Has anybody watched this show? It's actually pretty good and very similar to the challenge. This season is currently airing on CMT and is 3 episodes in. The challenges aren't extreme but the eliminations are good. The format for this season is two person(guy/girl) pairs with the winning team being safe and having the power to send a team to the elimination round. Worst performing team also gets sent into the elimination. Best part of the elimination is that they are individual so you could end up having a new partner if you win and your original partner loses(a concept I hope gets incorporated into the challenge soon).

Yeah it's crazy I discovered this season a few days ago and thought about posting a thread. I'm only 2 episodes in though and then I randomly stopped a few days ago.
It's pretty decent, it's just a little too over-the-top with the constant drinking and partying 24/7. If fans on here complain about people partying too much on The Challenge or RW, then they've seen nothing yet.
Ok, so I just finished watching episodes 1-3. It's an uhh... interesting show...
First Impressions watching the first 15 minutes: Holy shit. These are the most redneck, frat boy, alcohol-inducing toolbags I've ever seen in my life. LOL! This is coming from a guy who likes to party, too. The girls are pretty hot.

Ok, so the competition is probably the only great thing about this show (specifically, the eliminations), with the strategizing coming in a distant second (there hasn't been much to it yet, but it's better than everything else). To all those out there who like watching drama and people partying and drinking the most, this show will make you appreciate competition. (well actually, the drama's been okay. But the drinking... how...)
So at first, I'm rooting for Riley and Margaret. Well, mainly Riley. They are such a good team. The majority of the others suck and don't take this game seriously.
The Corey vs Riley elimination in episode 2. Wow that was close. I was rooting for Riley, but Corey pulled through barely. Watching Margaret go crazy after made me feel a bit sad for her, but then I noticed how clingy and crazy she was. Corey seems like a good dude though! He's not a toolbag like most of the other guys, and is there to compete. He'll be a good teammate.
I was glad Jeremy won his elimination since he reminds me of me looks-wise. It's too bad he's practically invisible since he's pretty good. I was kinda hoping Hali would have won too, 'cause she's hot and worked well with Jeremy. It's good though, Shelby's a better competitor.
I wish they didn't focus on certain people though. I forgot some of the others even existed on this show until their confessional randomly came up. This might be a good thing though. Focus on the competitors.
Cowboy is the only toolbag there that's actually kinda funny. He reminds me of one of my friends I would party with.
And lastly... I hope they get rid of the idiots soon. They'll most likely get last place anyways.

So, who is everyone rooting for? For the guys I'm rooting for Corey, Jeremy, and Cody. For the girls I'm rooting for... well, I don't know. I want to say Margaret because she's the underdog villain everyone hates. Maybe Shelby.

Finally someone created a thread for this I actually proposed the idea of you guys checking the show out a little before the premiere, anyways really interesting show its produced by the people who created the "Of Love"/I Love Money shows so I wasnt really shocked that it was interesting
For the girls, I'm rooting for Shelby. Even though she has been sucking during the challenges, she has been killing it in the eliminations. For the guys, I like Hunter and also Cody. My fav elimination so far is def the Corey vs Riley. Cody got lucky that Riley went home or he would have been ******. I agree that they focus too much on certain cast members. After 3 episodes, I only know 1/3 of the cast.
Isn't this season a lot closer to the Challenge as opposed to Survivor? They incorporated an elimination round, correct?
I haven't seen previous seasons, but I would say this season is almost exactly like a Challenge. Yeah, there's elimination rounds. Winning guy/winning girl become the new team. (or same team)
Sweet, looks like I'm jumping ship once Real World/Challenge gets cancelled.
Jump on Survivor too if you want a show that will remain consistent for a long, long time.
Ive seen clips of other seasons and it looks more survivor like so yea this season a lot more to the challenge.
I fully support this post. I jumped on the Survivor bandwagon like a year ago and it's the best decision I've ever made.
This looks pretty cool, I love the idea of individual eliminations.
No previous seasons didnt have a house/they actually competed on a actual island where they slept Survivor style and played comps, and yeah this season is definitley more Challenge-esque
I want Shelby to win for the girls. For the guys I like Jermey and Corey. By looking at the promos it look like the final 3 teams may be jermey/shelby, tank d/jorden and its hard to say the other team cause it look like margret/corey and cody/nicole might go against each other

That elimination was close for both sides.
I like how everyone hates Margaret, even most of the guys. It only makes me want to root for her even more, because she can at least compete (despite her performance in this episode) and can take some of these girls out, like she said. Not gonna lie, it would be kinda boring if she were gone.
i heard about this show before but i didnt know what it was really about till i read the info on wikipedia and on the cmt web site but the only the thing i know about this show was that steve austin was the host
and so far from what i red about neck island it looks sick why because its like big brother survivor and of course mtv the challenge
and from what i read about season 4 its ever more better than ever because its just like the challenge lol
Wow super surprised with Cowboy winning. That was a nice elimination challenge cause it required speed and strategy on how you tied your ropes. Even though I'm not a Margaret fan, she is a great villain for this show. Does anyone feel like Tank D and Jorden should have been automatically in the pit since they didn't complete the challenge? Seeing the next challenge, my guess is Katie and Parigi(fat guy) get last and Cody and Nicole get thrown into the pit.
This week's episode was really good. Dat pit tho. Next week's episode looks even better.
This season started off so silly, but you can tell the game is picking up more now that there are less players. I wonder how they are going to end this. Is there going to be some "final"? That'd be cool if it was an obstacle course like the Brokenskull Challenge, since both shows are hosted by Steve Austin.
I'm loving me some Margaret.
I find it hilarious that i'm still saying "who is that" each episode.. they need to lessen up on the Cody confessionals. I also thought the mission is something perfect for a partner season of The Challenge.
I agree that that game is picking up now that most of the weak/filler people have been kicked off. I'm glad Hunter won that elimination and hopefully he and Katie can become a power team to rival Cody & Nicole. It looks like Josh is going to be are target next episode since most of the girls don't like that he hangs with Margaret.
Last season, they had the Final 3 take part in an obstacle course-type final but not nearly as brutal as the "Skull Buster" on Broken Skull Challenge (that one's exhausting just watching it on TV!) It didn't matter that the Final 3 was a mixture of guys and girls, they ran the same course. Last season a woman won the final. But since they're doing partners this season instead of teams or individuals, I don't know how that will work. My guess is that toward the end, they'll break up the partnerships and have everyone go it alone.
I love this show. I don't like the over-the-top drinking because it becomes very boring and predictable but I really love the physical challenges they do and some look pretty difficult and painful (like when Jorden had to be taken away in an ambulance). My pick for the Final 3 are Margaret (hated her in the 1st episode but she's really grown on me), Cody (don't like him personally but he's a great competitor), and Shelby (not my favorite either but she's also a really good competitor).
Watched the first episode to see what all the fuss is about. Of course there is someone from my hometown on this show. I'm so embarrassed smh but I see they have a couple Easys on this show as well lmao
Has anyone caught up with episode 7 yet? I can't believe we're down to the final five already. I'm glad my early-season picks Margaret, Cody, Red, and Jeremy (they really need to show more of him) are still there. I'm really curious what the "final" is going to be like, considering I haven't watched past seasons.
By the way, that rope elimination, while it doesn't look like it, is probably the most suspenseful elimination this season has to offer IMO. It could be due to the match ups though.
I was devesated to see Margaret gone! I wanted to see her in that Final! The final was good but not as good unlike The Challenge! I would love to see that rope elimination on The Challenge too! Also It would be awesome to see Margaret, Shelby or Katie, Tank D, Josh in A Challenge! (which will never happen in a million years)
So apparently season 5 has been filmed & it's a returnee season, 1/2 returnees (so far all from season 4) & 1/2 newbies. A poster over at SurvivorSucks pulled a PR & found at lot of clues leading to this...
