When Ex-Plosion was announced, I made a comment like "What's next? Real World: Twins & Friends?".

Last season says 7 and guest visiting... Bruno also has a brother if I am not wrong he is gay. Violetta have a little sister that is like 10. Madison have 4 siblings. Nicole has sisters and she is close to them judging by IG. Tony has a cute brother. Jason and Sylvia no idea. I really doubt that would be the twist.

I forgot to mention in my original post that the reporters asked the quest about this season's twist to the MTV executives. The execs did say at the TCA's that siblings and a few other unspecified scenarios were one of the possible twists for the new season. They werent exactly going spoil the secret but only to give a hint. If the twist is indeed 'siblings' according to the reporters/TV critics asking questions to the MTV executives than they would have to keep the extra beds a secret from the houseguests so they dont suspect anything. Would the producers really let the roommates know their twist as soon as they got in the house or will they wait a few days or weeks and then bring the siblings in? The producers would probably put the extra beds in when the roommates go out partying or go on one of their short vacations like they did on Ex-plosion when the exes came in.

I hope there isn't a twist. I mean the sibling thing is stupid. They are taking away from the whole real world idea if they do that and keep doing twists.

I'm just not sure 'siblings' will be the one! MTV president Susanne Daniels said 'Ex-Plosion' revitalized the franchise. The twists are to save the show from cancellation. She said that if Ex-Plosion would've failed in the ratings she was gonna cancel the show because she thought the show was way past it's prime and needed to be put down. The good ratings for 'Ex-Plosion' made her change her mind about cancelling 'The Real World'. Thank goodness it did not fail.

The rumor of the replacement, I am NOT buying it at all lol Especially when the "possible" replacement is doing a Kristen Myers and writing on all his social Network that he is on the show that ends filming on January...Atleast get your info right, the show end filming anywhere before October 26th. I don't get why people lie about being on a show, when sooner or later they would find out they are not on it. Unless they are obnocious locals that cause drama or be friend the cast. Yeah that guy made several tweets that he was going to be on. I don't buy it for a second.

I hope next season's twist saves the show once again. If it doesnt Susanne Daniels is once again willing to pull the plug on 'The Real World'. Let's hope for some ratings as good as 'Ex-Plosion' and perhaps even better!

OMG, Susanne Daniels is merciless, I hope she doesn't cancel The Real World or the Challenge anytime soon, I won't know what to do with my life. I have hope for some more couple of seasons. The only shows on MTV doing better are Teen Mom 2 and Catfish, with Teen Wolf sometimes beating it.

She was brought in to breathe new life into what was/is a dying network. She's making big moves, but it won't be until next year that they come to fruition.

She used to run Lifetime, cancelled many shows on that network over the years and was brought in to save MTV from dying LOL.

At one time she wanted to cancel all of the Teen Mom shows because she doesnt like that type of programming and believes MTV shouldnt be doing that type of exploitation. She has kids of her own and wont let them watch the show but she still has Teen Mom 2 because it's still one of the highest rated shows on TV. Teen Mom 2, 16 & Pregnant' and 'The Real World' are her least favorite shows on the network. They're only around because they still get decent ratings. She really doesnt care for any of these shows at all otherwise. If she had it her way despite the good ratings for the shows they would all be cancelled but fortunately for all of us she cant. Susanne said MTV's future is in docudramas,sitcoms and scripted dramas. She is hoping the new upcoming MTV series ' Shannara' will be the networks' 'Game of Thrones' and Victoria Justice's 'Eye Candy' its version of CSI.

I've talked about the latter in the Scripted TV Shows thread, but I forgot about Eye Candy. She's doing everything she can to make MTV a powerhouse again, moving away from the reality TV aspect (she has some faith in Real World, but that only goes so far). She's looking for numbers at least half of what The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones pull in.

In my opinion they shouldn't focus on scripted shows. Teen Wolf does good, Awkward isn't as strong as it was, Finding Carter is not a hit by any means (even though I love it) and don't get me started on Faking It, I don't even know how it got renewed. Other scripted shows that have flopped for them are Underemployed, The Imbetweeners, Skins, I Just Want My Pants Back and I must be missing another one. From the upcoming ones, the only one that looks promising IMO is the Scream series. Reality shows have worked for them in the past, they just need to find something that engages the viewer. As PinkRose has mentioned a lot of times, there are a lot of options nowadays for people, they need to find something that makes the show unique. Even though I'm not that big of a fan of Catfish, it's something that we haven't seen before.

We walked by Tony and Madison filming a scene outside of their place this evening when we were on our way to dinner. No juicy stuff for you guys; just that their conversation seemed to be heated. Tony looked like he was trying to calm Madison down about something. What was crazy was that for just those two cast members, they had SIX crew members! Crazy. As for the twist, maybe they'll bring in double beds so they can keep it to 7. But I hope there isn't a twist.

Weren't Tony and Madison speculated to being hooking up?
