Initially, "IN MEMORIUM" was gong to be a way to honor the Challenge cast members who only did one season and whom we wish would come back to The Challenge and compete again. Due to Diem's passing, I am changing the format of the category to honor her memory, and her contributions and valiant bravery she's gone through while comepeting on The Challenge.

Just like any award show, there's the location, there's the booking, there's all this detailed technical crap that goes into making sure this award show goes off without a hitch.

OK, so I just wanted to do an update as far as "The RW/RR Challenge Awards" goes.
I have a unique list on who should present which category. As far as the ten inductees for Challenge Gods, I feel as if me and JamieFire should split the speeches for them down the middle and I tried to re-phrase some of the category speeches so that anybody can read them and it's just not my opinion. That said, I still have some regular categories I have to write from scratch and if I could get Jamie's help on that, that would be great, because I'm all out of things so say creatively to make each category's speech unique. I asked mostly through Twitter. Those who weren't on Twitter, I messaged them on Facebook. Those who weren't on Twitter or Facebook I skipped altogether. I want to say this desperately: I NEED the moderators of Vevmo to help me out on this. I do not want this to be another project I've taken on to be another failure. If this were to happen for real, it would mean the world to me and to every person who voted, and I'd be very grateful.

The first season of The Challenge I watched was Battle Of The Sexes 1 in 2003, back when I was about 12 or 13.
The Challenge has given us so many moments. I feel like I want to give back to the show that had my support as a viewer for those 11 years I've been watching. Since the idea's inception, I would like to take this idea all the way, or, at least, as far as it can go, but yes, my main goal, now that the voting is over, is to make this a reality; get a certain date (in the near-to-distant future, like possibly in the next couple months) to get everybody physically together, Vevmo posters and Challenge castmembers and officially make this happen. Inside of this award show, this'l be a great opportunity for viewers (and myself) to have, like, a meet-and-greet of sorts, to get to hang out with the Challenge stars.
In off-Vevmo news, Zach said he was down to present [ https://twitter.com/SmadaNave/status/537342007560380416 ] and Sarah, Katie & Devyn all favorited my tweets I wrote to them saying if they could be a part of it, so the spark to do it's there, it's just do I have the wherewithal to fully commit to it. Also, with Knight's recent passing, I'll try to squeeze him in for the IN MEMORIUM section with Diem, but I'll see what I can do. These Challenge losses are really hard to get through right now.

How exactly are you planning to get everybody physically together? You realize reality stars charge an appearance fee for such gigs? Not to mention covering their travel and hotel costs? Have you ever produced any type of event? Do you realize how expensive and complicated it is?

Yeah...I don't think it's wrong to inject a dose of reality. It's nice to dream of something like this happening but I'm sure if you polled a lot of the people who post here, most likely aren't into the idea of flying to some location hosted by a guy we've never met to sit and discuss something we can just discuss here. And to be equally honest, knowing how Zach operates and that his response was just a thumbs up, I wouldn't take that to mean anything at all.
This would be a great idea for something online, or maybe a podcast like Derrick used to do, but the odds of anything physical materializing are slim and none.

If that isn't case though, then it's time to give this dream up and move on to something smaller. Like a blog or podcast. You have a REALLY big personality so maybe you could do well starting a podcast. Getting to know cast members and making something happen from there in the near future. It's not what you know, but who you know.

LWP, I wish I was a secret millionaire. I think what I may have to end up doing is a mental transcript of what the show would've been, and even though that's me ******** out of any MAJOR plans I had, at least I can say I did it... not in the capacity I wanted to, but completed it nonetheless. Like, for the actual category's nominees rolling, I'll have quotes from parts of episodes of seasons to give something of what would've been an actual footage-edited package. That's as far as I can realistically stretch this. As for blogs, I've tried going on tumblr & wordpress, but I never really got the feel or the hang of those blog sites. I'll update as soon as I get everything under control.
UPDATE: I've just finished making all the logos and finishing all of the category speeches for the "MAIN SHOW" Awards, but haven't gotten a chance to have a complete read-through yet. I'm going through some family stuff, so I'm going to be working a little less on this, because I stayed up until half past 3 AM for the past two days, but ultimately, I would like to do a "PRE-SHOW"-type topic where I get everyone excited for the "MAIN SHOW" and reveal four category's winners, and then the next day (or so), I will post a "MAIN SHOW" topic, where you will see (or read) all the hard work and effort I've put into this idea for the last 4 years.
Also, what should the award statue look like? It's the only bit of prep work I have yet to do, but probably will not have the time to get to.
I'd like to plan on making the "PRE-SHOW" and "MAIN SHOW" topics a day or two before the premiere of Exes II, but that's all I got so far.

Yeah...I don't think it's wrong to inject a dose of reality. It's nice to dream of something like this happening but I'm sure if you polled a lot of the people who post here, most likely aren't into the idea of flying to some location hosted by a guy we've never met to sit and discuss something we can just discuss here. And to be equally honest, knowing how Zach operates and that his response was just a thumbs up, I wouldn't take that to mean anything at all.
This would be a great idea for something online, or maybe a podcast like Derrick used to do, but the odds of anything physical materializing are slim and none.
Yeah it's about time some of the members on this forum *****ed slapped this dude back into reality. From whatever fantasy challenge world he was living in currently haha. I am totally kidding EA keep doing you, & maybe your challenge awards will come true.

You guys, maybe this could really happen!!! EAS are you secretly millionaire? Who could afford to fly all of us and the The Challenge cast members to like LA and pay us to present??? Cause if so I'm done!
If that isn't case though, then it's time to give this dream up and move on to something smaller. Like a blog or podcast. You have a REALLY big personality so maybe you could do well starting a podcast. Getting to know cast members and making something happen from there in the near future. It's not what you know, but who you know.

LWP, I wish I was a secret millionaire. I think what I may have to end up doing is a mental transcript of what the show would've been, and even though that's me ******** out of any MAJOR plans I had, at least I can say I did it... not in the capacity I wanted to, but completed it nonetheless. Like, for the actual category's nominees rolling, I'll have quotes from parts of episodes of seasons to give something of what would've been an actual footage-edited package. That's as far as I can realistically stretch this. As for blogs, I've tried going on tumblr & wordpress, but I never really got the feel or the hang of those blog sites. I'll update as soon as I get everything under control.

UPDATE: I've just finished making all the logos and finishing all of the category speeches for the "MAIN SHOW" Awards, but haven't gotten a chance to have a complete read-through yet. I'm going through some family stuff, so I'm going to be working a little less on this, because I stayed up until half past 3 AM for the past two days, but ultimately, I would like to do a "PRE-SHOW"-type topic where I get everyone excited for the "MAIN SHOW" and reveal four category's winners, and then the next day (or so), I will post a "MAIN SHOW" topic, where you will see (or read) all the hard work and effort I've put into this idea for the last 4 years.
Also, what should the award statue look like? It's the only bit of prep work I have yet to do, but probably will not have the time to get to.
I'd like to plan on making the "PRE-SHOW" and "MAIN SHOW" topics a day or two before the premiere of Exes II, but that's all I got so far.
... and again, no, I'm not a secret millionaire.
