Fail a top leader lol you're just like "oh....ok?"
Yep. He really think that he's entitled to be on every challenge? I mean at that point the guy won 4 ******* challenges. I would think he would've done something with that money to make it so he wouldn't have to keep doing challenges. I would've blacklisted his *** right there if I were BMP and made some changes regarding casting moving forward.
But yeah..Backpack being the face of this show is a ******* joke. Hell I would take it a step further and say he's pretty much useless now. No need for him to keep coming back. Same with Wes and CT.
Very true. CT's biggest schtick was with his romance with the late Diem. (May she rest in peace.) From what I heard, Wes is favored because he would listen and do what BMP tells him to do. I don't mind him, since he doesn't appear consectuively, and when he does, he leaves half way through the show.
The cast being " fresh " wasn't a problem for seasons imo, the cast being weak was.
But how could they predict that without seeing how it plays out first? There's no way to predict how the noobie teams will compete up against one another. Sometimes plans don't work out the way as planned, but I still enjoyed the season as a whole.
They knew the cast would be weak, they had big easy, Danny ,melinda and Jasmine. If they seriously thought people like Devyn and Sam would be athletic then they are idiots. They made athletic people like Ashlee, Leroy &?and Cooke alternates. Ashlee is the only one from Nola who has any athletic ability.
You really think they cast people based on them being athletic or not? What are you smoking and where can I get it?
I didn't say that, I was responding to timsters's claim that they couldn't have known it was a weak cast which is bullshit
If you think about it I think they purposely gave each team an anchor to even things out. Danny and Melinda have never been terrible but their anchor was Lacey. Big Easy was Fresh Meats anchor, Jasmine was Cancuns, Devyn was Brooklyns and Sam was San Diegos. That's probably why Ashlee nor Cooke were chosen because imagine if Cooke was on the Las Vegas team instead of Trishelle? The one thing they probably didn't expect was the Rookie Revolution and were probably annoyed when fan favorites like Wes and Camila were sent home early.
IMO that's stupid, having everything fair is fine on paper but it was painful to watch for anyone who values completion. The final was just horrible, it was so annoying to see every team slowed down by a weak link.

So what would you prefer? One strong team just steamroll through everyone and/or allowed to get to the end and win? Because that's what we were getting prior to seasons. That's a hell of alot more painful to watch.

Well I mean Seasons wasn't much different from any other season in how the dominant alliance got what they wanted and weren't even smart enough to take a goat in Easy to a final. The only opposition that got far was Brooklyn and that always happens (Jasmine/Jonna, Cara/Cooke, Emily/Ty). The only reason you likely enjoyed Seasons more was the cast but let's not act like it was some crazy, unpredictable season.

Some eliminations were unpredictable and very suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat for CJ vs Zach. CJ was so robbed, if he would've won that, Cancun would've won the whole durn season.
Production put their heart and soul into Free Agents. They probably put in the most effort ever than they have than any season of the show.
I loved the aftershows where they interviewed random contestants from that season and brought back old vets. - Plus the behind the scenes videos after eliminations were awesome!
I loved the aftershow where they brought back the eliminated players to compete against each other. (This probably gave them them the idea to do the Ex-ile twist this season).
The rock, paper, scissors tournament was pretty cool pre-season.
The daily missions were some of the best missions they've EVER had on the show. Not one of them bored me and they finally didn't do a million height over water missions like they tend to do on partner seasons.
I absolutely enjoyed the final elimination game being a puzzle. We've already seen CT & Johnny in a physical elimination game twice, doesn't have to happen every. single. time. It was a unique game and it was very suspenseful to watch plus the scenery was absolutely breath taking.
The final challenge had the most beautiful scenery i've ever seen.

It's a shame it got the ratings it got because it was one of the best seasons in a while. The sad truth is that people prefer seeing the same shit over and over again instead of something new and fresh.

Idk how much better the drama is when the people are just as unlikable as JEK were with Frank and Zach, I mean JEK have never degraded someone's family member into a Challenge argument. Rivals 1 was the only season with really bad missions imo. Seasons 2 had a lot of potential, but we get a pretty bad result with SD2 running things. I was over the new cast by episode 5 when it hit me how unlikable the alliance was aside from Cancun qnd they weren't even proven competitors to boot. Ugh

Free Agents was definetly a good season..The format was great(although it did have some issues) My only thing with it is the cast..The Format wasn't limiting so they could've gotten anyone they wanted. They could've added some more newer players more surprises and such...And the fact that only certain people could be in the draw made no sense to me..But other than that it was great. I hope that we get Free Agents 2 someday.
Was FA really that good? I only remember like half of it which isn't a good sign lol. Cutthroat still remains my favorite modern season with Rivals as a close second.

Devyn was kept in the game because San Diego knew that Devyn would slow Brooklyn down and she did exactly that. Devyn was their goat, they didn't need Eric. Plus as been stated all 3 teams had goats anyways.
And honestly I don't think Frank/Zach were all that bad..Well not as bad JEK. Frank did say some shitty things but he doesn't have rape allegations over his head like JEK do(well..Evan and Kenny do at least) That alone trumps any hurtful words he said. And I wasn't too keen on them winning either..But that's only because I was rooting for Vegas and Brooklyn. And besides..Bad outcomes are nothing new with this show. I mean so many of these challenes has had shitty winners so it's like whatever to me.

Yeah, Free Agents was a great season for me. Definitely underrated IMO with the ratings it got.
It had the best daily missions since Cutthroat, and I loved how the missions were a mix of team/pair/individual (although I would have liked 1 or 2 more individual missions, but it's no big issue)
I'm the type of viewer that likes surprises (an underrated entertainment factor imo), and the draw definitely had its surprises. (the eliminations are one of my favorite things about the show tbh)
Like DA said, the cast could have been more open, since there were no limitations to it. Other than that, I thought it, along with Cutthroat, were my favorites from this current breed of seasons.
A few tweaks to the format, and a more diverse cast, and I would love to see Free Agents 2 happen. (along with Cutthroat 2, or some three-team format)
The cast being " fresh " wasn't a problem for seasons imo, the cast being weak was.

Um they did do that..What the hell do you think Devyn was?
And I liked Seasons more for just cast..The Drama was good. The missions weren't so damn strenious, and I liked the Eliminations and The Idea of having 4 people represent a team as opposed to 2 is awesome too. Seasons had so much going for it.
Yeah and Devyn was on Brooklyn which I just mentioned soooo? Idk how much better the drama is when the people are just as unlikable as JEK were with Frank and Zach, I mean JEK have never degraded someone's family member into a Challenge argument. Rivals 1 was the only season with really bad missions imo. Seasons 2 had a lot of potential, but we get a pretty bad result with SD2 running things. I was over the new cast by episode 5 when it hit me how unlikable the alliance was aside from Cancun qnd they weren't even proven competitors to boot. Ugh
Devyn being kept around wasn't intentional lol. Devyn went in and would have went home had Easy not decided to quit. Brooklyn went in three times and Devyn was just lucky things went how fhey did.
Key word: allegations. I mean that's just the tip of his vileness....he's belittled females calling then fat,*******, ***** and even unnecessarily pushed Sam when they were clearly winning already.
Of the Seasons sense the Island:
Best eliminations: Ruins
Best missions: Cutthroat/Seasons 2
Best Final: Battle of the Exes/Free Agents
Also i think Cutthroat would have been the perfect challenge if the Grey Team won. The red team can go f*** themselves except for Tyler.
I actually hate same gender teams. Well if they're gonna do that, they need to do 2 eliminations per episode. I hate boy and girl elimination weeks trading off.
Very true. CT's biggest schtick was with his romance with the late Diem. (May she rest in peace.) From what I heard, Wes is favored because he would listen and do what BMP tells him to do. I don't mind him, since he doesn't appear consectuively, and when he does, he leaves half way through the show.

I don't mind CT at all, I legit lose the urge to continue watching when he gets sent home.

I'd rather see a few strong teams like on rivals and exes they had a bunch of strong teams.
Every team in the final had a " goat" just look at Sam Devyn & Trashelle......
It's a shame it got the ratings it got because it was one of the best seasons in a while. The sad truth is that people prefer seeing the same shit over and over again instead of something new and fresh.
I love your comments. PREACH PASTORRRRRR!

I love you timster and I love how you don't back down from an argument. People get mad for not reason.
For me it's the best season since Cutthroat, with Seasons close behind.

Cutthroat was great. Awesome cast, some of the best missions, I loved it!
It's sad to think that if Cutthroat 2 ever happens that it's going to get some kind of theme slapped on it.
Semi-unpopular opinion:
Co-ed Rivals should NEVER happen. Nor should another iteration of Rivals in general.
Rivals was a one-hit wonder. Sequels are unnecessary because they will never recapture the same excitement and success.
Devyn being kept around wasn't intentional lol. Devyn went in and would have went home had Easy not decided to quit. Brooklyn went in three times and Devyn was just lucky things went how fhey did.

I liked the draw on Free Agents but I would like it better if:
1) We got to see them draw lots to decide what order they went in and
2) everyone but the day's winner took part in the draw.
That would be the ultimate!
This.
And everyone that didn't win should have been able to be nominated. The rules were just idiotic.
So, I just finished re-watching Fresh Meat 2 and noticed some things I had forgotton:
1) After try-outs, Cara Maria (not Laurel) was in first place as the strongest female
2) In a wrestling match, Evelyn took down Laurel quickly and decisively.
Just found these interesting and thought I'd share.

eggzacklee. It seemed like this was the format and then all of a sudden they were like jk only a certain about of losers will go into the draw.
It was so annoying. The Draw tables had plenty of room to fit the exact amount of cards. It really diluted what should have been a great format IMO.
I actually hate same gender teams. Well if they're gonna do that, they need to do 2 eliminations per episode. I hate boy and girl elimination weeks trading off.
