The smartest move that can be made now, would be for Cody to use veto and save one of the nominees, back dooring Caleb or Frankie.
But, Cody needs permission from Derrick to do anything, so this will be a wasted HOH, with Donny more than likely going to jury.
I don't think Donny will win in the end. His only strategy is being nice. So if Cody wants to stick with his alliance then their smartest move is sending Nicole back to jury, as much as I hate that.
But they'll be dumb and get Donny out.

Caleb, Frankie, Cody and Victoria have a f2 / f3 deal with Derrick and if you listen to HG they fully trust Derrick. Donny is really they only one who has ever said something bad about Derrick. They trust him to a point where the only see him as being the only one that takes them to a f2. But I agree with you Derrick should win at f5 the veto and at f4 the HOH.
With whom would Caleb win in the f2?
Caleb --- Frankie (Frankie will win, because he has more comp wins and played the game)
Caleb ---- Cody (Could be a close one, but Cody has the votes from the girls locked in this situation)
Caleb --- Victoria (God please save us from this f2)
Caleb --- Christine (This could really be a 50-50 % thing)
I didn't include Nicole and Donny as I don't see them going far unless the house flipped.
I think the favorite to win is still Derrick. However, I agree with the sentiment that he is not that amazing of a player. I am sure he would panic if he was on the block. Week 2 for a second he thought he would go up and freaked out. The guy has never been tested which is also because almost everyone trusts him and runs ideas through him.
Caleb has definitely managed to fall into a very comfortable position. It is kind of shocking to see how much of a shot he has to win.
Cody can also win, the guy is good socially. He will lose against Derrick however and that is basically who he wants to go to the end with. If he was smart, he could easily go to the end with Victoria and win.
I do not foresee Frankie or Christine winning unless they are against each other. Against anyone else, they lose. Well except against Victoria, sorry I always forget her. 3 Weeks ago, I predicted a Derrick and Victoria final 2 and I am still sticking with that. I am usually decent in my big brother predictions, I called Hayden's win in season 12, 2 months before it happened. However, I thought that was obvious.

They think when zach attacked amber at the POV ceremony was a successful task and they are counting the one they did last night (whether that was a real TA task or not we will have to wait to find out).

Derrick has overplayed his hand IMO...a good cast and he may not even make the jury because he had too many deals.

I'm with Nicole in that this season is soooooo predictable. As of now no one has really done anything that is particularly note worthy, so I jury speeches will be nearly worthless come F2. It's really disappointing. Like, Caleb you got Nicole out, again, for the second time... Ummm, okay?
This season sucks because that weren't the detonaters never won anything & when they did they put eachother up. Donny & Nicole won HOH together, but went the safe route & nominated who? Jocasta & Victoria.. Also the battle of the block twist is another reason why this season blows. From a gameplay standpoint, you can't get mad at the detonaters for not turning on eachother. Look where it has gotten them. Had someone turned(Devin), they would've been a target and probably evicted.
Frankie is HOH, but that doesn't matter because they pushed the button. I'm glad they did, and I hope Frankie puts up 2 bomb squad in a attempt to get them out. So that when the week reset they can get him out. As long as Frankie doesn't win HOH again.
