As you said it is a numbers game. And the numbers are on your side if you're part of a strong alliance regardless of where you rank in that alliance. Your odds of winning are better when you're in the final 5 as opposed to the final 10.
To get mid game I agree. But these guys know that some of them are going to get screwed if the alliance is that big. If your a dude, you see CT/Zach, not many of these guys want to go up against them. That leaves 1 spot for five/six guys? I see a big alliance for the first couple of votes to throw in the rookies but thats it.
I have to disagree with you, Cooke preformed very well on rivals 2 apart from eating the bugs and **** in the final, she was one of the few girls to be able to jump from one trapeze to the next in the swingers challenge not even Emily could do it, and some of the guys couldn't even do it, she was very fast and agile and i would love to see her on the duel 3 or free agents 2 or even rivals 3 with Diem
Then we will have to agree to disagree - I don't think doing well at swingers proves any more about her, than the first challenge on Free Agents proved Jessica worthy. Also, as I have stated before I may see her through jaded glasses as I don't think much of her as human being - anyone who sets out to "break" someone else (that was her word not mine) who is undergoing harsh medical treatments (& one could argue should not even have been cleared to participate) is not someone I can cheer on. I don't like Laurel, she cant be quite mean spirited (ie: her hot tub attack on Big Easy for what looking in her direction), but I can't deny she is a beast at competition and I think a narcissist but not a d****e, or Emily - killer competitor but don't have a snack she doesn't approve of or fire & judgement will come down on you forever. Finally, unless **** is about to freeze over I don't see Diem being partnered with someone who was intentionally such a jerk. Honestly, I am surprised (pleasantly but still) by the idea of her agreeing to this but know it would only be with CT
I think if indeed CT & Diem are once again paired up I think it'll be smart if they target Bananas & Nany and take them out before the final. If you look at who we believe is the cast CT and Diem have a lot if friends on this season who would love to see Bananas gone ASAP so at some point CT & Diem have to decide if they want to be the team who takes out Bananas & Nany because I believe they match up better than most of the other pairs. But sadly I don't see that happening unless another pair puts them in against eachother because Diem is really bad when it comes to elimination rounds she's 1-5 in elimination and in her 1 win she went in with fire and determination which led to the win but in her 5 losses she went in scared and ****** at the whole world which lead to her losses.
I think every team have something to beat B&N because Nany is not THAT good.
Puzzle - Sarah&Jordan
Water - Wes, Dustin
Endurance - Johnny R
Physical - Zack
Its not like it is battle between Bananas&CT
What is the reasoning for Ct even being in this season and or what evidence is there?. Excuse my ignorance I just want to know.
I completely understand. He was spotted at LAX, has been MIA from all social media, was confirmed as getting a first call and a second call.
Also if Danny couldn't even survive the first week in Fresh Meat with Evelyn as a partner he will probably be sent home really early with Melinda.
Danny is by no means an elite competitor but FM1 was stacked with great players.
Also, factor in that the whole was trying to break up the Austin alliance. Wes had to go against his friends in all those exiles then keep going in and eliminating everyone else.
I think a better measure was Danny in Gauntlet 3. He lost to Adam in Ball Brawl.
Danny might have a chance at a Final if Wes, Bananas, etc. are on it too and the politics fall the right way.
However, he will most likely fall midway through the game when he comes in last on a challenge and the house throws him in against Johnny Reilly or Zack.
What is the reasoning for Ct even being in this season and or what evidence is there?. Excuse my ignorance I just want to know.
Lets look at the seasons with/without Ct. The show was at its peak till around the FM1/Duel1 and was popular regardless of cast till that point.
Duel 1 - high ratings, Ct storyline
Inferno 3 - low ratings, Ct left ep.1
Gauntlet 3 - high ratings, Ct storyline
The Island - terrible ratings, no Ct
Duel 2 - low ratings till final, Ct left early
The Ruins - low ratings except ep.2
Fresh Meat 2 - terrible ratings
Cutthroat - terrible ratings
Rivals 1 - revitalized the series, almost like the show started here for today's audience, Ct storyline
Exes 2 - great ratings
Season - terrible ratings
Rivals 2 - good rating
Free Agents - bad ratings, no Ct storyline
There is a direct correlation between Ct being on the show, having a pivotal storyline and the show doing well. V1 mentioned that Ct has by far the highest Q rating among the cast, which shouldn't surprise anyone.
The show's image is Ct, if you talk to random people in real life, visit other forums, they all want to talk about Ct and how ****** and tough he is. Honestly, most neutrals look at JEK, Wes and how badly they try to play like little girls staying out of eliminations at all cost and turn off from that style.
Bill Simmons, Bus Driver, and tons of other fans look at Ct like he's a mythical beast that everyone is afraid of and that is what most people want to see. Not a bunch of scared "game players". This show is built around its characters and Ct is the last true original personality straight from the streets of Boston.
Zach is another dude all about competition, in promos they're trying to promote him as the next Ct having him do the commercials on youtube and lots of extras. They realize these "beasts" are what people want to see.
A lot of people didn't know CT was doing this one. Most likely he changed or someone changed their mind last minute
My guess is CT wasn't going to be on this one because they couldn't find him a partner but then CT and Bananas convinced Diem to do it last minute therefore leading CT to be on it.
Ct/Diem won't be against Bananas. Diem is too close to Johnny plus CT/Diem/Bananas were all seen hanging out together not too long ago.

I can't imagine Diem agreeing to EVER partner with Cooke after Rivals II. Her dislike of what Cooke did to and said about her was palpable at that Reunion Show. It really must have been tough as I find Diem to be a very forgiving person and I use Jemmye as the example. After that screeching diatribe Jemmye unleashed on her in the kitchen, I give Diem props; I couldn't/wouldn't have done it. I also agree with you that the only reason she's back for Exes II is because she's partnered with CT.

It doesn't matter. Nobody is going to think for themselves or do things that will benefit their game (and if they do they usually make stupid moves or play scared). All they're going to do is just get in an alliance with their friends and wait to be eliminated.

True and unfortunate, and for me I think that is the bigger problem with the ratings - no one wants to tune in to watch them hang out with their pals... I occasionally find myself screaming at the tv - just grow a set and do SOMETHING instead of this well I'll just go with the house and send in yyy - UGH exhausting! <-- This is new I rarely agree with you!:surprise:

Awww lol I find myself always agreeing with Debut. He's the cutest! :D
Not only that we have already seen this pair in battle of the seasons and they were bad.
Really though you can't take their performance on Battle of the Seasons and use that against them. Danny actually climbed the ladder in the first challenge faster than most of the guys, well it seemed, and the second challenge that was just him and Melinda was that stupid wrestling game that everyone threw..and then their arena was the Balls Out arena which was a total **** shoot really. So we don't actually no if they've improved as competitors or not.
Since Frank is only one who I follow on social media, I noticed he have not posted anything recently. I know he 'quit' but could it be some same *** secret couple?
It's their fault & no one else's. So many who still want to do the show, from the newer seasons, what I call the middle seasons (San Diego - Hollywood) even from the single-digit seasons (Beth/Syrus/Ruthie/Belou), yet the way that they've handled this show since 2007-08 shows so much. They wonder why they now have to scramble & come up w/ lame themes to keep this show going.
Wait...Belou wanted to do more!?!?!? Why was she never cast again?
A new cast every season would have destroyed this show on it's 2nd season. Bringing back fan favorites = ratings.
Agreed!
Frank never quit. They wouldn't have a same *** male team, it would be to unfair.
Could they put Cooke and Frank? I know I know he is gay, bla bla bla but Rivals 2 **** they should have shown they talked about them 'hooking up', were in the same bed and Frank said he just missed his bf.
Wait...Belou wanted to do more!?!?!? Why was she never cast again?
Agreed!
Lol...probably because she brought her baby on the challenge and expected everyone to cater to her.

His only partner would be JD (I think) and he was active recently on twitter.
Didn't they try to have two men on the first exes and it fell through? Davis and Ryan I believe?
Lol...probably because she brought her baby on the challenge and expected everyone to cater to her.
The leaving her child by the window during a hurricane and *****ing someone out about saying something to her about it probably didn't help.
However, she also holds the distinction for being the only cast member to bring a nanny with her.
