That scene with the clown and the girl and the boy was super creepy, I won't be sleeping tonight. The first episodes hasn't finished yet, but this season it's already better than Coven.

**** what is wrong with this clown??? What is he saving them for??
Okay, I'm in the minority because I wasn't impressed. Maybe my expectations are just too high but I don't see a true story line yet. Nor do I have any idea who we're supposed to "like" so far after the scene with the "freaks" stabbing the dead "pig"
Obviously I'm not giving up on it but I thought it was by far the weakest of the premiers. The best scenes, by far, were the ones with the clown
Fantastic premiere., though let's remember Coven also had a great premiere as well. The follow-up with the storylines is always Murphey's weak point so let's see.
I loved it!!! I mean it did have its ups and its downs, but for the most park I thought it was very well crafted... Introduced us to all the different characters very well and really brought the whole 50s era to life. The music composed for this season is actually perfect!!! So creepy and atmospheric!! I also love the set pieces... the fairgrounds are awesome!! It was slow at times (like the length it took for bette & dot to actually get to the freakshow... too many hospital scenes), but for the most part I thought the pace was really good! I do agree that the premiere really left me confused as who to root for in the situation... but I guess what Sister Jude said was right "All monsters are human" hahhaa
Twisty was absolutely brilliant and did give me a few chills... AHS has never done that. Even Bloody Face didn't make me squirm, so that was a first haha... when he stalked up to the girl and then went into a bow and kept pulling things out of his jacket.. gah that was good.
The ********* and musical number were a litttttle out of place, but i guess I can deal. The song left me so confused with how to react... half of me was enchanted by the performance and the other half just wanted to laugh my *** off! haha
Only thing that really really realllllly irked me was the bearded lady's accent... uughhh I couldn't place the accent and it just felt like a mess. Talking normally one second and then random words will sound weird... maybe its normal, I dunno, but its an accent i'm not used to hearing lol... oh and also Mon Petite (she is extremely adorable and I already love her)... I can barely understand her.. gonna get used to the high pitched voice because every time she spoke i picked up on maybe one or two words lol... and i'm still not sure how I feel about that ending.. I mean it was a cool twist, but I just got extreme flashbacks of Shelly loool
Aside from that I thought it was great! Love the music, the sets, the characters, the abornmalities used (btw some shots of B&D were really bad, but for the most part I think they pulled it off), the storyline, and the direction (I don't know why, but that scene with them running through the hospital with the bed had my heart racing for no reason haha it was so exciting!)... I am definitely looking forward to what the rest of the season has up its sleeves (hopefully not a pair of scissors... looking at you, Twisty...)
This idea can be either really good or really bad.
It makes sense. But it just seems too blatantly obvious. Let's wait and see what episode two has to offer, see if there's any more alien easter eggs, like newspaper clippings, radio broadcasts, etc..
It could be great if they do it right. Murphy said season 5 has been planned out for a while.
I've been thinking about the possibility of aliens next season. If it's on the level of M. Night Shyamalan's Signs I am 100% onboard. That shit still freaks me out to this day!!!
There was a lot of references to classic horror movies in the premiere... usually those are sublte but in not in the premiere... Stage Fright... Hitchcock... a character's last name is Haddonfield (Halloween)... what if next season involved old hollywood? young actors and actresses on the sets of horror movies? haha that could be meta and fun (its a theme a lot of fans have been wanting).... it might be a bit of stretch, but i'd like it
I'm not sure if I'm ready for an Aliens/Area 51 theme because I feel like we were just exposed to that in Asylum. Old Hollywood would be AMAZING though! That reminds me, I keep to catch the premire of Freak Show before I forget and let the season slip right by me
**** my mom came to watch just as the kid was giving this chick the shocker omg wow.
THAT ****** CLOWN! WHAT THE SH!*
I'm having nightmares...I guarantee it...
OMG! I know right!!! I can't even deal with this!! He is so terrifying!!

That preview did really look great. IMO Asylum still is better, but this one is my second favorite so far.
Am I the only one who thought it was weak? Not impressed at all. Hopefully they can save it. Very slow.
Did you deliberately skip kvm's comment? haha
Lol I swear I didn't. My bad.

Let's see if it can maintain those numbers!
'American Horror Story' Lands 5th Season Pick-up
Though not in this article, Murphy has stated that subtle hints to next season's theme can be found in episodes one and two of 'Freak Show'...

But omggggg if they did it riiiight!!!!!!!!! That would be amazing!! I love aliens!!
Me too, I freaking love aliens. I have high hopes for it.

Just saw season 2 and the first episode of season 4!
First time I check out and I actually loving this show
**** yeah! Welcome to the dark side PR, haha!
Glad you liked it, season 2 is the best one by far IMO.
