Okay I'm assuming now that Diem's family gave them permission to post those pictures but maybe that is a big assumption to make. I don't know. I know Diem wanted information about her condition out there before she passed but there is a fine line between getting that out there and sharing too much. Now if Diem and her family are okay with that, then all good. But I'm assuming they got all the pictures directly from Diem's family and friends so they must be okay with it right.....again, operative word "assuming." I'd like to know who exactly is sharing the pictures with People. If it's Alicia, then all good...but if they are getting the picture from other sources, not good.
I don't know how I feel about People magazine right now. On the one hand I'm grateful they have kept us updated throughout Diem's illness but on the other hand there are boundaries were they need to be sure they are not overreporting, putting to many articles out there, or misreporting information.

Apparently Diem gave them permission. All the pictures say "courtesy of Diem Brown" and it says that it was her wish to share. I am actually starting to realize that everything that was said was all curated and allowed by Diem before she died. I think she controlled the information distribution completely, and her friends/family abided by her wishes (which would also explain the privacy factor in her relationship with CT) of sharing her complete cancer journey right down to the funeral details.
I also would be willing to bet, a lot of her funeral wishes were similiar to her mothers. At least, I know I would want mine that way.

Thanks for that information. Yeah since I'm not looking at all the pictures closely right now because frankly I'm sick and tired of crying....I obviously wouldn't see that it said "courtesy of Diem Brown." I think I'm just skeptical of a lot of magazines in general because it can easily go from they had permission to then they didnt have permission pretty quickly.
mrchunkyexpress is the man. i love4 how he interacts with ct and diem fans. on the picture he posted of ct by himself he is telling people some info on not to believe magazines about ct and diems relationship.

Help!! Over the last couple months I have been watching Battle of the Exes and Rivals 2. It has found me great peace and now MTV has taken it down. IF anyone as links to any websites showing it, please post.
Many have been uploaded on you tube. I think MTV is using deprivation behavioral treatment... they are taking alot of things that feature Diem down... by the time they show their special on her we'll be salivating. I had a feeling they would so I made sure to download my favorite clip - first kiss, pre-editing
I figured - ********
If anyone is interested, Fresh Meat 1 is available here:
Ive been thinking about omething. And please do not take me as morbid but that guy, Mr.ChunkyExprees just posted a photo from inside the Church where Diem's funeral wa held and it looked different to me. I am a Chritian and I have never been to a Catholic church or know what happens during those funerals but, why is everybody standing up? And where is the Priest? At funerals I am familiar with, nobody stands up and the Preacher is at the head of the church close to the casket. Please again dont take this the wrong way. I have aslo never seen a church like that, it looks tremendous but very beautiful.
Okay, I'm only 7 minutes in and I'm getting misty-eyed with seeing this.
I am laughing and crying at the same time.
I watched the entire thing and I was crying..... It was so good but so sad at the same time
I've never seen this before and I have to tell you, it was awesome to see it now. The beginning of her journey to the confident warrior that she became. Thanks for sharing the link!
You're welcome, everyone! We definitely got to watch so many on the Challenges "grow up".

Diem was Catholic and Catholics are usually buried after a funeral Mass is held so a full service, like Church on Sunday, takes place. Lately, many families have a "wake" as well during the service. That is to say, they will have photos up and video tributes (sometimes), eulogies will take place from the altar. I'm sorry Mr. Chunky Express took down the photo. That Church was magnificent, a fitting structure from which to bid Diem goodbye. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any other questions about a Catholic service. Happy to answer!

In Diem's reel on your youtube page, there's clips from an interview she did with Alicia back when she had cancer the second time. Does anyone know where I could watch that?
Fan compilation ~ Clearly this person is #TeamCTandDiem it is v well done, could be more poinant for me because I love that song but I found it lovely https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgk1mJezehM

I have also been looking for the interviews. I wanted to watch the ones where Diem revelaed that the cancer was being controlled and they toasted to her health. There is also the one where Alicia interviewd Diem right after she was diagnosed again and Alicia was crying. I would like to watch those as well if anyone could find them.
However, I do know where Diem's final television interview can be found. The link is vimeo.com/106333128.
It is called E! news coverage of Diem Brown and Cedars-Sinai Run.
That last interview was so sad. There was a definite sadness in her eyes. The hysterectomy really seems to have taken a toll. She wanted so badly to be a mom. It must've been so hard to remain optimistic towards the end.

Wow - I hadn't actually seen that interview. I didn't realize that she actually knew that she had cancer before she went to Panama. I had heard that she knew something wasn't right before, but didn't know she'd been diagnosed. It makes me really curious to see what MTV will do with the footage and stuff from this challenge. Do we think that they will add some of it to the tribute? On another note, so many of the cast were in NYC that week before she died (Cara Maria, Wes, Bananas, Anessa, Ashley was going...). Was that likely just because she'd been doing so poorly at the time or was there an MTV reason for them happening to be there ? It feels weird that everyone was there for a person who never really believed she was going to go. Ya know?
Yes, Diem was there with CT as her partner. I do not know how long they stayed, but I think they left after maybe the first or second episode. As far as the other cast, I think they may have been shooting something, Maybe "The Shit you Didnt See". I dont think they were there because they knew she wasnt doing well. I mean Diem didnt even think she was going to pass so I doubt that is why they were all there before.
I dont know what MTV is going to do but, I hope they are respectful and recognize that this is a very sensitive matter. Diem is no longer with us and they should honor her and remember her for the inspiration that she was. I also wonder how they will handle the episodes that Diem was a part of.
I guess Diem didint tell CT that she was diagnosed again either. From what I heard, CT left after Diem was airlifted to the hospital because he did not know the situation was that serious at first. When he found out it was, he left. Do you think he would have agreed with her going had he known?
I guess Diem didint tell CT that she was diagnosed again either. From what I heard, CT left after Diem was airlifted to the hospital because he did not know the situation was that serious at first. When he found out it was, he left. Do you think he would have agreed with her going had he known?
Well, remember she went into her very first challenge knowing that she had it too. Per the interview, she says that she went anyway because having been through it twice, she didn't take it as seriously. I assume she thought she could do treatment again afterwards, like fresh meat.
My hunch is that maybe they didn't know how serious and agressive it was at the time, and CT stayed initially because of that (and because he had a contract, interviews etc). When they knew how bad it was, I think he made the decision to leave. Let's be honest, in Battle of the Ex's they could have refilled Diem's spot with many girls he'd hooked up with. Anastasia, Cooke, etc. I did hear from someone who knows him though, that he specifically made the decision to go leave the show to go be with her.
I've said it before, but I have wondered this whole time if Diem was actually doing the show in the first place - as a favor to him. Remember that she'd very publically said she was done with Challenges after Rivals 2. It will be interesting to see in the initial show interviews what her motivation was for coming back.
Interesting. I hope the Special they air on her shows some of that behind the scenes footage. Their interviews and footage that otherwise may not make the show. From the pictures that they have released, you would never be able to tell that she was going through it again. She was still smiling. I wonder if these things can offer anymore insight. I also wonder if the producers, camera crew, and cast members will be interviewed. I would love to hear them share memories of her. Still in shock....
I think they were all in NYC to say bye to Diem. She may not have accepted that she was going to die until the day before but unfortunately it was all there. I had been preparing myself for a couple weeks to hear the news. I was still praying and hoping for a miracle but sadly saw there may not be one. I am sure some of her friends contacted her cast friends and told them "Get your *** here if you want to say bye to Diem" - ok maybe not in those words. If they are filming a $hit show it would be until they were already airing the season.
As for why Diem went on the show when she knew she had cancer .... She didn't think it was that serious. The first time she filmed a Challenge first, the second time thru she harvested eggs a couple months. The 3rd time thru decided to go film a Challenge again. Based on past comments, I'd say it was to A. Try to win money to help with medical bills. B. To do something fun before going thru it again. Risky risky move delaying cancer treatment but it falls in line with how she reacted to it everyother time she had it. CT probably knew about it, Bunim Murray probably did too. Her doctors may have OKed it too however I'd hope they advised against it. We may never know but when she said that in her interview I said to myself - welp that may have been a life ending mistake. Sorry to be blunt guys!!! We do not know if not going on the challenge would have made a difference, just soemthing I have thought about.
As for the special, I'd love to see some scenes from this upcoming Challenge but since they are not ready to promote the next Challenge, I'd doubt it. I am sure it will feature plenty of commericals for Real World Skeleton. I am expecting a lot of clips from her time on the Challenge and maybe some interviews with fellow castmates. CT leaving to be buy her side is straight out of a romance movie and unbelieavble romantic. I hope they are extremely tasteful in what they air - they certainly have plenty of time to figure it out but I'd love to see him announce he is leaving to go be with Diem.
That interview is so hard to watch for a number of reasons. First because Diem looks beautiful but very ill and you can tell this time was different for her. And secondly becuase she revealed she knew something was wrong beforehand. The most important thing about cancer is early diagnosis. Everyday the cancer sits there without being treated, the chances of beating it become smaller and smaller. My doctor always says, "You have an intuition for a reason- if something doens't feel right, it most likely is not." That's probaly one of the most devastating aspects of Diem's passing and it haunts me. Who knows what would've happend had she skipped the challenge but the mystery is so crushing.

So, I don't know much about the medical field. But I actually believe that harvesting your eggs increases odds for ovarian cancer as well. So who knows if that could have attributed to it, or the delay. Either or - it was a pretty agressive cancer this time. And It's still devastating. I feel so weird that I have been so effected considering I didn't know her.
On another note for more insight into the funeral:
I know. I hate to think those things because what has happened has happened. However, the thought has crossed my mind many times, what if she had a full hysterrectomy the first time she was diagnosed? I know how badly she wanted children but, what if that would have prevented her from having recurrences and passing away so young. Idk, like I said I dont like to think about it.
I find it hard to believe that CT knew. If he did know why didnt he leave with her when she was airlifted to the hospital? I read somewhere that he stayed behind and didnt leave until he got info that it was complications from the cancer. Wouldnt he had left right when he knew she was leaving??
And yes that interview makes me really sad. You can see the hurt and pain in her eyes. And the most haunting thing she says in the interview is , "Im going to do as much as I can" its as if she knew this time was going to be different...
This interview shocked me. I'm surprised she still went on Challenge after she was diagnosed. And it was ovarian again that spread to stomach and colon. I didn't know that. Very sad. She looked so frustrated and sad. Heartbreaking...
But I'm assuming they got all the pictures directly from Diem's family and friends so they must be okay with it right.....again, operative word "assuming."
