This season has been quite amazing, especially Dandy. That actor definitely brings on the theatrics. I was definitely annoyed when they killed off one of the most prominent inoccent characters (M* P******) this week. But we are halfway through the season and AHS is known for bringing back characters from the grave, crossing my fingers that cruel maid makes another appearance and of course the insane clown.
By the way, was Coven really that good?!!! I mean is it really a crossover of the Craft and Mean Girls and to an extent Heaters?? I missed that season and Netflix has yet updated their catalog.

An improvement on Asylum? That's really not possible... imo lol... Asylum had the best acting this show has ever seen. While it did seem a bit all over the place, upon rewatching it, it is absolutely fantastic!! The most "horror" this show has ever seen... always kept you on the edge of your seat every ep with how twisted they would really get haha... the Alien stuff did seem a bit out of place, but it does make a lot of sense of why they included it (just wish they had done it a bit differently).
And everyone does NOT think Coven was top notch... it was actually the worst season ever... like the WORST. Incredibly incoherent, pointless character archs, pointless episodes, and just no proper climax the way the others built into. The storytelling was like they were changing the script on set... it was just complete shit. The only thing that saved that season was the trio of Lange, Bates, and Bassett. Though their characters didn't live up to potential, at least their OTT acting was good lol... Roberts had a few good one-liners but that was about it. The rest of the cast was just blahhh... and not to my surprise they basically took Coven's cast and put it in Freak Show adding a couple new actors (that aren't very good).
Freak Show did have huge potential on plot alone... we've had some good storylines and some not so good ones already... but there really is no clear plan with this season. Feels like it's becoming Coven all over again... written on the spot and just shite... there's still 6 more episodes, so who knows... but so far my hopes are not high. Murphy is killing his show... this always happens... he gets an idea for a new show (Scream Queens, ACS) and just gives his current show a ********* job so he can focus on the future. Such a let down...

There's no bandwagon. This show was actually made to appeal women and gay males. If you haven't noticed by the music numbers, the dreamy actors, and gay erotica that goes on just about every episode of this seasons and passed. So don't get your hopes up on this show getting intense and gorify with full of testosterone cause that's why there's shows like the Walking Dead in which features just about no dialogue and nail biting scenes. If that's not your liking either maybe you can wait for the Evil Dead series in which set to debut next year on STARZ, the network that brought you that intense erotic phallus-showing war series, Sparticus.
