I was a little shocked that most of you don't really care for Jason, he seems like a real sweet guy.
He's actually super likeable. Idk how some people don't like Nicole and Jason they seem like such good people. I personally love Madison but can see where she's not for everyone.
Violetta's interesting because I love her on twitter and I love that we have some things in common but I didn't love her the other night
I think David Jacoby is right. This was one of the best first episodes for The "new" Real World in a while, you can't deny that, because everybody "got to shine" and had his / her moments, you kept watching and the twist isn't even on it. I'm not saying these people are the best choices, but the episode was a pretty good one.
Done with Real World. Absolute trash. Case closed.
I hope you were not talking in general....
Shishhh....I don't understand all the hate here on this forum lately with everything that MTV does without even saying why it was the "Worst season premiere. Ever." or that "casting team should get fired", but I'm glad we won't read any of your ridiculous, "just throwing out there" comments/gifs on this anymore.
The Real World doesn't work like it used to be, we don't have anymore more topics that could get viewers to watch. Sexual orientation, religion, racism that's done and with the success of Jersey Shore, the whole reality TV business changed. I was able to watch some older seasons of the Real World and I honestly think those older seasons would not draw any better ratings nowadays than what's MTV is currently getting now. (Those topics were so new back in the day that it felt fresh, but watching it now, it doesn't get you that much exciting). So retrospectively those premieres were faaar more boring if you look it nowadays. You have to have some kind of uniqueness and I think Ex-Plosion and Skeletons have that, it's seperate your show from every other reality tv show and I think this episode did a great job with what's in store for the viewers (aka get viewer's attention) which is the main goal of Reality TV now.
but I'm glad we won't read any of your ridiculous, "just throwing out there" comments/gifs on this anymore.
Yup. Definitely should've read your entire post before commenting. I won't make that mistake twice.
My gifs and comments are to elicit laughter, it shouldn't be taken seriously. Ever. Apparently that's not the case. Get enough advocates and I'll gladly ask Bacchus to delete my account if it bothers you, and other members, that much.

I have nothing against funny posts, I believe your post are far better without those gifs honestly, but that's just my opinion. I just hated your post where you threw it out there, how it was the worst ever, like okay, but at least give me a reason to get you. You help nobody if you just say it at that. It just reminded my so much of those youtube comments and I hate YouTube comments.

Sure! I'm glad with have other opinion here. Maybe I just hate gifs like Debut Album hates everybody on the Challenge that didn't do a season of "Road Rules" and "Real World" lol (gush I hate lol, because 99 % you're not laughing out loud)

Before I edited my post, I said that I've been a huge advocate for MTV in the scripted series department, and trying to rebuild their image. Scripted TV is my passion.
I suppose it's just that I've moved on from RW and accepted that character development and start arcs are no longer the focus of the show. A bit of trashiness is fun, some conflict is great, and comedy fantastic, but none of those things should be the center point of it.
I had always wanted to go on RW and not only be comedic, but bring light to a massively overlooked problem that is OCD. The Real World was never meant to become Celebreality (which was meant to be trashy, and I could enjoy it because it never tried to deny that fact) or BGC. Despite being 21 and falling into the 13-24 age demographic MTV targets, I'm at peace knowing that I'm no longer in the "audience" they cater to.
I love you lurker and without your gifs I would just DIE. I'd rather see the images you post over a lot of the shit on this site so please keep doing you! <3

I hope you're getting a hefty check in the mail from all this ************* that's going on. When did we start defending million & billion dollar corporations who give no **** about anybody on this site or anyone else?
Oh we know, which is why the overwhelming majority of the people in the U.S. have forgotten the show exists. Racism, sexual orientation & religion are still very much a reality & still very hot topics, where Jonathan Murray learned otherwise is beyond me. He just prefers these vapid types who offer nothing (like Tony for example) over people with REAL issues then tries to say in so many words that real issues aren't as entertaining to the 12-year olds they're catering to now (which is a big issue in itself).

12 year olds shouldn't be watching someone get head in a confessional. Or a dumb broad saying she's had sex with like 25 people. It's glorifying trashiness.
The Real World was meant to hold itself to a higher standard compared to other reality TV shows. Then again, it's no longer The Real World, nor is it the true story.

Exactly. I know a good bit of us were watching MTV when we were 12 but back then the shows didn't really cater to us. Why they are so hell-bent on sexualizing pre-teens now is sickening.
There are still PLENTY of real issues to be discussed on this show.

I think the classiest moment Tuesday night was Bruno fixing his belt, while Sylvia looks at the camera deciding whether to spit or swallow.
It's ridiculous how hypersexualized it has become. I mean sex happens. That's a fact. But people generally do not go about it the way that it's portrayed on today's screens. When we were little teeny boppers we were watching Ruthie, Frankie, Paula, etc.. Hookups happened, but they weren't the show's center piece.
I could go on forever... point is, the last authentic season was Brooklyn. The last real enjoyable seasons were NOLA & Las Vegas because there were genuine issues that transcended the drama.
